We just spent the weekend up at the lake and the house is very nice. The inside is well kept and clean. The location is close to restaurants boat rentals and bars. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the grounds were not kept up. The property is in a wooded area and I understand that but a lot of fallen trees and branches were in the yard as well as in the water blocking the boat dock. Also, the listing says the property had a fire pit and a charcoal grill. The only fire pit we found were a couple rocks circled together at the waters edge. Overall, the property is very nice but just needs to be cleaned up around the outside and waters edge. Inside the house was clean and very nice.

House was great for my family, my parents, and 2 of my brothers and their families (13 in all) over Thanksgiving weekend. I would highly recommend the house. Great room upstairs is very comfortable and well-furnished. The soaring ceiling, wood floors and dry-stacked stone fireplace are beautiful. We had a fire in that fireplace every day. Dining room table is nice and big (seats 10) and there are 4 bar stools right next to it to fit the rest of a large group. View without the leaves is great from all of the rooms that face the lake. Mbr is very nice - MBR closet is so big that we put a pack and play in there and my 2 year old thought it was great that he had his own room (and we still had more than enough room to still use it as a closet). We brought a lot of things for making Thanksgiving dinner that we did not need to because the kitchen is very well-stocked. Location is nice - very private, but close to the grocery store, some restaurants and to Wisp. Screened porch would be fantastic in the late spring, summer or early fall (we used it as a drink refrigerator, which was also handy). We had several inches of snow while we were there and the kids used the house-provided sled to sled down the hill in the front yard - they had a blast! Hottub was nice. Areas that could be improved - Beds in the 2-double bed bedroom appeared to me to be worn, but no complaints from the people who slept in them. Regarding the red room with 2 twins - it's very, very red. We only received 10 sets of towels/washclothes for 13 people (I assume we would have received more if we called to complain, but we just shared with our kids). Tree fallen over on beach from October storm needs to be removed. Although the house provides wood, most is too rotten to burn well and the rest was too new to burn well (my brother had brought wood and that is what we used). All in all, however, we very much enjoyed staying at the house and would highly recommend it.

This home has everything needed for a great stay. Completely turn-key. The property is very well furnished and clean. My friends and I had a great long weekend stay and will return next year.

This is a great house in a great location. Amenities were perfect. The house is very nicely decorated with plenty of room for family and friends. We have stayed at many different rentals in Deep Creek and this is the first house that we want to rent again next year!

Received very courteous and enthusiastic help from the staff during selection, check-in and when dealing with problems.
Really enjoyed the open floor plan to play with the grandchildren, large table to all eat together, choice of using the dock or shore for lake access to swim or boat.
Location is great since it is convenient to shopping but still in a wooded quiet area.
We liked the location with the lake and woods the best, but it is quite a hill to reach the water. Our least favorite was that the hot tub was broken(hit by lightening)and we couldn't use it, although it was promptly repaired. -

It was very easy to find this house from the main drag and check in is fast and easy. The house was extremely clean and beautiful. Everyone exclaimed when they first walked in what a nice house it was. And when they left, they talked about how it met all our needs. I have a few things to mention that aren't very harsh criticisms but things I wish someone had let me know before I showed up.
1. Although we specifically asked if the grill worked, it only got to 250 degrees. So we could not sufficiently cook on the grill although we brought food for that and planned that. That may not be the rental company's fault, if no one ever told them. But just be warned! We had to throw a whole bunch of wings in the trash.
2. Please know that there are a killer set of steps from the house to the lake edge. It is very steep and long. Although most of our family dealt with it fine and treated it as a good workout, just know that if you plan to travel here with a family member that is not in good physical condition, this can be a downside. I just wish I had known ahead of time as my uncle looked as though he may have a heart attack a few times when he got to the top and he was the one that wanted to fish so badly and be by the lake.
3. The bed that my husband and I shared had a very hard mattress. I don't hold too much against the owners for this, how much money do you spend on a bed that you're renting? I would probably do the same.
4. Just FYI because my family had asked me ahead of time and there was no floor plan to look at, there is one bedroom on the main floor that is public and 2 on the bottom floor that are public. Only the master suite had its own bathroom.
All in all, it was a wonderful house and everyone was very happy. I believe we would stay there again...unless my uncle said no way i'm going up and down those stairs again! Thanks Long and Foster! -

Everything about our vacation at Deep Creek was perfect. The house was very nice and comfortable. Met the owners on the first day, wonderful people. Cool mornings with coffee on deck looking out on the lake - perfect. We have 3 teenaged boys, and the activites were endless - jet skiing, zip lining, whitewater rafting, whitewater body boarding (Dad still recovering 2 weeks later from his 2 minutes of whitewater body boarding - kids made it 2 hours), fly fishing, nice dinners out, fishing out back (small mouth bass were biting). Outstanding family fun vacation spot.
