Boston, MABeautiful Riad, Great Service
Left on 01/27/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Our family of 7 rented the Riad Naila for four nights right before Christmas - it was our first stop in Morocco. It is a beautifully restored and maintained Dar. Abdul and his wife were there every morning. Breakfasts were sumptuous and a first night dinner was a delicious and well presented way to begin our trip. There were no downsides to any thing about the Riad. Rather, lessons for us - with very poor French, we should have had a good French/English dictionary. We also should have arranged a tourguide for our first day in Marrakech as we did later in Fez. We should have come with better maps, but were grateful to find some in the Riad. Marrakech was our least favorite place because of the intensity of the touts and the motorcycles. That said, everything we arranged through the Riad - transport, food, laundry - was exceptional. The recommended spa, which we visited, will live in family mythology as a great good value experience. I highly recommend this Riad and thank aleksander, Abdul and his wife for our wonderful visit. Just a note that it was the only place we stayed where I found a hairdryer - a nice surprise.

Left on 09/17/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We have just returned from a most enjoyable holiday in Morocco. Our brief stay in Marrakesh was made all the more enjoyable by having such a wonderful place to stay. From the moment we stepped into Riad Naila we were impressed by the tranquility and comfort of the surroundings. Riad Naila provided an oasis to the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and we were able to relax on the beautiful sun terrace and enjoy the sounds of the medina. We were delighted to discover the resident tortoise and she benefited from slices of cucumber and peaches during our stay.
The Riad encapsulates the atmosphere of Morocco and is tastefully decorated with local artefacts. Each of the four bedrooms have a different feel and charm. The central courtyard is a pleasant place to eat meals and relax.
Abdul and his wife were charming and made us feel most welcome; they obviously work hard to ensure the Riad is kept clean and comfortable.
The Riad is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the main square taking you through the delightful labyrinth of the souk. It is great fun discovering all the different sights and smells en route and we felt safe at all times.
We will treasure the memories of our stay. -

I booked the riad after reading the positive reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. The riad caretaker, Abdel and his wife were amazing. As there was 7 in the group, there was plenty of room in the riad for all of us. I loved the roof terrace, great place to relax after long day at souks. Only small let down was that two of the rooms had no air conditioning, therefore could make life slightly difficult if you were to stay here over summer period. Other than that, can't fault this little gem, will definitely return on my next trip.

We had a wonderful stay in Riad Naila and our family enjoyed it thoroughly. Riad Naila really made us feel at home (especially the kids), thanks to the caring service provided by abdel and Najoua. Also, Kamal the recommended taxi owner made our trip worry free by taking us around to the right places on all the days we were there. Could you please convey our gratitude and thanks to Kamal, Abdel, and Najoua for taking care of us so well.
Many thanks to the owner for being very thoughtful and arranging a baby chair at a short notice even though we did not expect it. We hope to go back to Marrakech and hope to be guests at Riad Naila again.
The owner has very helpful, responded to all queries and made sure every detail is taken care of.

We were three couples renting the Riad Naila which was located at the north end of the Medina in a quiet residential area 5 minutes from the Souk. The riad is very well positioned within a tranquil and friendly neighborhood. The owner sent us a comprehensive list of airport instructions, directions, suggestions, and important cell phone numbers for our stay in Marrakech. He made our airport taxi arrangements and organized our dinner for the first day. His staff, Abdel and Najoua who managed the house and prepared our daily breakfasts and occasional dinners were very helpful and Najoua is an exceptionally good cook. The meals were not included in the riad rental but were well worth their cost. The Riad was comfortable with lots of private spaces within. The roof top terrace was large with beautiful potted plants and a nicely designed shaded area for gathering. Three of the bedrooms were a good size and two had en suite bathrooms. The 4th bedroom is a single. Although we could have had all of our meals on the terrace, the weather was unseasonably cool with some rain. The central courtyard on the ground floor had been made into a large dining area which suited us perfectly.
We had a very comfortable stay in the Riad Naila. It was the perfect size for two or three couples or a family. We would definitely rent it again and recommend it highly. -

This riad was better than we could have imagined. The pictures looked gorgeous but the reality was even better.
The riad is spacious and beautifully decorated. The roof terrace is absolute luxury and the housekeepers are wonderful.
The riad offers peace and tranquility after a busy day in the souks. It was a lovely haven to come home to.
We really could not fault it in any way. A perfect place to stay in Marrakecha and worth ever penny. The Riad owners are also extremely helpful and ensure you feel comfortable with all the arrangements for your stay.

SchweizBezauberndes Riad - ideal fĂĽr Familien oder Gruppen
Left on 02/11/2012 for a stay in February 2012

We spent one week in Riad Naila and can highly recommend it. There were 4 young children in our party (aged 7, 6, 4 and 3) and they loved having so much space to run around and play in. The bedrooms are all comfortable and beautifully-decorated. The living areas are also very comfortable - we loved the roof terrace and the courtyard patio. The library was great when it got cool in the evening. Abdel and Najoua who were on hand to help out during our stay were friendly and extremely helpful. The kids loved them! We paid for them to make us a delicious breakfast on a couple of occasions. The Riad has all the facilities you could want including the biggest bath I've ever seen! The location is fabulous - away from the hustle and bustle of the souks and the centre but it is a very short walk to everything you need. If you choose Riad Naila for your stay you will not be disappointed.

Riad Naila is lovely, with tasteful decor, all the amenities, and a serene terrace. Wonderfully, the riad is at the end of a long passageway, far from the motor bikes and traffic sounds of the medina. Even so, it's a short, pleasant walk to the souqs and all the action in the medina. I have stayed there twice, both times with different visitors and their families, and hope to stay there again on my next trip. You will enjoy your stay there without a doubt! Oh, and don't miss the lovely breakfast.

