Carmichaels,PaWe had an adventurous girlfriend getaway here in Deep Creek!
Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Cabin 48 was very nice..cozy and enough room for 8 of us to get around in. Beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was small but good for what we needed. The outside hottub was awesome and we enjoyed the fire pit also. It's a nice place to sit outside with friends and talk..very quiet there. Our only negatives were there was no storage for toiletries(hard for 8 women) and no full length mirror. Other then that we enjoyed everything else. Very nice place to stay and close to entertainment and restaurants.

There were 40+ Wilsons/Coriells for a fun packed weekend (Aug. 6-8, 2010). Easy access to the state park and stores. We plan on returning next year for a longer stay, 3 nights perhaps. We rented 5 cabins and they were centrally located for easy access to the fire pit, the grill and to the adjacent cabins.
The only negative remark is the sink is very small and of course no stove. But we had enough of crock pots and pre-made meals to heat up in the microwave and the grill.
As far as recommendations go and if possible, we suggest some sort of playground, small jungle gym across from the cabins for the kiddies. Horseshoe pits would be nice too.
In addition, a fire pit for burning wood located across from the cabins would be nice as the gas fire pit does not provide much heat and a large family like ours could not encircle the gas fire. We were positioned in a semi-circle around the pit because of the hill on one side of it and were a little concern of having the chairs slide and tumble over the hill.
Other then that, all families loved the cabins and want to return next year.
Thanks for the rustic accommadations and great memories!

Southern MarylandBeautiful and spacious place to relax!

Our cabin (48) was so perfect! It was Beautiful, Comfortable, Clean and did I say Beautiful!!!
We loved the warming fireplace. And enjoyed the hot tub. There was 9 of us and we fit comfortably.
The large kitchen and bar area came in very handy,
and the 3 bathrooms were also a hit!(no waiting in line) Check in and out was extremely easy, the receptionists were very friendly, and location was close to the ski slopes and food. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again. And we can't stop suggesting these lodges to our family and friends!!!! Thank you -

Setting up the rental was easy and the company was great about letting us check-in 2 hours early. The home is modern and clean with an incredibly high ceiling in living room. It has a grill off the back deck and a hot tub adjascent to the building. Only concerns renters might have are below:
(1) There's no stove in the kitchen, just a microwave, which mnakes cooking meals for a big group (the place holds 10) a real pain.
(2) The quality of the beads differs dramatically with two nice rooms for 4 people, two smaller beds sharing a "room" (separated from the living room by a curtain) with smaller beds for 4 people, and a foldout couch for 2 people in the living room. Fine if there are kids, but adults may get a little antsy about the sleeping arrangements.
(3) The hottub is nice, but we couldn't get it hotter than 98 degrees even after 6 hours of letting it warm up with the cover on in January. More like a hot bath. This isn't a universal problem I've stayed in cabins with hot tubs that reached the 105 range in colder temperatures.
Overall pretty solid place if you have a large group, especially for the price. Since we were there to ski at Wisp, the close location was a plus. -

We loved this cabin! It was cosy and warm and had plenty of room for our
family of 8. Loved the decor and the smell of wood as you walk in. I did miss
not having an oven, but the grill was great. It was a great location just minutes
from Wisp. Check in was a breeze and everyone at Railey was very helpful.
Fresh snow during our stay made it a winter wonderland. Loved it!!!!!!
