The house was very accommodating and the view out the back was beautiful. It was well decorated and the furniture comfortable. Plenty of room for the 7 of us.
However, the unit is right next to a motel and the clientele there were pretty noisy. The front view is not as pretty as the back.
A few of the pots and pans need updating. -

From the moment we walked in the door we felt at home. We all said how this was the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation yet. The loft area was gorgeous and what a beautiful view. We had a group of 6 and our two labs and there was plenty of room to be together or time to yourself. The deck has a gate so we could let the dogs roam without being chained. It was unseasonable cool on a few nights and wished we could have used the fireplace and the couch in the living room was difficult to get out of but other than that everything was perfect. Looking forward to staying again next year.

Not sure if it was the time of year but we really enjoyed ourselves. Thwe weather was cool; the house was quite nice; and there were no crowds. Renting a speed boat only added to our fun. Great time was had by all including the dogs. We love Deep Creek Lake!!!

First of all it was located in a perfect place for us. We have children and they loved to get in the water any time they liked...and since the area is less traveled it was ideal. The house was pristinely clean. We loved staying there. The only thing that could have been fixed was the sun beating in the large windows in the afternoon...the top windows need some blinds that could be drawn then.

Ten members of the McCarty family stayed the week of June 16th at almost Paradise. Wasn't sure about the location, since it wasn't as "woodsy" as last year's house, but I turned out to love the location. With 4 small grandkids, it was great to run across the road for milk, diapers, popsicles, etc. The deck was perfect for the youngest, since it was enclosed. We enjoyed fishing and swimming from the dock and were so close to wisp and other activities. We have rebooked for next year. To make it even better, a firepit and stronger Wifi would be welcomed.

Over the years we have rented different homes from different real estate companies and this is one of the best. It was in a nice location, convenient to stores and entertainment and had many nice amenities. The home is set up well and has very nice outdoor seating. The yard is level and very close to the lake. The only drawback to this home is the lodge next door because you get people renting at the lodge that think they can use your dock. But other than that, it was a very nice stay and I would rent again! Thank you!

The first night the smoke alarms started going off ~ when one goes off three go off because they are wired together. An engineer came in late that evening (midnight) and changed all the smoke detectors the next day. Later the second day, we placed another call because the furnance quit working and it was freezing in the basement (where a family was staying w/ a 4 month baby). After that everything was fine - just a rough two days out of 4.

The house was lovely and provides access to the lake. We like cooking and the kitchen was well equipped. it was clean. The bedroom and basement setup would easily accommodate two families with small children.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice the house was. We could have left half of the stuff we brought with us at home b/c the house was stocked with plenty of paper products, dishes, cookware, towels...The location of the house is awesome-right on the lake, within a 5-10 minute drive to Wisp, and 5 minutes or less to some very good restaurants. My only complaint would be the quality of the beds. The matresses are very soft and sag in the middle.

We booked our vacation online; minimal contact with Long & Foster but what contact we had was extremely courteous and accomodating. The home we rented ( Almost Paradise) named appropriately; breath taking views of the lake and Wisp, location a bit busy, located on a busy road in McHenry but we liked because more centally located to restaurants and stores. The house (5 bedrooms and 3 baths) had everything we needed. My husband and I traveled with 2 other couples and we all were very comfortable and felt like we were not on top of each other. There was a nice lawn leading to the dock, a hot tub to relax in and our favorite spot in the house was the deck! The least favorite things were the view of the lake was a bit obstructed from the deck because of 4 huge pine trees and the home is located on a very busy road. The only other note to make is the housekeeping. It appears dusting had not been part of the housekeeping chores for some time. There were huge cobwebs on lighting fixtures, lamps, the sliding glass doorways and all displayed mementos had a layering of dust.
We have been going to DC for many years and hope to plan next years get-away . Will again rent from Long & Foster and would love to be able to stay in almost Paradise next year. -

My family and I enjoy staying at this house. It has everything we need and then some. The fact we can bring our dogs and they have the space to play is great. It is also nice to be close to things.

This is my group's fifth year at Deep Creek. We stayed at Almost Paradise for our third time. There are 12 of us and each year we decide which rental will fit our needs best depending on how many are able to go. We've always been happy with our homes, service, and amenities. This year was especially nice because Almost Paradise was really well stocked with paper products and such.
I was hoping to be offered the special we were offered last year - repeat renters got a free night - but we were not. The rental office was very nice not to push us out - 10 plus women packing up with daylight savings kicking in can be a problem.

The home was very inviting and comfortable. More ammenities than home. Supplies in the house were extremely accommodating. We loved the decks with the hot tub and porch swing. The master bath was exquisite. None of our family wanted the weekend to end.

The service was very good, no problems at all. Very professional and helpful staff.
The house was excellent, extremly clean and well equiped. Great for a multi family vacation. Great for families with kids. Our teenagers loved having their own space downstairs. Loved the pool table and hot tube.
The location was the only problem. In my opinion it was the worst location on the lake. Rather depressing when compared to the beauty of the rest of the lake. Terrible view and a very busy section of town.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Almost Paradise. We were impressed with the privacy of the house. We have been coming to Deep Creek for many years and we have to say we were impressed with how stocked the house was.
We do think the beds should be looked at. The queen bed on the lower level is starting to sink in the middle and was a little uncomfortable. -

Our stay at Almost Paradise was awesome! The house is beautiful and was very well equiped, although we brought all we needed it was nice to see a place so well stocked. It truely makes you feel at home. And the little extras like the telescope and the hot tub are added bonuses! There was plenty of room in the home for our large group and penty for everyone to do. The location was so convenient almost anything you need is in walking distance! The only thing that we decided we would change if we could would be to cut down some of the trees between the house and the lake. When sitting on the upper deck you cant see the lake or the dock and with us having some smaller children with us we would have liked to been able to see them playing down by the dock. But that is the ONLY thing we found that we would change! The owners were so nice and everyone was very helpful. Beautiful place!
