Situated on an impressive escarpment, the medieval village of Marvão offers all those who visit it a breathtaking view that stretches as far as Serra da Estrela and Spain. According to José Saramago (the 1998 Nobel Prize winner for literature), “From Marvão one can see the entire country”.
Coming into the village through Portas de Ródão, Casa da Silveirinha is straight ahead, on the right-hand side.
