Leaving aside the group of loud americans that took over the site half way through our stay - we had a fab time.
The location is on a ridge in the outskirts of Saint agata with views to Bay of Naples right and Bay of amalfi left. The town is small and characterful, a real town and not overrun with tourist facilities. Local shops are fine and if you take the trouble to speak some Italian they will listen and politely correct! Local eatery 'Mimi' is worth a visit but the real head turner is the Don alfonso 2* Michelin Restaurant, which if you can justify it is well worth it. On the coast Marina del Cantone is a must see with good food. Lots of walks locally and along the coast.
The service from the company was very good, organising us a day trip in a boat along the amalfi coast. Well worth doing, although avoid the 'Emerald Cave'. No comparison to UK caves! Spend the time/money in amalfi or Positano. Pompeii is an hour away by car and Heraklion another 15-20 mins.
The facilities on site are simple and adequate for doing light meals and snacks, although a proper kettle would be nice. The unit is the smallest on site with a single room for kitchen and dining with patio doors onto a covered large patio area, a large bedroom with en-suite shower room and single small window. Using the shower and poor air ciculation can mean condensation but opening windows lets in the midges and horse flies which can be a real nuisance! Strangely the TV is mounted on a wall bracket high in the bedroom, which means tall people need to watch their heads. Watching TV meant sitting upright in bed. We would have prefered watching in the living area! Also unfortunately the Satellite TV facility wasnt working in our room throughout our stay.
We would like to go back but would try another unit. The swimming pool is nice but unheated and the roof patio is lovely for evening drinks to enjoy the glorious sunsets. Very romantic and we will go back - but not when there are block bookings! -

Le Capernelle is a beautiful house and garden with stunning views of the sea and surrounding mountains and village. It is completely quiet and ideal for total relaxation. The village is a five minute walk. Here there are many restaurants, cafes and bars and all of the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming. There is a very laid back and relaxed feeling in St agata. The situation of the house is perfect because it feels very remote but you can reach the beach and nearby towns and villages very easily by bus. It really is a perfect holiday destination and somewhere I will return hopefully many times.
