Keep looking...you won't find a better one...and it might cost a little more to get the best unit. Largest unit on UPPER FLOOR means no noise from above, and high ceilings with extraordinary views of Popahaku Beach..... and those SUNSETS over Oahu. Everything was done...walls removed, kitchen enlarged, granite countertops in kitchen and bath, travertine floors, and new furniture. This is a front row unit with no roofs to look over. Extra large lanai faces south, with large sliding doors into the master bedroom suite and living/dining areas. The master bath has a JACUZZI as well as a shower. Molokai lover
Dunedin, FloridaPerfectly wonderful.
Left on 06/29/2012 for a stay in May 2012
What a wonderful place on a fabulous island. Molokai is definitely not for everyone, but that's what makes it so special. We have no doubt that we will be visiting again, and only hope that this very special place at Kenani Kai will be available. Service from Chad was topnotch, as it was last year when we rented a property through him in West Kauai. Although we didn't see the interior of any other unit while there, it is hard to imagine any could be nicer, or have a better view. We loved everything about our trip, except having to leave this wonderful condo, on this unique and special island.

San FranciscoParadise In Molokai... Ke Nani Kai Unit 212
Left on 05/29/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This is the 3rd time we stayed at Ke Nani Kai Unit 212 primarily because the unit has such an ideal view and location and because it features just the nicest upscale 2-bedroom vacation condo on all of Molokai. The bedrooms are large with big beds and fine linen. Really nice video and sound system. The large kitchen has all the best equipment and layout. There is a huge lanai/balcony fronting on the ocean view. Great for evening dinners and viewing the Milky Way and billions of stars.
Practically no traffic. Totally quiet except for the occasional nighttime barking deer (yes, I did say "deer”). Loads of other wildlife nearby: peacocks, wild turkeys, mongoose, all kinds of beautiful birds, monk seals at the beaches all near this condo. Speaking of beaches, there are 4 beautiful beaches within short walking distance that are pristine and usually totally deserted. What a paradise!!!
Finally, the proprietors could not be any nicer and more accommodating. Great folks. We will be coming back to this condo again and again.

Mahalo for your return visit to our condo. We are blessed with many return guests, and feel that it is the recognition that Molokai is a very special place for people seeking quiet and natural beauty. We are constantly making improvements to our condo, to make it as comfortable as possible for our guests. KNK 212 is known to be the best rental available, and we work hard to insure that it's reputation continues.
We hope to continue to attract guests, who will appreciate this last piece of paradise, and to provide them with a total vacation experience.

Returning to Unit 212 at ke Nani Kai is like coming home. We have visited Molokia many times but once we found this unit, we return to it every year. It has a lovely view, a deck/patio with very comfortable furniture and a table that seats six. The inside of the Unit is tastefully decorated, the beds and furniture are really comfy, and the kitchen is extremely well-equipped. The complex is quiet and well-maintained. There is lots of easy walking and the Ironwood Golf Course, although Executive, is a challenging nine holes and really reasonable. Molokai does not change much and that is another aspect that we really enjoy. We highly recommend Unit 212 and the Ke Nani Kai on Molokai.

Shoreview, MNGorgeous unit and complex, great value
Left on 03/24/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This was an excellent rental. It was a modern, up to date unit with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a huge lanai, and a gorgeous kitchen with a wine chiller (which we took advantage of).
When renting, you deal directly with the owners who were always responsive and made the rental quick and easy.
You could see the beach from the lanai, and could enjoy the wild turkeys walking by once or twice per day.
The condo is located in the Ke Nani Kai complex. This is a wonderful quiet, complex with a great pool and sauna and impeccably clean grounds and landscaping - very, very nice.
On one day, we were the only ones at the pool for an hour or two - so, not crowded either.
The only drawback for me, is that they do not allow grills on the lanai's. So, you need to walk to a shared grilling area - a bit inconvenient.
I certainly would recommend this condo for a couple or small family.

