The house is very comfortable to stay in for a week. It is located nearby to many places and one can walk during the day. However, during ones walk, one must heed some of the drivers on Rock Lodge Rd. Some drive way too fast! Some suggestions for improvement are : the mattress in the master bedroom is a little high, but comfortable; the screens that slide on the sliding doors are not very effective; There could be more available on the TV so that movies from the TV could be watched.
Our new happy place!

We absolutely loved this house as soon as we walked in. You could tell the owners really took care of everything and provided every single thing you could ever need/want! Our group made so many good memories and it was a great place to celebrate my friend's birthday! Needless to say, we will be back next year to celebrate, ski and relax! :)

Nice winter getaway spot

This house is nicely set up for us - with 3 teens. Comfortable, clean and well equipped, it was easy to find everything we needed. Bedrooms are well furnished and the beds were comfortable. The roads in and out were kept clear, which was very important to us since we did not have snow tires or 4-wheel drive.
The price is probably good for a blend of 2 families splitting the cost, but we ended up with a little more room than we needed for our family of 5, so we would look for someplace a little less expensive next time. The realtor was reliable and helpful.
The fireplaces that we had planned to enjoy were a huge disappointment. They are not well maintained and the house kept filling up with smoke. We called maintenance and did not get a quick reply, though they sent someone out on Christmas Eve. We were told it was the chimney design so we barely used it during the remainder of our stay.
The 2 showers are tiny, most window coverings were poorly fitted and/or did not work properly. It would have been great to use the garage to get in and out of our van without tracking a bunch of snow into the van or house, but there is a boat stored there. The TV in the living room is installed a little higher than is ideal for viewing and the DVD player downstairs did not work, so we had to watch movies on the living room TV.
All in all it was a nice house and a great area for winter time family fun, in spite of the few disappointments.

We found the unit to be in good condition but in need of basic maintenance, several windows did not open, the patio screen doors for the master bedroom and the family room were off the track and would not open correctly. The cable box was not working along with the TV in the master bedroom.
The master bathtub faucet handle was broken; the guest bedroom door handle was too.
Not the best house to rent for your vacation.

This house has some water damage issues that are eye sores when staying at a vacation house. Also the heat was very hard to control, making the upper floors very hot and uncomfortable. The one thing that is nice about this house is the location. It is very close to Wisp mountain and other attractions.

Went to Deep Creek for a girlfriends getaway long weekend and loved it. The enitre area is great and the house was beautiful. There were five of us from 3 states and we were all impressed with the house and the folks at Railey. Highly recommend this one and look forward to going back again one day.
