BellaVista del Mar is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy yourself on the west coast of Nicaragua. The home is unique in every way, and we are positive you will enjoy your stay. It is a romantic rustic-style two level home situated directly on the beach front with soft warm sand and the best waves around. The property is completely covered with almond, coconut, mango, lime and banana trees providing the option of a cool relaxing afternoon on the patio or soaking up the sun on the beach or upper deck. The house was built in the late 90's as a private vacation home and was recently turned in to a full time Vacation Rental property by the curre...nt owners from Canada who live here part time. This is a wonderful getaway home so don't hesitate to visit us. Once you spend time in our home you will feel rejuvenated and away from your hectic schedule.

We are approximately one hour away from the International airport in Managua, just south of the twin fishing villages of Masachapa and Pochomil. These villages provide everything an astute traveler needs. There are 2 hardware stores and several Pulpurias (neighborhood store with a bit of everything) and a gas station.

The beach is pretty much empty most of the year except Xmas and Easter so you will have it all to your self. You can walk north past Pochomil to Barcelo Montelimar (all inclusive resort) about 5 miles or south to La Boquita about 15 miles on the beach...uninterrupted. The only people you will likely see are local fisherman catching small fish and lobster in the surf in the morning.

If you are a little more adventurous and want to explore Nicaragua we are about an hour from each of Leon, Managua and Granada (tour the beautiful Isletas on the lake) or shop the markets at Masaya. Tour a rain forest at the top of Mombacho or go for a swim in Laguna de Apoyo, or drive to Rivas (2 hours) and take the ferry across Lake Nigaragua (third largest inland body of water in the world) to the island of Ometepe with twin dormant volcanos, beautiful beaches and many small B&B;/Hotels.

The house has about 1000 ft sq of interior space and with covered decks is about 2200 ft sq. The property is 60 feet wide fronting on the ocean and 280 feet deep.

We also continue to upgrade the property. In the last year we have put new tile in the showers, painted the interior and installed a complete new roof and new exterior lights, installed new air conditioners, a second water tank and a pressurized water system and a new fridge and stainless steel gas stove with 6 burners.

The onsite caretaker will take care of the dishes, cleaning the house, changing the sheets and looking after the yard. If you prefer not to cook, we can arrange for that at a very reasonable price.

Bedroom dimensions are:

Master - 20 x 10 ft

2 upper bedrooms - 13 x 10 ft

Main floor - 10 x 10

All bathrooms are 10 x 5 with fully tiled shower 5 feet wide, toilet and sink and medicine cabinet.

There is a water tank on the property in the event that the municipality supply is shut off which happens for short periods occasionally. The water is drinkable, but you can purchase bottled water in Pochomil if you prefer in the large tanks. We have a dispenser.

Additional Location Information

We are located on the pacific coast of Nicaragua 3 km south of the twin villages of Masachapa and Pochomil about 1 hour west of the international airport in Managua. The area south of Pochomil is know as Millionaires Street (Calle de Milionares). Our house is located near the end of the strip of beach houses perfect for a quite get away.

Electricty will be charged extra and will be calculated at departure. It is typically about $15/day depending on usage of the air conditioners.

Additional fees may apply if there are more than 9 guests.

Please inquire if you require a cook or laundry services.

Reservation Deposit:
1) 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation.
2) Remaining amount must be received 14 days prior to arrival.

Refund Policy:
1) Full refund minus 10% if cancellation notice received more than 14 days before arrival.
2) Full refund minus 30% if cancellation notice received 7 days before arrival.
3) No refund if cancellation notice received 0-6 days before arrival.

  We recently spent two weeks at this beach house. It was very peaceful and relaxing with your own ocean front beach. The beach house is very homey and comfortable. Rental vehicles are available in the closest town if you wish to do some touring around. If you enjoy a quiet place to read a book or want a romantic getaway this is the place for you!

  Two weeks of bliss

  We recently stayed here for two weeks in Jan. 2013 and had the best time. The house is more than comfortable and you are on what seems like unlimited km's of beach (mostly deserted). The property had everything you would want for a beach vacation, hammocks to relax in, air conditioning at night to sleep (or ceiling fans), ample washrooms with 3 to choose from and an outdoor space that is comfortable and just what you need to enjoy your time here. It was fairly easy to get around however you do need a car if you want to go sightseeing. Marcello (the caretaker) was always there no matter what time of day or night if you needed anything and we felt safe in the area.Michael was great to work with planning this holiday. If you want to get away from it all and relax, I would highly recommend this property.

  My three girlfriends and I had been traveling together for a month and wanted to and our trip in a peaceful and relaxing place..and so we found ! We stayed at Micheal's villa for a week and it was absolutely perfect ! Micheal was very helpful throughout the process and Marcelo, his employee, was always there for us making sure we enjoyed our stay ! The perfect place to read a good book in a hamac while wathing the sunset ! The beach is 10 steps away and is kilometers long, perfect for long walks !

  A great Weekend with my friends

  I´m very glad I had the chance to visit the house, specially because I was celebrating my B-day with a group of friends. It was all great! I had a good comunication with the owner since the beginning. The road to get to the house is in well conditions and aprox. 45 min away from managua, which is very cool. The house is well equipped, the rooms are comfortable and big enough.. every single equipment mentionned with the house works very well. I also had previous contact with the housekeeper, who helped us get wood to make a bonfire. The beach was great too, we had a good bath!
