We stayed in this property last Christmas and were delighted to return this year. The kitchen makeover is really beautiful, I cannot think of one thing that we needed that was not provided. It is so nice to crawl into bed after a long day and turn on the gas stove for a cozy nights sleep. Overall, it was a great experience.
The only issue that we had with the property itself was with the hot tubs. They were filthy and didn't have enough water in them. My suggestion would be to thoroughly clean the units before the next guests arrive.
The other issue we had was with Railey itself. We ended up leaving on Christmas night and wanted to speak to someone or at the very least, leave a voice message. None of the options worked on the phone number that we called, as a matter of fact, the message started with announcing that it was thanksgiving weekend. Not helpful.
Also, the people in the green house right next to us were out shreiking in their hot tub until 1 am for 3 nights straight. We scoured the house looking for information about who to call to no avail. It might help to have that information available to renters if needed in a place easily found. -

Great house for a multi-family gathering; space for individual privacy when you need it; lots of room to play; outside is safe for children (except of course the need for caution around the lake); and private. There is no end to the activities available around DCL. Great vacation location.

The house was great. We all had a blast staying in this gorgous home except for the heating problem. The house would not get warm. Our bedroom probably averaged 50 degrees - no joke.
We love the location of the home and the price was reasonable. I would probably give this home a rating of 10 if it had better heating threw out the home. But when you have been skiing in the cold and come home to warm up but can't because the heat just doesn't seem to work. My overall rating on this home would be a 5... -

Over 10 years with Railey and never disappointed. Railey's culture is delighting the customer, and their people are key, always thoughtful, attentive and responsive. They all do a great job representing Railey and their property owners. Lost count, but believe we have been going to DCL 9-years and staying at Majestic Lodge for the last 5-years. We will return again in 2010. Ample room for many families. Love the individual suites. Kitchen is well equipped. Screened in gazebo is "poker city" when the sun sets. The covered lower deck is great for a rainy day, and the safe secure location and circle drive is ideal for children's play. Bring their bikes. The dock easily accommodates two large boats and is a great launching point for swimming fun. Only down side is waves caused by thoughtless boaters running too close to the shore line. If you are not on the lake, DCL offers many many other activities. You can be busy every day doing something new; or just relaxing at your Lodge.
