The entire experinece from the online renting/paying to the ease of check-in and check-out was great. The house is as nice in person as shown via the online pictures. Each winter our family (now 4 seperate families) takes a long weekend for sking. We need a large house with lots of space. This was our first time at Wisp. On the slopes, the conditions were marginal due to the weather but the ease of access to the slopes was a pleasent suprise. Parking/Ticketing/Lifts were just down the road from the house atop the mountain. There was no need to drive the expected mile+ to Wisp base lodge to gain access. The house's location/layout/room size/cleanliness were fantistic. We will rent again on our return to Wisp. To top of a great ski weekend, we all got to watch the Ravens beat the Patriots on there way to Super Bowl champs!!! Difinitly a family vacation to talk about for a long time.

When we first began looking at the house we liked all the features, but I am being completely honest when I say I was blown away by the size and overall positive feel of the place. Everyone in the group slept well and the social environments of the living room and dining room area made the experience very nice for everyone. Def one of my favorite ski weekend experiences of my life and I hope to come back their soon.

The house was very beautiful, very clean, the decor was very nice, the amenities and location were great and the views were incredible. What I loved most about the house was the beautiful Master bath with the Jacuzzi tub. What I liked least about our visit was I did not like having to drive our trash to the dumpster; the master bedroom on the first floor was the only bedroom that did not have black-out curtains, so my hubby and I were not able to sleep in due to the brightness in the bedroom and the Master bedroom was the only room that did not have a DVD player, which was very disappointing.

This was a great house for four families with four small kids. While the fourth bedroom was on the very small side (and the trundle bed dirty - but Long and Foster folks made note of that so hopefully will get sorted out) we made it work and had a great time! The fireplaces are great, kitchen very large, loft fun and cool and the hot tub perfect at the end of the day.

The weather was sunny but not to hot. The outdoor activities were a great balance for the kids and adults. We had a great stay.
The house in general was very nice with a ton of space, but the downstairs was somewhat damp. We think prior renters came in the rental with wet feet from the hot tub. -

The grill was out of gas, we had to buy a new tank and that evening was ruined. the Hot tub took a lot of time to heat. The house was spacious and had a lot of facilities. But it had no lake view, since we asked for the mountaintop we assumed we will have a lake view, our mistake. but overall good deal.

The house and location were wonderful. The pool, however, was dirty and unkept--there was actually about 5 dead mice in the filter 'trap'. We were very disappointed that no one within our family felt comfortable in using the pool.
We also did not get a lot of direction from the office regarding were to put our garbage (during the week) and our dirty linens/towels at the end of our stay. -

On arrival we needed to reclean the rooms downstairs of cobwebs and kill the spiders, which were in every corner in the ceiling and floors, in the beds and under the most of the beds. Throughout the day we found things that were broken, like some of the dvd players for the kids, the pool table that was strapped together to hold it upright and half of the pool cues. That night several mice were in the house which we found living in the fireplace. The lake access that was 2 mins away ended up being just the entrance to a 300 foot drop-off lined with stairs and about a 1/4 mile long just to get across the street and down another set of stairs to get to the lake. We would not of rented it if we knew that. Not a good walk/ hike with the kids so we had to settle with the pool the whole trip.
We did need to have some service done to the house while there but that was a fast response and had it fixed in a matter of 1 hour. Liked the check-in process fast and informative. Would rent from long and foster again but not this house. There was some misrepresentaion on the amentaties and a big disappointment with the lake access that became the deal breaker. -

The Mountain Top Lodge was a perfect place for our families' stay. The pictures of the place are exactly what you will get when you stay here and we were amazed at how nice this place is. It is in a great location and I recommend this place to others in the future. I would definitely stay here again.

A group of us went to Deep Creek for a bachelorette party and stayed at this lovely house. It was large and airy, with plenty of space for everyone. View outside wasn't majestic, but with the fall foliage turning, it was nice. Not far from the main strip - not walkable, but only a few miles. Overall, I recommend this place!

Overall, this is a beautiful, well-furnished house in a great location. However, we did have a couple issues during our stay:
1. The boxspring in one of the bedrooms was completely broken, so one of our guests had to sleep on the couch in the living room.
2. The floors were pretty dirty, as if someone had forgotten to clean them after the last renters.
3. The grill needed a lot of cleaning before it was usable.
Despite these issues, we had a great stay. -
