I stayed at the house with 15 other people, we all enjoyed our stay especially the hot tub and private indoor pool. Plenty of space in the house where no one were bumping or crawling over one another. Really didn't care for the location of the house, to close to the amenities such as the main road, welcome center and stores. It felt like i was still in the city almost, would have like to be a bit more in the wood line. But all in all, we enjoyed the house and our stay, but I would only rent this property again in the off season. By looking at the property in the photo makes it look as if it sits alone or away from other properties, however it doesn't...

I loved the house!! I thought it was absolutely spectacular. The only thing I was not particularly happy about was the location. I thought it should've been set off, somewhere by itself, instead of so close to the other homes. I was celebrating my birthday, and was concerned about the noise level of peoples voices. I wondered if the neighbors would complain. They didn't. But, I'd prefer a home, not sooo close to the others houses/townhomes. Read more

The house is perfect for families with children. Closely situated to Wisp, it was very convenient for the adults and older kids in our group to enjoy skiing and snowboarding while the little ones splashed around in the indoor pool. The house is very close to the main thoroughfare; grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, and arcade. The house was spotless when we arrived and the check-in and out processes went with no difficulty. All in all a wonderful vacation spot.

Weekend for Jeffrey
Thanksgiving Weekend in Deep Creek with the family
Left on 12/01/2010 for a stay in November 2010 | Weekend for Jeffrey
At the time we booked the house my brother was battling cancer and we wanted to get the whole family together for Thanksgiving and Deep Creek was a wonderful location. The registration specialists were wonderful dealing with me especially since my brother lost his battle 1 1/2 weeks before Thanksgiving. We as a family decided to still go so the family could be together. The home fit our needs wonderfully. We could all eat together. The bedrooms with the daybeds and trundles worked out wonderful for those with children. This was our first time renting a place with a pool and we loved it especially after we finally got it to the right temperature. The best part was the alarm system and that it was right off the main floor so we didn't have to worry about the children. The view was lovely. We were a little disappointed in the 2 basement bedrooms having to share a bathroom in the main familyroom and the size of those rooms. Parking was a little tough. We had to keep moving cars. The only other thing we were disappointed in was the stove for such a large house and it didn't work the best. The best part would be a large enough house that we could all be together instead of separate houses, the upstairs and master bedroom, the wood fireplace, the additional freezer, the hot tub and pool. We would differently like to rent this place again for our family.
Great place of fun

It was a spacious house with lots of room. The kitchen was a nice size and the indoorpool was a plus. I would recommend it to anyone

This house is magnificent. I vacation in Vail Colorado and this house is similar to something you would find out there. Very open and spacious with deluxe accommodations. All upgraded appliances which came in handy feeding our family of 28 people. Very clean and lots of entertainment built into the house. The location on a scale of 1-10 is a 7 in my opinion. You have to cross a road to get to the lake, there is a road above you about 200 yards, and you are very close to your neighbors. Lucky for us our neighbors were fabulous so that worked out really well. The nice thing about the location is that you beside the go-cart race track which was great for the kids, and you're only about 5 minutes from everything else. You could barely hear the traffic, and you couldn't hear the go-cart track at all. Would we stay here again, yes, only if we had less people going. The sleeping arrangements for 28 is really tight but doable.

We had 16 employees at our company retreat and we fit nicely in Cedar Chateau without doubling up in beds. Plenty of bathrooms and the pool and hot tub were great. The two dining room tables gave us plenty of room to have our meetings. The kitchen was well equipped for the meals we ate in. We would definitely return!

Things we didn't like!
1). Did not like paying extra for early check-in.
2). Price was very expensive for 2 1/2 days.
3). Parking was difficult.
4). Did not like the way the house was crowded in with other properties. Too expensive for these conditions.
5). We came to Deep Creek to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with both of our families, but for that price we probally could have gone to the beach for an entire week.
Making do with a broken house.

