The house is located in the outskirts of MayagĆ¼ez, in the western (and safest) coast of the island. (This map doesn't show the correct exact location). From it you can reach the AƱasco beach in 20 minutes; Rincon's beaches in about 35 minutes; BoquerĆ³n, BuyĆ© and Villa La Mela beaches in 40 minutes; Aguadilla beaches, Las Cascadas Water Park, and Punta Borinquen Golf course in about 35 minutes, all by good and safe roads. MayagĆ¼ez Resort (previously MayagĆ¼ez Hilton), and Holiday Inn both have good restaurants and a Casino and are 4 and 8 minutes away, respectively. Other great restaurants are from 7 to 20 minutes away! Fast food restaurants, movies, jogging tracks and shopping centers are also very close by. The Club Deportivo Golf course is 25 minutes away. This certainly is an ideal location to use as a base to visit the portions of the island those who stay in San Juan never get to see, but if you want to go there it is less than 2Ā½ hours away! You'll feel very comfortable and relaxed with the spaciousness of this wonderful property and its surroundings, as opposed to others where everything is cramped. It enjoys much privacy, safety and quietness as it is located in a cul-de-sac. Your best choiceā¦ undoubtedly!

Stayed at this house with some friends and their child. Four adults and five kids, all under 7 years old. Pool was perfect, house was spacious, in a safe area, and the little things (Netflix access, theater and movies, location close to stores) made it a great trip. You can tell Luciano loves Mayaguez and truly wants you to have an enjoyable stay.
Although the house and some of the applicances are not brand new, this was perfect for us as we would have been paranoid with our kids running around. We did not do much in the area as the pool was very relaxing and the blender worked well. We did go to a few beaches. Highly recommend Playa Sucia. -

We took a group of 10 people to Mayaguez for a church missions trip and stayed very comfortably in this house. We loved the spaciousness of the house (our Puerto Rican friends who visited said it was the largest house they had seen rental-wise), having multiple bathrooms, the huge kitchen, large covered outdoor patio with a gas grill, and the beautiful pool. If the weather would have been a little cooler, we would have used the fire pit also. The location is really hard to beat - major stores are around the corner essentially, but you're off the beaten path just enough to have some peace and quiet. We really enjoyed hanging out on the covered patio out back because of the warm PR breeze and how private it is in the back. We only went to the beach one day because the pool at the house was so relaxing! Luciano was great to deal with also and really wanted to make our stay great. We will be back to this house next time we're in Mayaguez!

We had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home over the 2011/2012 holiday. There were 9 of us altogether. Luciano was such a gracious host, he made us feel right at home in his home. The swimming pool was not quite finished when we got there so we did not have the added luxury of the pool but even still our stay was fabulous. It was very comfortable; we were able to have large family breakfasts before heading out for the day and large family dinners at home in the evenings. This home is within an accepatble proximity to the beaches, the mall, the zoo, about 25-30 minutes to Rincon where my son and brother-in-law went scuba diving. We even drove out to Batey Zipline for a fun adventure. The drive was almost an hour and a half but what a beautiful drive!! We made the trip twice in order to go back and take a tour at Gran Batey Coffee Farm, also well worth the drive. Heck, just the scenery is well worth the drive. The only down side at the house were some water pressure issues, the home is 40yrs old but Luciano has done a great job of remodeling. The home definitely has a lived in feel versus feeling like you are in a museum. I would stay here again, especially now with the added bonus of the pool.

I appreciate your kind words toward my person, and mentioning that we are located at a reasonable proximity to the beaches and other attractions, so others can verify it. Regarding the water pressure issue, it was just that the water heater was new and had a pressure regulator that somebody moved to a wrong position. We do have a 600 galons reserve tank and a pump that delivers 60 lbs of pressure, and everything is working fine now. We are sorry that inconvenienced you, but that problem is out of the way now! I'm also sorry that your stay was during the pool's construction, which may have inconvenienced you somehow and didn't present the house in its best shape.

