In the north of Bali, in the village Mayong, situated in a natural environment, just 10 minutes from the beach, you will find our "Villa Riang". "Riang" means "happy", the feeling you will get from this beautiful island, the lovely people and the delicious food.
In 2012 our luxury and modern villa has been build. During your stay you will be pampered by our staffmembers Ria and Leon. "Villa Riang" is situated on a unique location in the mountains between the houses of the residents from the village Mayong. On the terrace you have a magnificent view over the valley with the coconut and banana trees. From this place you can also hear the relaxing sound of the river. At the end of the day you can enjoy the beautiful sunset.
When you cross the road behind the house you can do a tracking trough the ricefields with our neighbour Putu. He will tell you everything about the life of the local people and about the vegetation in this area.

What an incredible place this is! The house is very comfortable and you stay in a amazing surrounding. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. What we liked very much is that you can join daily balinese life if you want. If you don't want, you can have all the privacy you want.
We have been many times in Bali, but this is the best place we have been.
We liked very much to go to ceremony's, local market and a lot of places you normally not see as a tourist. The service of the staff was excellent. They do everything to make you feel at home. And we loved the food Ria makes! We think this place is unique. You can make a lot of trips in the surrounding. The staff arrange everything for you. We booked again for next year!

Fantastisch verblijf gehad met zes meiden in deze prachtige villa. Aan alles is gedacht. Een week verbleven in de prachtige omgeving die grenst aan deze villa. Tussen de rijstvelden, riviertjes en lokale bevolking in. Dat laatste is vooral heel bijzonder. Hier leer je echt het land en de cultuur kennen, vooral ook door de wandelingen die Putu artana (een van de personeelsleden) regelt. Aanrader! Hij weet veel en vertelt graag, is trots op zijn omgeving. Zeer boeiend! Hij heeft ons ook gedurende het verblijf andere uitstapjes geadviseerd en ons daar naartoe genomen. Ondertussen had hij al eten en drinken (ook voor onderweg) voor ons verzorgd, echt aan alles wordt gedacht!
Thuis in de villa konden we daarna altijd weer heerlijk genieten van de stilte, natuur en het zwembad. Ondertussen bood Ria (ook een van de personeelsleden) ons heerlijk zelfgemaakte (fruit)shakes aan en werd er heerlijk voor ons gekookt. Ook een keer op de scooter meegeweest om boodschappen te doen. Een absolute aanrader! Namelijk ook op de lokale markt geweest en die moet je natuurlijk gezien hebben op Bali.
Dat de villa er mooi uitziet, zeer compleet is en schoon is, spreekt voor zich, maar Ria en Putu maken er echt iets speciaals van. Ze zijn ook zeer gemakkelijk in de omgang en denken graag mee met je wensen en ideeën. We mochten zelfs een keer mee naar een vijfjaarlijkse (!) dorpsceremonie, zeer bijzonder. We voelden ons al met al zeer welkom (en verwend). Een zorgeloze vakantie.
Ik kan een verblijf in deze villa echt een ieder aanbevelen, het heeft onze verwachtingen bijzonder overtroffen! Miranda Boender heeft zeer knap een geweldige combinatie gevonden van toegewijde, gastvrije mensen en een compleet uitgeruste, prachtige villa in een dito omgeving.
Overigens prachtig weer gehad elke dag, ondanks het begin van het regenseizoen (niets van gemerkt).
Veel plezier, het is de moeite dubbel en dwars waard.

We had a great holiday at Villa Riang. The staf is very nice and helpfull.
The house is big and very clean. The view is magical. In Mayong you wil meet
the real balinese people and not so many other tourists. But if you want, you can go to
Lovina, a town nearby with nice restaurants and bars.
If we will get the chance we will come back soon!
