Enjoy the many luxuries afforded by this beautiful Caribbean-style villa -- exquisite furnishings and decor, enclosed courtyard with lush tropical gardens, and plunge pool. Then venture out to the pristine beachfront of Meads Bay, just a 4 minute stroll away, for beachcombing, swimming, and snorkeling. Stunning panoramic views of St. Maarten Mountains, Caribbean Sea, and magnificent sunsets await you at Jasmine Villa. It's just a 4 minute walk or 2 minute drive to spectacular Meads Bay public beach, a mile-long crescent of white sand and calm turquoise waters. Nearby are several gourmet restaurants, including the renowned Blanchard's Restaura...nt, and a world class health and beauty spa at the neighboring Malliouhana Hotel. <br /><br />This traditionally styled, architect-designed home is airy and spacious. Although cooled by constant trade breezes through the 10 French doors, Jasmine Villa also offers central air-conditioning and ceiling fans for your comfort. Cable TV, telephone, radio & CD player, and washer & dryer are available to make your stay more pleasant. The main house with a master bedroom is separated by a lush garden courtyard from the second bedroom. Jasmine Villa features extensive covered outside living areas, with terra cotta tiles both inside and out. Furnishings include Indonesian teak furniture and stylish poolside and patio chairs, tables and lounges. The enclosed courtyard offers a plunge pool, tropical gardens, and an outdoor shower.</p>

Daily pool service is provided. The villa has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, including a Jenn-aire grill & cooktop built into the Italian granite countertop. Adjacent to the kitchen are inside and outside dining areas. Chef Service is available for a special evening or your entire stay by advance request. Lovely decor adorns each room of Jasmine Villa, which includes a full king-size bedroom with bathroom en suite in both the main house and the separate guest cottage. Fine linens add the final luxurious touch. Daily housekeeping service (except Sundays) is included.</p>

  Villa Jasmine provides the best of all worlds

  Jasmine is a 5 minute walk down the hill to Mead's Bay. Take the path down to the back gate, head left down to hill.
  
  Blanchards, The Beach Shack, Straw Hat, Jacala are all right there.
  
  Rent a car. We drove to a different beach most days. Shoal Bay, Rendevous and Savannah.
  Given the rough waters that week, Cove Bay at Smokeys was our favorite. I suspect we would have hung more at Mead's Bay if the water was calmer. Chairs, umbrellas, Beach Shack food and drink can't be beat. We had Beach Shack to- go for dinner back at the Villa twice. As I said to my wife, it was the greatest take- out run ever.
  
  Great after a day at the beach to cool off in the pool. It is well maintained and a more than adequate dip pool. The back veranda is perfect for the sunsets. There is a great view of the salt pound from the back veranda that has not been shown in any photos. It perhaps is the dominant view. One can see Viceroy in the distance and the crashing waves on Mead's Bay. The only eyesore is the electric polls and wires - also not shown in any photos. Trust me, you won't mind.
  
  Rooms and furnishings are quaint. Beds are comfy. Water pressure in the bath's just right.
  Roosters crowed at dawn as well as whenever they felt the need. Two of them roamed the back yard on occasion. Goats, tethered and otherwise were spotted nearby.
  
  Daily maid service was a nice surprise. The entire Villa was freshened everyday including clean beach towels. Our housekeeper was even kind enough to do a light load of laundry most days.
  
  Wireless was fine. The owners could invest a few $$ for a 36-42" Flatscreen to give a more modern feel although we didn't turn on the TV once.
  
  There are several outdoor spaces to relax, read, nap, internet in the sun or shade depending on the time of day. Take bug screen - especially for dusk.
  
  The kitchen was well supplied and it was thoughtful to have eggs, butter , crackers, cheese milk, juice, Carib and wine in the fridge upon arrival. We made eggs, toast, coffee, juice several mornings but suggest you find Gerraurd's early in your visit for pastries and breakfast sandwiches. We also suggest a breakfast at Straw Hat on the water. They will gladly provide other provisions on request.
  
  Jasmine is designed for two couples, four friends willing to share a king size or a family with older kids. My wife and I took our 24 year old and it was perfect. This is not the place for little children given the pool, detached 2nd bedroom, steep (enough) drops off the pool and patio, etc.
  
  Jasmine is a great value, close to most things you need/want, and gives you the flexibility to explore and eat-in. We had Tyrone Hughes cook for us one evening. His Pumpkin Soup was tremendous. Look up Tyrone for a great meal and conversation.
  
  The many french doors lock securely, parking your car is inside the gated compound. We had no issues with security or crime at the Villa or around the Island although we took cabs at night.
  
  We will return to Villa Jasmine over any of the top resorts ( although Maundy's Bay at Cap Jaluca is hard to top). The accommodations, location, privacy and flexibility of Villa Jasmine provide the best of all worlds. From the fist day, we felt like were at home.
  
  Best Rum Punch on the Island?
  
  1. Cuisinart Beach Bar ( Bankie's was like kool-aid in comparison)
  2. The white bar at Shoal Bay
  3. Blanchard's Beach Shack
  4. Smokeys at Cove Bay - ask for the "Special" :)

  Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay at Jasmine Villa!

  We stayed at Jasmine Villa for a week during the Christmas holiday. The villa was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was very comfortable. There are so many places to sit and read and just relax. The pool is a plus. The view is gorgeous. The grounds are very well maintained. My favorite spot to just relax was on the balcony outside of the main bedroom. Our teenage daughter loved having her own apartment (since the 2nd bedroom is separate from the main villa). The villa was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is within walking distance of Blanchard's and the beach; a perfect location. This is a fantastic villa!