We are two families with kids who joined together for a vacation. We are very happy for having selected this home. It was all we expected and more. The house's areas are big and airy, and everything was very clean and in good condition. The bedrooms are very comfortable and we were provided with good quality linens, towels, etc. We had Bbq's in the terrace while sharing with our children. The whole family particularly enjoyed the magnificent big screen home theater in the lower level.
The neighborhood is very nice and safe, and it was an excellent location to enjoy both the beaches of RincĆ³n as well as Cabo Rojo. It was also very close to the zoo, and to other attractions for the children. The owner's recommendation of restaurants and places to visit were very helpful. We'll definitely rent it again whenever we vacation in that part of the island.

This home has everything you will need and then some. We like to travel and visit friends, and we just felt like some very good friends had left us their super-sized place all to ourselves. Everything was as described. The owner is really friendly and courteous. The location is excellent, having beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and many other goodies within a short driving distance. Free Wi-Fi, impressive home theater, spacious kitchen, a beautiful backyard, home gym. I couldn't ask for anything else. We will be going back.

The House was as seen on website. The neighourhood was ultra modern and quiet and located in a cul-de-sac,equipped with alarm and we felt safe. Upon arrival you could see the pride and joy in the well kept home and that a lot of time was put into making visitors welcome and comfortable
True to the owners word, all locations were accruately described and close by.
The house was airy, open design concept and spacious. Each bedroom was tastefully decorated and comfortable.The master-bedroom was my favorite with a Jacuzzi and terrace leading from the bedroom,adequate his and hers walking closets. We were provided with towells, soap, shampoo etc and all the conveniences of home.
Large well equipped Kitchen and dining area the only missing item was an oven. We thoroughly enjoyed the back porch and utilized the bar-b-que grill. The gardens were well kept and had a serene feel when relaxing on the porch.
There is a wonderfully well equipped Theatre room with tons of movies to choose from. There was a detailed house manual, which provided guidance on how to use equipments, Wifi,theatre system, fans, you name it. We were provided with maps of major places of interest and how to navigate our way around Mayaguez.
There was no need to call the owner.

It is also our home and we feel very proud of it, for all its facilities and well designed areas. You say that the only missing item was an oven, and I'm sorry to say that it was just that you missed it, as there is a microwave unit in the kitchen and a convection one in the adjacent laundry room (they are mentioned in the house manual, but I'll put a sign on the convection one which I guess is the one you missed). Even with that you gave us 5 stars, so now you know that we really deserve them! I thank you for your nice comments and hope they help others come and enjoy all the comfort and convenience of our wonderful home.

La recepciĆ³n fue simplemente fantĆ”stica: Flores, frutas del paĆs, la mejor piƱa colada del mundo y un caluroso abrazo de bienvenida por parte del seƱor QuiƱones. El estado de la casa, de las habitaciones, los servicios, la cocina, el jardĆn, etc., impecables. Limpieza e higiene absoluta. Equipamiento completo. La relaciĆ³n precio/calidad es Ć³ptima. La casa tiene acceso casi inmediato a la red de autovĆas del paĆs. We are Germans established in Spain. Last year we decided to travel to Puerto Rico. Following a friend's recomendation, we contacted Mr. QuiƱones. The reception was simply fantastic: Flowers, local fruits, and the best "PiƱa colada" in the whole world. The state of the house, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the kitchen, the garden, etc... impeccable. Absolute cleanliness and hygiene. Fully equipped. The price/quality ratio is optimum. The house has almost immediate access to the country's highway network. Mr. QuiƱones gave us interesting recommendations, and thru his indications, we had an unforgetable trip around the whole island, visiting not only places that are not listed in the tourist guides, but fantastic restaurants with all kind of typical offerings. It was an unforgetable stay that we intend to repeat, of course, at Mr. QuiƱones' house.