Owner
Mahalo for the very nice review. We spend a lot of time at the condo ourselves updating things constantly to provide guests with the ultimate Molokai experience.
We would love to have a grill on the lanai, but it is not allowed at almost any condo we have ever been to, due to insurance issues, and some neighbors who may complain about the smell of food cooking.
I miss the quiet and peacefulness of the place when I am not there to enjoy it.
There is nothing more pleasing to know that there are guests having a great experience staying there,
We hope to see you again soon.
Warmest aloha

CaliforniaMagnificent Vacation Condo
Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My family (including 2 teenage boys) just returned from a glorious stay at Unit 212 Ke Nani Kai on the West End. The condo exceeded our expectations. The newly remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops included its own wine cooler and a Krup expresso machine. The master suite had a down comforter and down pillows and was luxurious. We own a timeshare at the Westin Kaanapali Resort Villas in Maui and the décor and comfort in this condo/home away from home is nicer than the Villas. We also visited the beaches around the island and the West End beaches are the best ! With the only "hotel/resort" on the west end "closed", you can enjoy your own piece of paradise and not share it with anyone ! You can see 3 Mile Beach from the lanai and it’s a short less than 5 min drive. When we got to the beach, we made the only footprints on the entire beach. Imagine not a soul on the beach. It was amazing ! Since it was summer, the waves were not rough and the teens had the entire beach to themselves as they skimboard along the shore. The other west end beaches near the closed Kepuhi resort were also empty and so peaceful and quiet. If you want to get away from the crowds on the other islands, Molokai is a very special place and Unit 212 at the Ke Nani Kai is the place to stay.

Left on 10/14/2010 for a stay in September 2010
A week in this condo will never be enough! It is located on the west end of Molokai with consistently sunny weather and gentle breezes and in close proximity to beautiful beaches. The property grounds are very attractive and well maintained, and the pool is the best on the island. This unit has every amenity one could hope for - perfectly stocked kitchen surrounded in granite and stainless, a cook's dream. The bedrooms, living room and dining area are done in a sophisticated but comfortable island style.
This is not your "usual" rental condo - it has quality bed linens, towels, decor, kitchen items - the list goes on. And in addition to all of that, it contains lots of handy items - beach towels, coolers, picnic jugs etc. A car is, of course, needed, and there are so many wonderful places to explore - numerous uncrowded beaches, waterfalls, all of the activities the ocean has to offer, the coffee plantation, farmers market. This unit is the perfect place to experience and unforgettable Molokai vacation.

We've stayed in Hale Ula Lani several times and we keep going back. From the minute we walk through the door it feels like home. The condo is well maintained and has everything we need for a relaxing vacation. The large lanai provides a splendid view of the beach and surrounding countryside and is great for cocktails and dinner at sunset. The complex has a great swimming pool and BBQ facilities as well. We can't wait for our next trip!

Aloha Rob and Mitzi....If you visit many more times, you will be family!
Next time I will have to ask you about what improvements you would like to see. I just finished painting, and I added some color (instead of white), added some art, and have added sliding doors to separate the master bedroom from the living areas, if you are sharing with guests. It looks even more amazing with the new colors! I can't wait for your comments on the improvements after your return visit this Spring. Many Mahalos from Chad and I for your continued loyalty and friendship. -

San Francisco, CAParadise At Ke Nani Kai Unit 212
Left on 01/27/2010 for a stay in September 2009
I’d like to share here a glowing report about what was the best condo I have ever rented anywhere. It’s sunny 2-bedroom Unit 212 at Ke Nai Kai which sits at the West End of Molokai where most of that island’s and the world’s finest beaches await. So let me start with the ambiance. Molokai is like a time warp from maybe 50 years ago. Very quiet and unspoiled and truly perfect for families and lovers. The beaches at Ke Nani Kai are never very populated and therefore almost private. Often large turtles, called Honu, and Monk Seals, may join you on the beach for some warm sun rays. Deer, wild turkeys, and all manner of birds share Ke Nani Kai. World class hiking and water sport are nearby, including fishing, kayaking, and snorkeling.
Ke Nani Kai is architecturally perfect for its setting and impeccably maintained. Unit 212 is large with a wonderful ocean/beach view. The owners, Scott and Chad, have created a very sophisticated interior design replete with a first class kitchen featuring granite countertops and high end appliances. The designer cabinets are filled with everything you could need to cook and dine in elegance. The unit includes 2 large dining tables --- one inside and the other on an expansive lanai overlooking the ocean. Because Molokai is so under-developed, ambient nighttime lighting is minimal affording simply breathtaking views of the Milky Way.
The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and feature king beds in each room. The furniture, fabrics and linens throughout are exceptional with a designer’s touch. I cannot wait to revisit Scott’s and Chad’s unit which for me is the perfect first class holiday home to relax, rest, play, rejuvenate and fall in love all over again.
