      Great Whitewater Weekend

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in July 2012

My friends and I stayed at Boulder Lodge the weekend before July 4th and had a wonderful time. The accomodations were excellent and provided ample room for all of us (13) to feel very comfortable and relaxed. The pool, although small, is a wonderful addition that helped us have the best time on our short vacation. The hottub, albeit with a small challenge in one of the hoses, was a wonderful way to end each day of activity, food and drinks. Thank you to the team at Railey Mountain for helping to make our annual trip a successful one. See you again next year!!!

This house is all about location, location, location!

Left on 02/02/2012 for a stay in January 2012

Just spent an extended weekend with some other families in this house and found the location was incredible for ski in / ski out!! It was a short walk to 4 lifts with access to all ski slope levels. Our group was diverse and included a lot of children and beginner level skiers as well as advanced black diamond skiers and this house was perfect for all. It has been well maintained and has an awesome boot / mud room for easy entry & exit to the slopes. There were benches to put your boots on, cubbies & coat hooks plus ski and snowboard racks to store the equipment.

As bonus ammenities there's an outdoor hot tub and an indoor pool. The indoor pool is miniature in size but was fine for the kids to splash around in when we weren't out skiing. Our group voted to rent this house again for another trip sometime.

Couples' Weekend Vacation at Boulder Lodge

Left on 12/15/2010 for a stay in December 2010

We had a great experience at Boulder Lodge. Check-In was fantastic. There was no wait and the staff was very friendly. The house was in good condition minus a few things. Some of the dishes in the cabinets weren't clean. During the evenings, the bedrooms on the main level were chilly while the main area and upstairs bedrooms were toasty. The pool was chilly but a call to maintenance got that fixed right away. The DVD player connected to the main tv didn't work so we had to connect one from one of the bedrooms to it. There were other minor things but maintenance was very accomodating and fixed what they could within an hour of receiving a call. Overall the house had everything that we wanted and needed. We had a great time.

      Bold Experience

Left on 10/13/2010 for a stay in October 2010

We had the wonderful opportunity to rent and stay at Boulder Lodge. We are a group of friends, 7 couples. We have been renting houses in the Deep Creek area for over 15 years. This house, by far, had the best bed accommodations that we have ever had, especially since we are senior citizens. The indoor pool was wonderful and well maintained. There was plenty of utensils etc. The home was very well kept. There was a neat two sided fireplace that opened onto the outside deck. This was really nice on the cool nights. The only negative was that the previous renters were not considerate of others when they left. They put away dishes and pots that were not cleaned properly. It only takes a few minutes to check. This has nothing to do with the unit itself. It is just common courtesy to think of others. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. There was a broken coffee pot when we arrived. We notified the rental company, they brought us a whole new coffee maker instead of just bringing the pot. The response time was quick. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. Wonderful Experience!!!

Amazing vacation... great house... not so privite...

Left on 08/25/2010 for a stay in August 2010

Railey's is an amazing place to rent a home from they are very accommodating great customer service and just all around a great place to deal with. i will be using them for the rest of my vacations. On the other hand this house in particular was not the best they had to offer. The house in general is amazing, great amenity's beautiful design and layout, but the pool is vary small for a house that is to accommodate 18 ppl. the beds are vary uncomfortable, for as much beauty this house has you would think a little more money would have been spent on better mattresses but, all in all i have to say everything else about this place it just amazing. O and the only other fault the house had was no steps from the decks to the yard. you have to travel threw the house to get out to the yard.

      Family great, accommodations ok.

Left on 07/30/2010 for a stay in June 2010

That was the second time I had stayed at Boulder Lodge and both times we encountered problems. From October of '09 till June, I did see some small improvements in the game room. We love the beds and the layout of the place, pool, and hot tub. What we did not like is having no phone (my second time), something wrong with the cable (cannot remember, but my 2nd time), and thank God someone was down stairs when the flood happen over the ping pong table. There were a few other complaints from some other family members, but I forgot to rate you right after and my mind is fuzzy about it. Oh, the fireplace with the alarm and the grill. I would not pick this house again. We love the area and we will be back. This is the second house we have had in this area and to be honest, we like your competitor's homes better up the street in West Virginia.

      Game room problems

Left on 02/15/2010 for a stay in February 2010

Although we enjoyed our stay we were disappointed in the condition of the
basement playroom. As soon as we got to the house on Thurs. Jan 4th we
called to inform Railey of the following broken items: broken wood end on
shuffleboard table, and broken men on foosball game. On Friday night the
ping pong table just collapsed without any reason. Thank good our little ones
were not under it! We did inform Railey of this at checkout. We experienced
the biggest snow storm to date at the house and would have really liked to
have been able to enjoy the games!

We did love everything else about your house and hope to use it again if these
items are either fixed or replaced.

      Thank you,
      Andrea Kelly

      AWESOME

Left on 12/17/2009 for a stay in December 2009

What a great house! We had a fantastic time! Cannot think of anything negative to say, except we could have had some more snow. Would not hesitate to re-rent or recommend. Pool, hot tube, game room with ping pong, pool, shuffle board and dome hockey were all enjoyable.

      Adult 40's Birthday

Left on 12/10/2009 for a stay in December 2009

I've rented through Railey several times and have never had an issue. We were very disappointed that the indoor hot tub was not working and that we were not infomed ahead of time or offered a discount for the inconvenience. We were all looking forward to hanging out in the pool and hottub.

The internet was also not working during our visit.

I know this is a liability and safety device for families that stay with children, but it would have been nice to be able to turn off the alarm to the pool. It was only adults staying with us, so the security alarm was not necessary for us. It became quite annoying. I understand and think it is a wonderful idea for families that stay there, but think it should have an off code.

I'm not sure if all the showers were like this but the one in our bathroom was like taking a shower while getting hit with needles. The pressure seemed to be high for the type of shower head.

We had a wonderful weekend and I would definitly recommend it to others and stay there again.

Couples Getaway at Boulder Lodge '09

Left on 10/16/2009 for a stay in March 2009

This is the second time we've stayed at Boulder Lodge. The first was our 20th anniversary party with 6 of our favorite couple friends. There is so much to do! You're right at the top of the mountain, next door to the outdoor adventure place. We had plenty of games in the fun basement, so everyone had fun. There was plenty of room for 14 people, with the private bedrooms and bathrooms, huge kitchen, and dining table that seated all of us. The indoor pool and indoor hot tub almost always had someone in them. We loved sitting in the outdoor hot tub, in the snow, watching skiers on the lift! We highly recommend this beautiful house. If you can't have fun here, you must be nuts!

      Great for Couples

Left on 10/14/2009 for a stay in October 2008

We rented this house for a "couples" weekend. The majority of the rooms had a private bath and only two couples had to share a bathroom which was great. I loved the big dining room table as we were all able to sit down and eat together. The kitchen was to die for!! It had two of everything and their was plenty of room for all the cooks! Love having a private pool in the house as well as the hot tub. would absolutely rent this house again!
