Description
This quaint little island is a secret that most do not know about. Located on the East Falmouth, Mashpee Town line in the area of Waquoit between Waquoit Bay and Hamblin pond. The Home is located on the back of the island on a private drive. Is has its own private beach (not shared) that is very small child friendly. Also includes boat dock for the fisherman in the family. From Dock you can travel bridge-less down Little River, to Waquoit Bay, past Washburn Island and Out the bay to looking straight at Martha's Vinyard! Excellent location for all kinds of boats, Jet Skis, Canoes and Kayaks, Paddle Boada as there are many rivers and waterways you can explore without going into open ocean if you want to stay in calm waters. Great fishing in Nantucket Sound or You can just stay in the Pond and water ski and tube in from of your own dock!
Seconsett Island is extremely child friendly to bike around and walk to Waquoit Bay.
Completely renovated 2 Br 1BA + Outside Shower Cottage. Everything is relatively new including granite counters, custom cabinets, appliances, bathroom, walls, floors and ceilings! Guess are expected to bring their own towels and linens unless otherwise arranged with owner. Additional Dock fees may apply. When inquiring please tell me about your party to expedite. We usually limit to 4-5 adults due to sleeping arrangements and size. There is a private laundry facility approx 100' away.
DISCLOSURE On the same property is a newly constructed unfinished home. The picture with the view out the slider shows the side of new home on left. The picture from the Dock shows the unfinished home also. The view also shows that between the cottage and the beach wall the grass has not been fully restored at this point. There is a small portion of lawn remaining just above the sea wall. The main house now has a beautiful patio out back for use of tenant.

Response from the owner I will admit some last minute repairs made it very difficult to have the place in its usual pristine condition. I addressed concerns prior to leavening property. The seaweed had taken a full day trying to address without complete success. This was an extraordinary year as far as seaweed was concerned. The right storm and wind direction left the beach covered. I worked diligently to remove as much as possible the prior week and more came in. Mother Nature is tough sometimes. My other reviewers speak for themselves. I acknowledge it was not up to my top standards this week but will not let it happen again.

Response from the owner We have never had an ant problem before. And now two years later is still the case. I can only assume the doors were possibly left open and something that was left out must have been very attractive during this stay. The home is very tight and is insulated with closed cell foam which keeps all outside potential inhabitents at bay unless doors are left open. No there is no Live TV but had DVD and Netflix. Most come to enjoy nature and tranquility. I cannot always control internet but have not had other complaints over the years.
