Great time with family

We love staying at this resort because it is so scenic. We were disappointed the pool was closed because our grandchildren loved using it the last time we visited. We will try the Habitat zip line next time. Went to the aAC in Maggie Valley and flew in the wind tunnel. That was great fun.

A Wonderful Relaxing Escape

We spent two nights at the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views were great. My wife and I had just married earlier in the week and we were vacationing with our kids and her mom. There was plenty of room in the cabin, the kitchen had everything we needed, the decks were nice, and the entire resort area was peaceful and quiet. We had spent several days on the coast and had a great time, but our kids were asking when we could go back to the cabin once we got home. We will definitely return!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin rental. It was a beautiful home with a great view. The cabin was large and at a great price for the size. Everything was clean and our dogs felt right at home. We would love to come back again in the future!

Out of the world, Exceeds all Expectations!

Truely close to heaven, top of the world; Mountain Majesty is named so right!! This Spacious 4 bedroom lovely mountain top home comes with all possible comfort, tasteful decor, gorgeous master bedroom, hot tub, grill, lots of games, plenty of good beds etc etc and most importantly amazing view! The hightlight should be glass enclosed heated pool with huge slide, on the tip of the highest montain in the area! Children loved it, even adults could not have enough out of this pool, huge hot tub area! A very Large parking lot is 2 mins walk from the cabin (2 cars can be parked infont of it nicely). Pisgah National Forest (Land of Waterfalls) is close, even Grand Father mountain is just an hour drive! Plenty to do around the cabin itself. But when you go to mountain, the best you want to enjoy is the Great mountain and thats all you will get here... sourrouded by gorgeous great mountain; you can spend entire day sitting on the rocking chair on the wrap around porch admiring the greatest creation on the earth, the beautiful mountain... year around, in all season, you will never get bored! Right from Sun rise till Sun set, 180 degree of breath-taking view!
Best of the best is, Ower John! Very kind and helpful, an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you so much John for letting us use your cabin at the very last moment notice. Hope to be there soon.

Great time had by all

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. There were three families represented by our group, and we never felt as if we were on top of each other. The master suite downstairs is very nice and spacious. The only warning is to heed the emails when they say you need snow chains and/or four wheel drive to get to the cabin. The cabin is very far up the mountain. We had a very snowy, windy travel day and would not have made it up the mountain without both snow chains and four wheel drive. After the first day, however, the staff did an excellent job keeping the roads clear.

Family Reunion

My children, brother, sister, their children and their families and one great-great niece had 3 cabins.
We all enjoyed our stay, our families enjoyed the hot tub, game rooms, swimming, hiking and the views.
We could not have asked for a better location to enjoy our time together.

Labor day weekend

We spend Labor Day Weekend at Scenic Wolf Resort and had a perfect time. This was our second visit to this resort. Overall, our stay was pleasant. Cabin (141 - Mountain Majesty) was clean and roomy. Pool is clean. Grounds are kept nicely with the exception of playground. This is our only mild complaint. Playground is definitely needs attention.

Lovely roomy cabin gave our family all the together and privacy areas we needed for a great family get together.
Appreciated the double bunks for the kids;upgrading the trundle to a regular bed would be a good idea.

We had several families staying together, and we had a blast. The only complaint was the parking, or lack of room to park at the cabin. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We had great snow, almost too much, and the skiing was as good as it gets east of the Mississippi.

we stayed in #141 this year. It was wonderful as all the cabins are. Last year we had 1 cabin. this year we had 3 cabins. Next year we booked 4 cabins. My sisters family has #141. The master was great, you can also see skiers coming down one of the slopes from porch. Highly recommended. cvn

Anniversary Getaway!

I chose this particular cabin because of the large master bath. It was the nicest master bath I saw of the cabins available to rent. My husband and I were the only occupants so the master bed and bath were important to us. It worked out great. It was very quiet being on the lower level. I was glad there weren't as many steps to get down to the lower level as there was in cabin #221 (Happy Days) that we had stayed in on our previous visit. Cabin #221 is a wonderful cabin, but there are a lot of steps to get to the lowest level. We knew the main level accommodations would be fine, and they were. I personally got a kick out of all the fancy crystal light fixtures. There is a nice crystal chandelier over the dining room table and there are numerous crystal light fixtures in both the master bedroom and bath. I don't think it's pictured on the website, but there is a large walk-in closet off of the master bath. It made a wonderful dressing room. We did not use the tub in the master bath or the hot tub on the deck so I can't comment on those. We have stayed at Wolf Ridge a couple of times now so we are slowly learning some of the local restaurants in Mars Hill and Weaverville. We've eaten at El Dorado Latin Grill in Mars Hill a couple of times. We ate at Stoney Knob Cafe in Weaverville on this visit. It was very good. Both of these restaurants have a website if you want to check them out. My husband got to tackle the golf course again. It was still difficult but his score was better than the last time he played it so he was happy. One day we drove over to Cherokee to spend a few hours at Harrah's. Apparently you can go to dinner at Ghost Town In The Sky. So maybe we'll try that on another visit. We had great weather while we were there. The cooler temperatures felt great. The leaves were just starting to turn. As usual, the staff in the office was very helpful. I will definitely visit Wolf Ridge again and I can definitely recommend this cabin.
