All about Marsascala

A popular family resort, Marsascala is a traditional fishing village with a picturesque coastline of rocky coves and a small sandy beach known as St Thomas Bay. Here you'll find an array of water sports on offer, including scuba diving, windsurfing, surfboarding and water skiing, as well as a selection of waterfront eateries and beach bars. The small harbour and port is very pretty, with multi-coloured fishing boats bobbing on the bay, while the promenade around it offers a fine choice of restaurants serving local and international cuisine. In the resort centre, you'll also find a good choice of cafés, bars and nightlife spots, alongside shops and supermarkets.

Things to do on holiday to Marsascala, Malta

This pretty resort has some fantastic places to explore, including the harbour promenade, and is a great place for hiking and cycling. There is plenty on offer here for sports enthusiasts, including an 18-hole golf course at the Royal Malta Golf Club in Marsa. This same club also offers miniature golf, swimming, tennis and squash. The beach at St Thomas Bay is just a 10-minute walk away and is suitable for sunbathing and swimming, while wind surfing is also very popular. Various other watersports can be tried in Malta including sailing, water skiing, paragliding, wake boarding, jet biking and kayaking.
Visitors will find numerous places to dine in the area too, especially around the harbor area where cafés, restaurants and bars are abundant. There are a few shops in the area where self-catering holidaymakers can purchase food and drink, as well as souvenirs. More shops can be found in the capital Valletta, as well as in Sliema.

No parties/disco can be held in the villa and maximum number of persons booked is not to be exceeded unless this is approved by the owner of the villa. In case of breach of this condition the villa will have to be vacated immediately and any payments will be lost.

  superb villa with lots of space. Kept to a very high standard and very comfortable. Nice size bedrooms and kitchen and excellent bathroom facilities.
  View from rooftop very nice at night. Great base for exploring the island. Davis and Jane could not have been more helpfull in arranging airport transfers and island tours.

  Lovely Villa, Very clean and has everything you could want during your stay.
  
  Has plenty of space (We had 5 adults and 3 children) We were meant to have a party of 7 adults and 6 children and there still would have been plenty of space.
  In the rooms with 3 beds we pushed the beds together for the chilldren to sleep with the aduts.
  It has a lovey pool, not much space around the pool for small children to play but perfect if your child likes to be in the pool alot (The pool is not heated and can be cold early in the day!)
  The only downside to our stay in the villa was the worry of the pool and the stairs with small children, ours were 5, 2 1/2 and 21 months. You have to be where the child was all the time. I worried about sitting on the terrece or out on the pool in the evening incase my baby got out of bed and came down the stairs. (Should have taken my baby monitor so I could have relaxed a lot more in the evening.)
  There are a couple of local shops/supermarkets within a 5 min walk and the harbour is about a 15 min walk away. (There is not too much to do at the harbour if you have small children)
  There is a bus that you can get to Velleta bus station and from there you can get a bus pretty much anywhere. They are really cheap. (Buses stop around 9pm from Valetta back to the villa but a cab is 25 euros)
  We got the bus to the Marine park and the water park which you can do both on the same day as they are on the same complex and do a combined ticket which was 25 euros per person
  There is a small sandy beech about 10 minutes walk away.Best to go during the week as it gets busy at the weekend.
  
  The owners, David and Jane were very helpful. Before our stay we had to change our dates last minute which they were very helpful in doing. Also due to some of our party not being able to go because of Chicken pox we had to get them to send some emails and sort out receipts whilst we were there. None of it seemed to be a problem.
  They also arranged our transfers that cost 40 euros for a mini bus. All went very smoothly

  Lovely villa with all mod-cons and maintained to a high standard. Lovely pool. Short walk to local shops and withing 15 mins walk alot of really nice restaurants.
  
  Note: electricity prices are extra which is specified at booking time but running A/C which you need with the lovely Malta weather can make the bill costly, nearly €200 over 2 weeks additional payment for us.
