We stayed in cottage 8a the 3rd week of January and it was fantastic, just as it was when we stayed there in 2008. The ocean waves rock you to sleep and the views are unsurpassed. The view from the pool is the best in the world. We saw a huge whale fully breach and a baby leaped right after the larger one ( perhaps Mommy whale?). I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed 4 nights in cottage 8B in November 2012 and found it to be the most lovely of places. The location is remote, but not lonely as there are plenty of other condos and cottages on the property and despite the abandoned golf course the resort is well maintained with a nice clean pool and basic convenience store. The cottage is beautifully decorated in island style and has everything that you could need to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. The lanai is stunningly positioned overlooking the ocean and it was from here that we watched Humpback Whales playing off shore for more than an hour and the sun setting. Molokai has little in the way of shops and so some forward planning in respect of food purchase is essential; don't do as we did and arrive on the (rather late) Saturday evening ferry from Maui without provisions. Harvey and Connie were very helpful in providing information about the island, the cottage and how to avoid sharing it with the toads and this really helped us to make the most of our stay. The best part for us though was being able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore. We would love to visit again.

We spent 4 days in this quiet little dwelling. It's a nice place and only a few hundred feet from the beach and 2 minutes by car from Hawaii's longest stretch of sand. It is truly a secluded, relaxing, tropical paradise where waves crash and deer roam. We found the kitchen well stocked with devices to prepare food, the few beach extras came in handy, and the place was clean and in good repair. It's a fair commute to any sizeable store (we found one convenient stores on premises) so planning is key. If you want to relax and get away Molokai, this resort, and this unit are perfect. At the same time there is a TV and the internet was fast and reliable enough for casual surfing.

Exactly what we were looking for! We knew it was very quiet, and we picked up our groceries in Kaunakakai when we arrived. The cottage and the condo complex are very well maintained, although the abandoned golf course is reverting to nature (red dirt and scrub). We expected the ants, but nobody warned us about the toads at night, and the flock of wild turkeys that roams the grounds. We definitely plan to go back!

Just returned from our first stay at 8B and I know it wont be our last. We had a wonderful time. Harvey Fox answered all my questions about places to eat and rental cars. The location was just what we were looking for. When we would go the the beach in front of the resort or one of the many beaches with in walking distance we would be the only ones! Sitting on the lanai looking at the ocean and sunset was the best part! So relaxing!

A warm breeze wispered through the cottage for the seven days we were there in late June. There were three sounds:the wind in the palm trees, the ocean waves on the beach, and small birds. What a beautiful space. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Very good value for the dollar. I'm telling friends.

Wow, what a beautiful place to visit! The condo had such beautiful views and the floorplan was wonderful. The renter went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasurable one and it was wondeful! The beaches were beautiful and molokai was such a perfect place for a romantic getaway. The beaches were practically ours!
Thank you so much for a great stay!! -

We stayed at this cottage for a week about three weeks ago. We generally are turned off by most of Hawaii and go to less traveled places. Amazingly, Molokai was about the same as we remembered it from a visit 20 years ago. It is far different from most of the other islands.
The cottage is in a quiet area overlooking the ocean with an abandonded golf course the only thing between it and the water. We saw deer, turkeys, a variety of birds and very few people. The cottage had everything we needed. We spent much of our time just sitting out in the lanai, reading and looking at the beauty.
Harvey Fox gave us very helpful information that made our stay even better. He cheerfully answered all our questions. I can hardly wait to go back! -

We had the great pleasure of renting 8B in March. It is a wonderfully comfortable unit with lovely furnishings inside and on the lanai as well. We ate most meals in because the kitchen was just great. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is a real plus. The view of Kepuhi Bay is spectacular and the whale watching action is terrific! Our stay couldn't have been more perfect! Connie and Harvey went out of their way to answer all our questions both prior and during our stay. We hope to visit again. You can't go wrong with this rental.

We spent a relaxing week in cottage 8a and found it to be a great location and a comfortable well-equipped home away from home. It is on Kepuhi Beach and walking distance to several other beautiful beaches. We saw lots of humpbacks and dolphins cavorting offshore, some awesome sunsets and lots of rainbows. Molokai is a quiet uncrowded island and truly a great place to get away from it all. We can't wait to go back!

The cottage was perfect for us. It is spacious, with high ceilings and has unrestricted views of the ocean from both the bedroom and living area. We could spot the whales from our lanai. The sunsets are spectacular, and most of the time you have the beach for yourself. Although this beach is not safe for swimming in winter, there is one that's safe all year round just a short drive away.
Harvey and Connie were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome.
We can easily see ourselves coming back soon! -

My husband and I stayed in 8a for 6 days in January and loved it. The owners were very helpful and the cottage was perfectly clean, well stocked with everything you might need and the views of the beach and ocean were breathtaking. We saw wonderful sunsets every night, grilled out, explored many different beautiful beaches, did the amazing Mule ride to Kalaupapa, hiked the Halawa valley and fell asleep to the sounds of crashing waves. The pool area was also very nice and had amazing views of the ocean. It was our first time on Molokai and we loved it. We highly recommend it!

As they say, "Only on Molokai."
This is a beautiful little cottage on an island lost in time. 8B has been recently renovated and has all the modern amenities, yet you stay in Hawaii circa 1940. No traffic lights, no rush, no problems.
We have been staying in Molokai since the mid-eighties, and 8B far outshines all other accommodations. The owners are "renter friendly", and make sure everything is operating as it should.
If you like beautiful weather, ocean views, "green flash" sunsets and intimate barbeques, this is your heaven. And you can find this little bit of paradise "Only on Molokai".
Sincerely, Charmaine and Stew Leber

We have rented numerous places on Molokai and 8B is one of the best. The place has a to die for view of the ocean and surronding landscape. We loved to go into town and see how Hawaii was 30 years ago. The wine shop is fantastic.

A very comfortable, very quiet, place to simply relax and call home as you explore Moloka'i. A well appointed kitchen with all that you need. The property and grounds are well cared for. The beach area and vista from the pool is incredibly beautiful. A rare and special place for two people (no more). We've stayed in 8B three times in four years and we'll be back.
