Cable in the bedrooms and another DVD player would be a great addition.
Could've been better...

Understanding that the house is "pet friendly" there was an excess of animal hair EVERYWHERE! The floors and bedding clearly hadn't been properly swept or washed, and the furniture was also littered with it. The bulb was out on the patio, making being outside at night in the hottub an "at your own risk" mission.

location is great, place is beautiful, but has a mold issue in the walls from an audible leak and needs more blankets for cold nights

Overall the house was nice. There was quite a bit of dust around. we had difficulty warming up the basement. The vents were closed-we opened them. Basement fireplace was not working but rental agency took care of it. Hot tub only 1/2 the jets were working. Nice house, good location.

When we first arrived at the cabin, it had a very strong smell of cleaning products. We soon found out it was because they must have cleaned the carpets that morning because they were still SOAKING wet. I would also encourage other guests to bring linens because the linens they provided were a joke! They were scratchy sheets and had thin, and worn out "blankets" on the beds. We also thought in the evening a fire would be nice but the fire places also fill the home with the smell of gas even with the fans on. Overall, this house would be okay to stay at for a weekend but I wouldn't want to stay there any longer than that.
so very close

Beautiful property; great location. Our family vacation was marred with small issues - the slopes closed the very day we arrived (we knew our hope for spring break snowboarding was a risk). The hot tub wasn't working since before our arrival and despite well meaning promises by the property management company, the hard to find part didn't arrive during our week on site... The property is for sale. I think this led to some normal accessories being lacking - such as no garbage cans in bathrooms, no towels or hot pads in kitchen, no hangars in the closets... We would return to this property, but would clearly plan a bit differently knowing what we know now... The location is terrific for any time of year. Walking distance to slopes (even fun in spring with snow tubing and the mountain coaster) and right ON the water for summertime fun. All in all the 3 teenage boys made the most of the location and we adults traveled well thru the area surrounding deep creek, enjoying antiquing, winerying, geo caching, and shopping in the nearby towns. Deep Creek Cellars produced excellent wine some of which we brought back to share with friends. Casselman Hotel (or something similar in downtown Grantsville) has great home cooked food and an amazing selection of homemade pies. And Archie's barbeque in Mchenry - yummmmmm. Read more

You will love it, there were 10 of us, and all 10 enjoyed it. The only downside was that it said "it slept 11 people", but in reality it slept 8 people. The queen sofa bed was in a very bad shape.

House was nice, some furnitures quality (attic room/beds) were not as excepted and all the way dirty, and full of spider nets. I am still with so much allergy from there.
On our arrival we noted: the top of one of the drawers of the refrigerator was broken, one of the twin beds in the attic was broken (one of the support woods). We were a total of nine and everybody felt the same about dust in every corner, top of tv, under sofa, beds and tables.

This was our first time to Deep Creek Lake. We did not know what to expect, however, we were very pleased with our choice of the Lakeside Lodge. The house was very nice, spacious, yet cozy. Although the weather was not the best for us, we still enjoyed the lake front. Taylor-Made vacations were extremely helpful whenever we needed assistance with anything. We are very anxious to return to Deep Creek Lake.

Very nice house and it shows like it's almost brand new. Plenty of room for two small families. I slept like a baby for the whole week. However, the lake view would be much nicer if the large old tree blocking part of the lake view from the family room were pruned back. The tree is probably dying anyway.
Nice place but couple...

Nice place but couple of comments. Not all bathrooms had waste baskets (2 of the 4). No bedside stands with lamps for easy reading. Large home with only 1 external waste container. Day of arrival bin overflowing with extra bags around. We ended up leaving the same situation for people following us. Home needs second external waste container. Nice home and enjoyable stay.
Mostly pleasant vacation. Best location we have had on the lake.

We had a great long weekend. Taylor-Made personel were fantastic and helpful. Great location on the lake. The best we have had in the last 7 years we have been renting at Deep Creek. The house could use some improvements. The basement sofa and bedposts were damaged. Kitchen was severely lacking in amenities. Not enough dishes and pots and pans for 11 people. No blender, not enough serving dishes, utensiles. No house phone. e may use this house again though. Thanks.
