We had a very good vacation from this house. It was great for being outdoors, swimming from the jetty and warming up in the hot tub afterwards. We didn't use the sauna,but the pool table and huge TV downstairs were great hits with the kids.With wisp resort just behind the house, I think it'd be a better rental in the ski season than in the summer, though. The kitchen wasn't equipped particularly well. No wine glasses at all!Wobbly turntable to access one of the base cupboards and there was a faulty sink plug in at least one of the bathroom basins. Fly screen held together with duct tape not very attractive on the door out to the deck and the outdoor cushions looked dowdy.The crate of laundry for the next guests had to be left by the entrance rather than concealed saomewhere. To be fair, we didn't report these things at the time and the house was comfortable enough for a short stay.

We loved the house,but Tuesday it rained and that night it froze. We weren't able to ski the next day because we could not get out of the driveway. We called L&F; and they plowed, but that didn't help. We needed some sand or salt and shovels. We called friends who were staying at wisp and they brought us shovels and sand and we were finally able to get out, but by that time, it was too late to ski. We really loved the house, but we would like to request that the homeowners please leave a supply of sand/salt and shovels.

This is the second time we've stayed at "All about Me;" we came back because we had such good memories of the home and of how easy it was to reserve the space and check in and out. This time we got caught in an early snow storm, and the house was a clean, charming - and warm! - place to watch the snow fall over the lake. It was exactly the relaxing time out I needed.

This is a very comfortable home, with beautiful furnishings and many amenities. The location was good and convenient to our interests. We appreciated being able to take our child (pet) with us, who also had a great time by the way. Enjoyed our vacation by the lake. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to stay in their home.

House and amenities very average although the lower level was cold and mildewey smelling. The house was far away from the lake and up a steep grade - the next door neighbor who was equally as high up and as far away used a four wheeler to go up and down from the house to lake!

The house was very nice, very clean. Right on water/beautiful view from dock. Loved the area - plenty to do but not crazy with tourists/traffic. Would recommend area/house to others. Should fix sliding screen door and deck.

All about Me was a comfortable house for our group - family of 4 w/college age sons and 4 of their friends (all over 18, so essentially 8 adults). Everything was clean and in working order. The basement is fairly separate from the upstairs, so when the "kids" were playing video games on the big screen TV, we could barely hear it upstairs. The backyard walk down to the lake is a fairly steep hill, but the kids still spent a good bit of time down there swimming and fishing. We also used the dock for our rental boat. There were only 6 dining chairs inside, but plenty of seating at the table on the deck. The gas grill appeared to be brand new. We made use of the hot tub, sauna, pool table, and basketball net as well. The bball net actually came loose from the garage while we were there, but was quickly repaired once we reported it. I was a bit disappointed you couldn't see more of the lake from the house/deck due to the trees on the property, which is probably only true in the summer. The location is great, down the road from Wisp and near plenty of restaurants and a grocery store, and just a quick ride into Oakland.

Only negative would be the walk up from the dock - gives you a good cardio work out though :-) house was clean, nicely updated, deck was awesome - private, shaded and great to watch the morning sun glisten off the lake. outdoor swings, hot tub, great patio - great to bathe the dogs with the hose right on the patio then hose the suds away. dock was great for the rented boat but also sun bathing and swimming! rental is close to everything fun to do: shopping-gifts and food; Wisp Resort; man-made white water rafting. about 1/2 hour to Swallow Falls State Park...take your camera for beautiful scenery! Just a great place, great location and comfortable vacation rental! Rental agency was sooo nice and owner answered questions right away when emailed.

Our family had a very stress free Thanksgiving with no cleaning and very little cooking. The house was comfortable and cozy with fireplace, hot tub, sauna, and pool table. There was fun to have inside and outside. The shopping was nearby and not far was Swallow Falls (very beautiful), nice restaurants, local brewery, and movie theater.

We stayed from Nov. 25th thru Nov. 30th..beautiful decorated.and nice location to the Wisp and Lake.However, hot tub only worked well 1 day,on service to the hottub free, the other service charge..35.00..said it was our fault due to beer can in filter..LIE LIE..totally impossible for can to get stuck in filter.We the college educated people staying there reenacted beer can in the hottub...could NOT FIT IN FILTER..lip on the filter stopped the beer can .totally IMPOSSIBLE FOR A CAN TO GO STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN...Lie lie.I SHOULD BE GETTING A DISCOUNT DUE TO THE HOTTUB NOT WORKING RIGHT.Infact, I asked the property manager to come over and see for herself.Also, in the house Guestbook, there was no snow shovel to shovel the driveway,firewood we had to buy, and towels only got one set, was told to wash them and that a second set not provided..Why..when we stayed for 6 days.

Our rental experience couldn't have been easier or more fun. The owner and Long and Foster were easy to work with and flexible about our wanting to check in early. Check in and out was a breeze. The home was modern and perfectly clean while still feeling rustic and cozy. (Also, beautifully decorated, and we loved the stone fireplace.) We visited over a rainy October weekend and still enjoyed the home and view through the autumn leaves to the lake. Nice to "be away from it all" and still so close to the WISP resort, restaurants and wonderful parks. In a perfect world the neighboring houses wouldn't be so close, but the landscaping was mostly sufficient to keep our getaway private. We really needed a break and this was one of the best vacations we've had. Thank you!

The Long and Foster staff was great. We like the location with the exception of the close proximity of the neighbors. I like a more secluded location; however the neighbors were friendly. The house was listed for 10 people but I thought it was small for the 10 of us. An example would be the dining table which only sat 6. The bathrooms were another issue only one could be used at a time because of the water pressure. The walk to the lake was pretty treacherous as well especially if you were a little older or have a slight disability. You may want to state something about this in the ad. The house was clean and decorated nicely but as I stated small. I must have read the description on the site incorrectly because I expected a full bath in the master bedroom not the tiny one we found. The appliances have some issues as well (the refrigerator needs replacing or repair our food continually got wet from water build up). The sheets and mattress pad in the master bedroom was horrible it was torn and too large for the bed. I know this seems like a negative review but it is not intended that way I just want to make you aware of some issues so perhaps the property can be advertised more accurately. Our stay was not all negative. All in all we had a nice time and yes enjoyed our stay. The hot tub, deck, dock, view and the lake were wonderful. I am not sure if I would consider this house for next year. There were things I liked about the house and location but I am a little leery due to the things I did not like as well.
