Another Great Vacation!
Overlook Mountain 1BA great family experience at a great value.
Left on 02/24/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This was our second stay at the Overlook Mountain condo 1B and we will be back again. We love the location, view, accomodations, and the price.
The only negative feedback: the master bedroom bed sheets, pillows, blankets are not comfortable (too hot; I don't think they breath at all, so just bring your own if needed). Also, would prefer more of a comfortable living area on main floor as opposed to formal dining room. -

This unit was beautiful. It provided a perfect place for our family to gather away from "the norm". We enjoyed the view from the deck and all the wonderful touches that made the house feel like a home.
The staff at Railey cheerfully helped pick the unit and pleasantly guided us through check in.
A great place. -

We had a great time in deep creek. We would have loved to use the back deck to take in the views however, it wasn't shoveled and we couldn't get out onto the deck because of all of the snow. The snow drifts were about 4 feet tall on the deck. we also felt that a TV in the main dining/living area would have been great. People spend so much time in a kitchen that a TV that was upstairs would have been nice. Other than that the place was great, lots of space and the rooms were very nice.

Baltimore, MDNice home, close to skiing without the slopeside price tag.
Left on 02/03/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Our family enjoyed a long ski weekend in January in the 3-bedroom Overlook 1B condo. This is our second year staying in Overlook. Last year we stayed in one of the 4 bedroom garage units. Both units have been very nice. We really enjoyed the 3 master suites in this year's unit, one on each level. The kids loved the hot tub as did a couple of the adults brave enough to endure the two steps from the hot tub to the sliding door (it was only 7 degrees outside). This home was also very nicely appointed with comfortable furniture in the lower-level family room as well as a nice loft sitting area outside the upper-level master suite. The one thing lacking in this unit that the garage unit had was a large mudroom off of the garage that was ideal for getting in and out of ski boots and all the damp clothing. In this unit, we found ourselves crowded in the foyer to remove boots and clothing from ourselves and the kids so we would damage the beautiful hardwood floors on the main level. We also preferred the living room area on the main level in the other unit to the formal dining area in this unit (a matter of preference, of course). Besides being very nicely maintained homes, one of the best things about the Overlook townhomes for skiers is the convenient proximity to Wisp's summit parking lot. Although you do have to drive (its too far to walk), it is literally a 1 minute drive to the summit parking lot, which, by the way, is infinitely less crowded than the base lodge area. Even on Saturday, we had no problems finding parking at the summit any time of day. It was so easy to come off the mountain, home for lunch and back skiing in no time. So, even though you do have to use your car, this place is almost as good as slope-side accommodations, but at a fraction of the rental cost. We will likely make one of the Overlook units our ski home for next year's family weekend at Wisp and even for many years afterward.

The villa a very nice. It was clean and very spacious. Downside is that it did not have a jacuzzi and it would have nice if it had a pool table. The view was great however it is up the mountain so in bad weather it may be difficult to get up and down.
