Left on 04/22/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The house was well appointed and the hot tub was wonderful. It did snow the first wek of april and might have been too cold even for the wildlife. We are thinking of excuses to come back!

yes, Red Pines is a wonderful home in our program that just continues to get better as the homeowners show a lot of 'pride of ownership' and keep adding to the amenities/quality. I can say with all honest that I have even seen snowflakes on the 4th of July - 1996. I am told that the only month that Garrett County hasn't seen snow is in August. The cool evenings in the Summer are the original 'tourist attraction' to Garrett County - before the advent of air conditioning, the B&O Railroad brought the affluent to our mountains in the Summer for a cool nights sleep. I don't have AC in my own home and often sleep with blankets/comforters in the summer! Thank you for being our guest at Red Pines and we look forward to seeing you again.

Washington, DCYear-round Rental gem
Left on 01/31/2013 for a stay in January 2013
I have been to Red Pine in both the summer and winter and it has proven to be a year-round find. The house is clean, spacious and well equipped - especially for families. You are close to all the activities at Wisp and Deep Creek Lake, but feel peaceful with all the nature that surrounds you at Red Pine. I would recommend this cabin to any of my friends and plan to return again!

We had a great time at Red Pine, and probably are going to try for it this year again! Lots of room to sled and our grandchildren built a snowman that was still there when we left. Also neat there was a hot tub. we had snow the whole time and really enjoyed our time there. The home was kind of like being home. we arrived the evening of Christmas day and left on New Year's day.

Left on 10/07/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I was married in the Ridgeview Estate venue 9/8/12. Red pine offered me a great location for relaxation with incredible privacy. Offlake rentals followed throug with incredible service and helped make a very stressful weekend more of a vacation. This house gave us plenty of room for the wedding party with room to spare. We also woke up to a black bear hanging out a couple feet from our patio door. Absolutely incredible (from inside the house of course). Not the typical DeepCreek rental, but you will not be disapointed if you are looking for a quiet, comfy, home away from home. Thank you again Bob and Stacy for making our most important day even more memorable.

We really enjoyed our stay! Loved the location (central to everything), the privacy (no neighbors), and throw in a really nice home (with everything we wanted/needed) and all that equaled a great vacation. Plus, we had a small black bear visit our last night - I was really hoping to see a bear! We would definitely rent Red Pine again and hope to come back soon!

Very homey! We all felt comfortable from the minute we arrived. Pleanty of room for the kids to romp around and the adults to relax. Burned lots of wood in the firepit and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Washington, DCChristmas at Red Pine
Left on 02/01/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Red Pine was a very cozy all pine home tucked away just minutes from all the activities. The pictures are well understated as the home is much more beautiful in person. We stayed, 2 adults and 2 teenage children, during the Christmas holiday season. They even complemented us among other things with a Christmas tree which I didn't expect!
The home was equipped with everything you needed in a home away from home. An informative manual explained all that you needed to know, not just inside the home but in the surrounding community as well including bear precautions. It is just minutes from skiing, ice skating, snowboarding, restaurants, mini-markets and much more. My family had a memorable vacation. We are looking forward to returning. -

Oakton, VAGreat Family Stay! Recommend and Will Return!
Left on 01/30/2012 for a stay in December 2011
This is truly a lovely home. The floor plan is casual but there is enough space for a large group to comfortably interact. There is a lower level sitting area, with TV, as well as a large family room upstairs. All TVs are great and in working order.
The beds are all very comfortable, and we easily slept 7 -- with all bunk beds in use.
You are close to wisp -- literally no more than a ten minute drive. As well central to grocery stores and a few restaurants.
The kitchen is really well stocked! Wow, we did not want for anything.
The only downside is a very trigger happy smoke alarm. You need to crack a window when you cook bacon, or the alarm will go off as the fan vents to the inside, not the outside.
You would definitely need a four wheel drive if there is a lot of snow as the gravel road has quite a hill to go up.
Would highly recommend this house. It is beautifully furnished, in a nice location so that you are close to all activities, but feel as if you are far away, all at the same time!

