This completely remodeled 3-bedroom two bath home is centrally located to everything in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. The master bedroom and one of the two guest rooms are furnished with queen size beds, the remaining bedroom has two bunk beds (sleep four). The master bedroom has its own bathroom. All bedrooms and the living room have remotely controlled mini-split air conditioners and ceiling fans for added comfort on warm or humid days. This fully furnished home includes wireless internet and cable television. The kitchen features a gas stove and range hood, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave, and all the dishware and cookware you need. The... pressurized water system assures a strong, continuous flow of water throughout the house. All electrical outlets are grounded 120V for compatibility with your laptops, iPad/iPhone chargers, and other electronics. The living room has a color television, DVD player, and CD Stereo system. There is a washer and dryer in the service patio for your convenience. In the rear patio you'll enjoy a built-in barbecue and a completely enclosed and private space. There is a carport with a locking gate for added security.

The famous Mazatlan malecon (boardwalk) is 1/4 mile away and easily walking distance from the home. There are several neighborhood mini-markets open throughout the day, one less than a block away from the house. There is also an Oxxo, comparable to a 7-Eleven or Circle K for those of you in the US, two blocks from the house that is open 24 hours a day. Around the corner from the house is a famous seafood restaurant, El Guamuchilito, sought after for it's excellent shrimp dishes served in a family-friendly environment. Midway between the house and the malecon is another well-known restaurant, Carnitas El Bigotes, where pork reigns supreme. Tacos, barbecued chicken, pizza, fruit stands, tortillerias (for freshly made corn tortillas) and bakeries are within walking distance of your home in Mazatlan.

Getting to public transportation takes less than a minute on foot where you can jump on a city bus to downtown Mazatlan or, in the other direction, toward the Golden Zone and beaches. If you'd rather take a taxi, the Eco Taxi dispatch happens to be conveniently located at the end of the block from the house. You can either call to be picked up or walk to the corner and let the dispatcher know you'd like a taxi (chances are there will be one there already). WalMart, Home Depot, and the Gran Plaza, the largest commercial center in Mazatlan (think mall on a small scale) are all within a 5 to 10 minute bus or taxi ride (you can walk to the Gran Plaza in about 15 minutes).

The neighborhood itself is a well established middle-class, middle-income group of single and two-story residences consisting of families who have lived there several years and, in some cases, two to three generations. We are acquainted with both next-door neighbors who are professionals and business owners. The neighborhood is called Estadio (stadium) and you need only look down the block to see why. The Teodoro Mariscal baseball stadium, home of the Venados (Deer) professional baseball team, hosts teams from throughout the Mexican Pacific League from October to January, and sits on the southern edge of the neighborhood. On game nights you can often hear the cheer of the crowds from time to time but neither the crowd nor the traffic, which generally does not park on our street, have ever created problems for us (of course, we are big fans, which helps).

Our home, which we are offering to you, provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy living in a real Mazatlan neighborhood in a safe environment with excellent access to all parts of the city. The neighborhood is an established middle-class residential area of Mazatlan centrally located to all there is to do and see in this beautiful city. The famous "malecon" boardwalk is about 1/4 mile away and provides access to several miles of seaside walking, running, cycling, and sightseeing along the beach. A 15 minute walk from your home gets you to the "Zona Dorada" or Golden Zone, which is the tourist-oriented area of north Mazatlan replete with shopping, great restaurants, excellent swimming beaches, resort hotels, and nightclubs. There you can parasail, jetski, enjoy a frosty beverage of your choice, take a horseback ride, and otherwise enjoy the great weather, particularly in the fall and winter months. Within 5 minutes of your home are several seafood, carnitas (braised or roasted pulled pork, one of the local specialties) or carne asada restaurants and taquerias (taco shops). There is a 24-hour Oxxo (the equivalent of a 7-Eleven or Circle K convenienece store) just around the block where you can get late night muchies, milk, and other items you may have forgotten on your trip to the mercado (market). There are also two neighborhood convenience stores open during the day which, in addition to the items Oxxo might have, also sell baked goods, some prepared foods, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Major grocery shopping is about 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from your home at the Mega supermarket and department store (we'll get directions for you). Four blocks away,down Insurgentes Avenue, is a bakery known as Pan-Pin, which produces fresh baked sweet breads daily. Show up there at about 11:00 or so in the morning and you can select your "pan dulce" hot of the oven racks (quite yummy). There are at least 3 pharmacies within 5 minutes walking distance from your home should you need anything from adhesive bandages to prescribed medication. Buses to downtown and several other parts of the city run from early morning to late evening and can be boarded near the Oxxo, about two blocks from your home. If you prefer or need a taxi, the Eco-Taxi dispatch office happens to be located about 3 houses down from your home. Just walk up to the dispatch window and ask for a taxi (you will also likely run into a taxi in front of these offices and can hire one there). The great thing about your home on Cipres is you can get to everything easily as it is located close to both the touristy north end of town and the historic and architecturally appealing Centro part of downtown.