We had a wonderful time in Marrakech, staying at the Riad Naila. The Riad is perfectly located, just a few steps from the Medina, yet absolutely quiet. You enjoy complete privacy in a tastefully decorated traditional Maroccan home. Unlike in other Riads you have the whole place for yourself when you rent it. The house is well equipped, there is plenty of space to relax, a wonderful patio to have drinks or dinner and a magnificent rooftop terrace to unwind after a busy day in town. The service is very discrete, yet abdul, the caretaker, and his wife Najoua who live next door are always there if you need any help. We look forward to being back soon!

Often a place doesn't live up to the promotional pictures seen in advance - Riad Naila was much better! It's well located within the medina and is an absolute oasis. We had arranged for a dinner to be prepared on the first night by the manager abdul, and the setting was really magical in such a superb riad. We loved Morocco and we fell in love with Riad Naila. The owner, Aleksander, also did much beforehand to ensure our stay was so good.

The Riad's keeppers were wonderful - very helpful and nothing too much trouble - we dint speak any French and we still manage to communicate. The breakfast at the riad was fabulous. the donwside (if it is) is that it can be a bit daunting for some people to walk through the dark alleys to get to the house. you get used to it. we hired the driveer alex recommended and it was worth it.

We arrived after dark and that first short walk at night down the dimly lit, winding alleyways to get to the Riad was slightly scary; but we were well rewarded when we arrived at our destination.
The warm welcome we received from abdel and Najoua (the Riad caretaker and his girlfriend) along with the meal we'd arranged to be provided on that first night (tajine de boeuf aux pruneaux) was magnificent and a great start to the holiday. The Moroccan breakfast we'd organised for the following day was a real treat and one I'd recommend.
Najoua looked after us excellently, advising of places to go and prices to aim for when haggling!
It's not often that the photos match the reality but Riad Naila delivers. The rooms are gorgeous and the bathrooms a stylish mix of traditional and modern. It is a truly beautiful oasis of tranquillity just a five minute walk away from the souks leading to the hub-bub of Jemaa el Fna and the city.
We had a fantastic time and feel privileged to have stayed here. We would like to extend our thanks to abdel and Najoua once again and hope to return before too long.
We will certainly be recommending Riad Naila to family and friends. -

Wonderful house. Great location (in an authentic neighbourhood but still in walking distance to the main attractions). The caretakers who speak French are most helpful, so is also a driver who can be booked for out of town trips. We especially appreciated the fact to "order in" the most delicious Tajines and Couscous which we ate on the terrace, thus relaxing after a day discovering Marrakech.
Riad Naila suits sophisticated travellers who appreciate comfort and typical but not over the top surroundings.

This was our first trip to Marrakesh, and we didn't know what to expect. We were met at the airport, taken to the Riad, and were greeted and settled in comfortably. This riad is conveniently located and a 10 minute walk from the souks and the square. It was very clean and nice, and provided the security that I wanted for the 5 of us. Having it as an exclusive rental was very nice. The temperature was cool in May when we were there. During the hotter months it is possible that it may become somewhat uncomfortable. We loved it, and will stay there again.

The photos on the website do not do justice to this lovely Riad. This was our first trip to Marrakech, and it far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I, along with our four children aged 4-12 had the perfect base to explore the city. Since you rent the entire house, my boisterous kids were able to explore the nooks and crannies of the "palace" without us worrying about their laughter or loud voices disturbing other guests. In the evening, my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy a glass of wine in the courtyard while the kids played games, and in the mornings the entire family ate breakfast on the roof terrace and fed the turtles.
The location is close enough to the souks that we walked everywhere. We felt safe and pampered. The Riad itself is spacious, with a well equipped kitchen, charming courtyard and roof terrace. I felt as if I were in an Architectural Digest feature about Morocco. Abdel the caretaker was very helpful, and met us when we arrived after our overnight train ride to lead us to the Riad.
What a wonderful place. We will be back as soon as possible!

I spent at week at Riad Naila in November with my girlfriend. We had been there before in January 2008 and we loved it so much we went back again! It is a lovely riad in the medina in Marrakech. You really get a feel for what Moroccan life staying there. The riad is very spacious and can accommodate 3 couples at least. The terrace was our favorite place to hang out particularly in the morning. The warm sun, coffee, breakfast and fresh squeezed orange juice just started the day off right. We would often lounge around and read in the afternoon if we wanted a break from the souks. In the evening, we often sat on the paio with candles lit and looked up at the stars while enjoyed some wine and olives. Everything worked well and there is even wireless internet this time! When we were there in January it was a bit chilly at night but now there are nice space heaters in all of the bedrooms and a big one on the patio. There is also a heatlamp on the terrace. So it didn't really matter that it was winter (daytime temperatures were in the 70s-low 80sF; nightime would drop into the 40s at times. I can't wait to go back again!

Vienna, AustriaA fairy tale palace!
Left on 02/06/2010 for a stay in February 2010
If anyone wants the excitement, adventure, and something mystical, Marrakesh is the city to visit! And if anyone wants to come back to a place after all the excitement and adventure of Marrakesh after a long day of sightseeing, Riad Naila is the place! This is a fairy tale palace! We (my wife and daughter) loved the space and magical Riad Naila every second that we were there! I recommend Riad Naila for anyone who wants to experience a mystical and magical time. We will definitely visit the Riad again in the near future.
