The best of both worlds here. I came up here to just get away from the big city life for awhile. The views are beautiful and peaceful, wildlife is abundant. Beautiful home very comfortable living arrangements and a great kitchen. The boardwalk to the Lake is a Beautiful short walk and the Lake is breath taking you can hear the Loons on the Lake all the time. Nice dock for sitting or fishing. Lots of fun places to go for dinner, dancing or just some site seeing. The house is fully stocked with all the things a person would need for a comfortable stay.We will return Thank-You Jeff

The perfect getaway location for a family or group of friends to escape the pressures of everyday life and relax in the woods. Lovely house with beautiful lawn, surrounded by 9 acres of woods, with full of ammenities and comfort for a large group. Seperate "bunk house" for the kids to have an area to play or use as a man cave with satellite dish for the big kids to escape. Enjoy fun in the sun and water during the day or sit by the fire and star gaze at night. Lodge, bars and restaurants close by or for the wannabe gourmets test out the fabulous kitchen.

We received the recommendation for the Gearhart Vacation Rental in McGregor, MN from our friends who stayed there before. Privacy and entertainment - your choice. Poolside is near by, Black Bear Casino and city of Duluth with tons of interesting shops and boutiques on Superior Street. We were very impressed by the decor of the mansion and the area where it was located. It is very private, surrounded by beautiful woods, private access to the lake - all of that feels very relaxing after busy city life. Great Deck for hanging out. Feel like you are at your own cabin in the woods. At the same time, it feels like a luxury. Ceilings are very tall; we ate dinner in the beautiful formal dining room; the bedrooms were nice and comfortable; large screen TV on the second floor and jacuzzi. Over all it was a wonderful experience and we want to thank Jeff, the owner. He was very kind and took care of all our needs. Thanks, Jeff! Your home is comfortable and lovely as we remembered it from our last vacation. Thank you also for the many little wonderful details. We will stay again.

I have stayed at this home twice, once in late summer and once in the winter. Both times I had an amazing experience, it was very relaxing and romantic. There is nothing like being surrounded by nature and wildlife in your own private hideaway. The home is very comfortable and lovely. We walked to the lake almost every day and the nearby resort offers numerous amenities plus a decent restaraunt.Highly recomended!
