The local property representative will meet you at a prearranged place and guide you to the villa. At that point (or, if your arrival time is late, the following day), the representative will answer any questions and introduce you to the spectacular island of Crete. A representative will also remain available on a 24-hour help line for any further assistance you might need.
Although this villa has 5 bedrooms, it is only rented for 6 people in this listing. If you would like to rent it for more people, please see Villa Theseus.

After several years, we went back in 2011 to the beautifull Villa Maroulas.
And since our 1st stay in 2007, the owner has made a very good job in renovation and everything was perfect.
Today, Villa Maroulas is really the best place to stay in Crete.

The rooftop deck afforded great views of the sea. The inner courtyard was quiet, private and peaceful.
The kitchen could stand to be bigger and the downstairs bedrooms are musty. We were not pleased with the cleaning services or the fact we could not do our own laundry (no washing machine).
Great tavernas, great walking and hiking. Very peaceful and quiet village.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!
It's seclusion in the small village of Maroulas was lovely. It was very quiet and peaceful, and was a very welcome break from the city of Athens. It was, however, very easy to get from the house to the various cities in Crete and anywhere on the island we wished to go.
Although I realize it was designed as a summer home, it was extremely cold. This wasn't a large problem, however.
The view was beautiful, and the village extremely charming. The easy access to Rethymno and from there to the rest of the island was also very convenient.
