Splendidly located along a cove at one end of the lake, across a sloping stretch of land with abundant trees (great for fall foliage!), within walking distance of a boat house, and more. House itself is wonderful in every way: spacious, clean, well configured, wonderfully appointed, easily appropriate for four couples. We loved it!

We were a little disappointed about the few televison stations- couldn't see the Master's and had CNN withdrawal pains!The view from the house was absolutely gorgeous and the bedrooms were pleasant and comfortable.

This house is ideal for two families, as it has two master suites. Right in the heart of McHenry, easy access to town and roads, and with the "simple turn of a page", entering the house the full view of the lake and sunset, made this a real pleasure to which we hope to return.

We loved the house. It was convenient, comfortable, and well maintained. Cooling was a problem. The downstairs was terribly cold and the great room got hot if the sun was out. We would have appreciated dual thermostats and perhaps drapes on the lower windows in the great room. In June it still wasn't really hot during the day and we still had this problem. On a hot week I think the great room would be too hot to even use the kitchen or dining area.

House was awesome and location perfect. The only thing that was a problem, was the basement freezing!! At one point my friend were sleeping upstairs cause it was so cold!!

Sunny Boy was less satisfactory on this, our third January visit. THe
downstairs bedrooms were cold, and it was impossible to warm them without
making the ground floor and upper level too warm.
The remote control for the TV in the great room was missing. we found it
later in our stay, stuck down between the sofa cushions.
There were several problems with the wireless connection. We called the
rental office for assistance without results, but managed to ree-initiate the
router service, only to have it drop off and have to do it again on the following
day.
My overall sense is that some more attention could be paid to maintenance.
We had heating issues on one of our prior visits as well. One of the grids in
the fireplace was bent and so low that it was difficult to burn a fire with it.
The Great Room continues to be the house's best feature. -

The overall experience was great. The service received by Long and Foster was excellent. The best part was the concierge service provided which helped to make my wife's birthday memorable. The least liked part was on Saturday morning when the subject who mows the lawn arrived unanounced and began mowing the lawn. The residence was exceptional and had every amenitie we could ask for.
