We plan on coming back next year but will try to find a better lake accomodation - that was the only disappointment. The rental unit was very nice, it just didn't have the lake view we wanted.

We had a great time at Wisp. Our accomodations were much nicer than we had expected and it was truly a "home away from home." It had everything we needed!!

The rental generally met out needs for an inexpensive overnight get away, however, two things we noticed. First, we were unable to get the upstairs fireplace to light. Second, the beds were not big enough or very comfortable. The second night, I slept on the couch. We would not rent this property again because of the beds. If you had king beds that were comfortable, I would rent again because of the location. Also, we were surpised to find that the TV was not newer and bigger, since we typically like to watch football,we would have preferred a new, bigger TV.
Overall we were not satisfied. -

Ultra quick check-in, perhaps 2-3 minutes tops, and very professional service. This is the 3rd year renting this same home - almost know it as well as our own. Home completely clean on arrival and ready to go. Layout of kitchen, dining area, and living room well done. Easy stair access to bedrooms, entertainment room and laundry. Banisters to all floors help to safely stabilize a senior's aging body.
Everything is provided in the kitchen (pots, pans, tools, utensils) for just about any kind of cooking and entertaining. There is a great ice maker in the fridge, plus the range and dishwasher are provided for other kitchen tasks. Dining area has a large table with chairs and benches for seating. All bathrooms are well laid out and well lit. Everything works well.
Best liked? This location gives a good view of the lake plus it allows one to hear ducks and other birds in the morning giving a great sense of natural surroundings. This location also has a row of gorgeous trees between the home and the lake directly visible through the windows of all 3 floors. This location also gives quick access to the Wisp, McHenry's stores and other shopping and entertainment facilities.
Least liked? Towel bars and toilet roll holders are of weak design and/or poorly mounted (loose and falling off). All need replaced and/or remounted.
