Needles Safari Lodge - enjoyable with all senses

Left on 08/28/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Staying at Needles Lodge is an ultimate pleasure!
Your friendly and really caring host Denis spoils you with freshly baked bread and delightful three-course-meals accompanied by carefully selected wines. Sit on the wooden verandah with an ice-cold beer or sundowner in hand and experience close encounters with animals, like warthog, zebra or kudu, which pass by. Next to the pool sun loungers are inviting you to lay down and relax and if you need a book just grab an illustrated travel guide from the library. The beautifully decorated lodge is ideally situated between Crocodile Bridge Gate and Malelane Gate of Krugerpark, which are both only a short drive away. Needles Lodge also offers all kind of tours and Denis, who has years of "bush-experience" will be happy to tailor individual safaris and trips for you. .Needles lodge is offering you much more, just come and visit, we can highly recommend.

Great find, added an unexpected delight to our trip to South afr

Left on 06/02/2012 for a stay in May 2012

On our arrival we were greeted with enthusiasm by new owner Denis and Philomena who were out in the front of the property watching giraffes feeding in the trees. We were shown around the property and taken to our room which was spacious, had an excellent bathroom all with an african touch. During our 3 day stay we enjoyed a variety of excellent meals containing local fresh produce. Denis had a sound knowledge of South african wine and was able to assist us with choices to complement our meals.
We wished to change our itinerary during our stay and Denis went out of his way to organise very capable guides for a game drive into the Kruger National Park and a fishing trip on the Komati river.
The Lodge is situated close to the Kruger, is easy to find and is easily accessed from the main highway.
On leaving we left behind a bag and Denis and Phil followed us for many kilometres finally tracking us down to return our forgotten bag.
We thoroughly enjoyed Denis and Phils company and have no hesitation in recommending this lodge to anybody considering visiting the Kruger and want affordable but quality accommodation that is situated close to the park.

      Magical Bush Experience

Left on 05/15/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Just a short 5.5hrs away from Durban, what a lovely place to visit for the weekend. Service was great, food was awesome and wonderful company and not to even mention a super game drive. Lots of animals to see, even right on your bedroom doorstep. It is a "must visit" destination. To Dennis and the team, well done and we look forward to seeing you soon. Jacques and Janeen