Potomac, MDSo pleased with our stay!
Left on 01/30/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We arrived at our nice little cabin which was beautifully decorated and everything was very clean, new and spacious! We were actually given the wrong code to enter our place which was annoying until our 5 year old cracked the code!! We fit 2 families with room for a third! Lots of land and a firepit outside. There were devices to okay your iPod and lots of tv's. There is wi-fi which is great, but low cell reception. We were 3 minutes from the slopes and cooked all out meals in the lovely kitchen. We will definitely be back!!
Response from Offlake Rentals - 01/31/2012
Manager
Glad that your family had a good stay and our sincerest apologies for the incorrect entry code! While we offer the 'self checkin method' for the convenience of our guests, occassionally our inspector makes a mistake in setting the wrong code for our guests. Rest assured that this rarely happens and we do offer the 24 hour emergency line with maintenance man on call for such emergencies. Glad that your 5 year old was smarter than our inspector! Thank you for taking such good care of the home (cleaning vendor reported back to us your care of the house) and we look forward to hosting your future trip!

We had the best weekend at Red Pine!! The house was so warm and friendly, we loved the fire pit and all the woods. The house also had everything one family would need, my father had just pasted, so my family of four children and their husbands and wifes had the most relaxing and loving weekend. Thank you

Bel Air, MDBeautiful Cabin
Left on 11/03/2011 for a stay in September 2011
In September, a few of my best buddies and I visited the Red Pine cabin in Deep Creek Lake. The cabin was clean upon arrival, and had the aroma of the woods from the pine interior. The property was quiet and serene. The fire pit was put to good use. Proximity to local spots and wisp was also a plus. I would stay here again.

Fairfax, VANice Home. A little secluded, but has everything you need!
Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in September 2011
New Cabin, spacious, clean, and filled with everything you need for a nice vacation. Lot of space around the cabin for activities. It is a little secluded, cul-de-sac, so the drive the very first time is tricky, especially if you are arriving in the dark. Note that there is no Hut-tub here. I believe there is no aC either, but we did not care to check since the weather was good. Heard of black bears visiting this place, but did not see any on our trip! (No need to Panic, just read the informative flyers on what do to)

Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We had a wonderful weekend...we traveled from Southern Maryland with family and friends to attend our family reunion at New Germany State Park. We were thoroughly impressed with Red Pine. The home was very well set up and equiped for everything that we desired to do. Wildlife was abundent...some of our party even got to see our early evening visit from Momma Bear and her two cubs. Would definitely stay here again. These kind of of experience are why we continue to book with Off Lake Rentals. We are currently scheduled to return to another listing with them over the upcoming Labor Day weekend. Thanks again for helping us provide a great time with our family and friends.

New JerseyExceeded our expectations!
Left on 03/16/2011 for a stay in February 2011
The pictures don't do justice to the home! It was perfect for our crew that included four teenage boys. The house is very close to Wisp so traveling back and forth was easy. The house was new, clean and comfortable. There are curtains on the windows ... another review said they were missing. We looked for the black bear but we never saw him.

We stayed at Red Pine for five days over the Christmas-New Year's holiday and had a terrific time. The house was charming and very convenient to Wisp. The house was also conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants, etc. The house was spotless, and is in terrific condition. It looks and feels brand new. Kitchen had everything we needed, jacuzzi tub was appreciated after skiing, and the beds were super comfortable! We also loved the upper level family room with the foosball table. We can't wait to return!

Sharpsburg, MDA great time for all...including the dogs!
Left on 11/08/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and decorated very nicely, and the beds were very comfortable too. We all agreed that it was a good location, close to a lot of things, but still a quiet, peaceful and beautiful area. Though it was rather warm this year, we still enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings just relaxing from the days activites. We appreciate the owners allowing pets in their home. It's nice to be able to have them with us and not worry abouth them at a kennel and there are some very nice dog friendly places that we all enjoyed visiting.

Cambridge, MDSummer Vacation 2010
Left on 08/27/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The house was perfect. Newly built and very clean. Nicely laid out. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Beautiful wooded location close to many attractions. Plenty of room in the house. Very easy check in procedures. We absolutely loved it. The only issue we had was no curtains in the master bedroom or bath on the first floor. With kids running around outside, we had to hang towels in the windows for showering and dressing.

Red Pine is very nice laid out home, lots of space, fire pit is great,we took our 21 foot boat,no place to keep it or turn around at the house, but the highlight of the vacation was the 300 pound black bear that visited every night around 10 o"clock.Kids had a great time with that many pics..