Started off with a replacement refrigerator, that was not nearly large enough to hold food for 27 people(capacity for Cedar Chateau), Plus the ice maker in the freezer didn't work. Bathrooms were not clean, maybe wiped down. There were yellow stains on the rim of the toilet bowl in master bedroom, seat was clean but not underneath. There are at least four nails protruding from the ceiling in the kitchen area. None of the sliding doors on main level work properly. They open maybe 15 inches before binding up. There should be black out curtains placed on the sliding doors in the kitchen, because once the afternoon suns comes in you are almost blinded, and forget trying to eat dinner on the side of the table that faces the sun, which makes half of the seating useless during the evening meal. We did receive a new fridge while we were there on Thursday, so we were with very little fridge space for the majority of our vacation for 27 people. And on Friday the oven died and we were without an oven for the final two days and the repair man who was sent in was about the most inept person I have ever seen, I had to find the serial number for him so he could find a replacement part. The bedroom doors on the upper level barely latch, in fact you could push them open without even turning the knob, very useful for you privacy. The location of the house was fine, the access to the lake was fine, there was ample parking and plenty of space within the house. The house itself is in a state of minor disrepair, and needs a good deal of fixing. There was a large drywall patch at the bottom of the stairs, which would be fine, except this one was not sanded or finished and there was no paint on it, that's just not acceptable for a house which costs as much as it does for one week. The house could be great, but it is obvious that this house is simply a money maker for someone, and there is no care to it at all.

the location of the property was perfect for children. inside pool was wonderful.
however, terrible problem with ants, exterminator was called twice and we still had to throw away food. the house phone did not work all week. the linens on the beds were too small and uncomfortable. but, the service at the real estate management office were wonderful to work with. this is not the first time we have rented a vacation home and not sure if we would do it again. this is a family reunion and some members do not want to come back.

The house was amazing, but the pool table, refridgerator, and television were all broken when we arrived. There is plenty of sleeping room for everyone, and the pool was great.
Nice but aging

The home was obviously very nice when it was new but is pretty worn out at this time. Repairing appliance racks and reconditioning leather sofa as well as replacing duvets would go a long way with out spending a lot.
Also my nephew slipped in the sewage outside the house. My husband reported the sewage issue to maintenance. Constant odor outdoors.
Nice, But could take a shower in the kitchen

This home was very nice except the water leakage throughout the house was a bet surprising considering the money we payed> I think they could have done better with clearing the snow. After complaining about the water leakage we were compensated, and they did try their best to make our stay more comfortable. But who has the idea of spending their weekend in watery house with humdifiers and buckets to catch the water. All in all the sales manager and property manager were very considered of our complaint. The house does not sit alone as you see in the picture it is surrounded by other large house. Also one of the bedrooms upstairs did not have a DVD player as listed. Nice house we a re planning to go back next year!!!!!!!
Great place for family and friends of all ages.

Although it's been a couple years since I have stayed here (or gone to Deep Creek), my family and friends still talk about this trip and how we had such a great time. The house was amazing inside and out. The amenities there were excellent and accommodations for all of our guests were top notch. The kitchen area has enough seating for roughly the 15 people or so we had there. We stayed there in the winter, so the hot tub came in handy for relaxing. The indoor pool was an added bonus. The pool was not heated at the time, so it takes some getting used to if you go directly from the hot tub to the pool. It was not cold by any means, just not warm as the hot tub, which is a no brainer. You can see the ski slopes from the back deck of the house, and the location is convenient to the slopes and nearby shopping centers. The only drawback that I could think of is the parking, which there is not a lot of for the number of bedrooms the house has. Fortunately a number of us carpooled, so this was not a major issue. If you’re looking for a place to accommodate a large group of people with plenty with nice amenities and close proximity to the area attractions, then this is your place.

The house was great, the stay was great. We brought food their and then went to walmart and purchase food, then finds out the freezer did not work and the refrigerator didn't get that cold, therefore alot of the food went bad. Besides that we had a WONDERFUL time.
