Additional Location Information
St Kilda, with a population of 16,122, is located 6km south from Melbourne's CBD. St Kilda was named after a ship, the ‘Lady of St Kilda’, which moored at the main beach for much of 1841. During the Edwardian and Victorian eras, St Kilda became a favoured suburb of Melbourne's elite, and many palatial mansions were constructed along its hills and waterfront. Post WWII, St Kilda became Melbourne's red-light district. In recent years, St Kilda has experienced gentrification. Now St Kilda is one of Melbourne’s premier and most expensive suburbs. St Kilda is home to many of Melbourne's famous visitor attractions including Luna Park, the Esplanade Hotel, Acland Street and Fitzroy Street. It is home to St Kilda Beach, Melbourne's most famous beach, several renowned theatres and several of Melbourne's big events and festivals.

Washington, DCThis is a comfortable apartment in a funky but fun neighborhood
Left on 05/01/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Digital photos clean up the real world but the apartment (though not as pristine as the photo might be read to imply) was in good condition and included all the amenities one could want. A thoughtful touch was a Nespresso machine that was stocked with what happens to be my favorite flavor pod. I arrived on Easter Sunday and was somewhat concerned with the late night noise from the pub in the building, and even more concerned when it recurred on Monday night, not realizing that many aussies take that as a four-day weekend. Noise was then not an issue until the weekend, and it did trail off by 1am. There's also the tram passing by but that becomes white noise. Older people need to appreciate that St. Kilda is a hipster neighborhood, but it is wonderful to have acland Street with its cafes and bakeries and the grocery stores a block away, and still more wonderful to be able to walk another two blocks to the beach. The tram stop is one block away and took me all through the center of Melbourne to the university where I was a visiting academic in about 40 minutes. The place seems well managed; the only other deficiency was that I was without a second set of keys for a week because they had been taken by the previous renter in error. I did not use the cleaning service. In general the management was fine and I really have no serious complaints about the apartment. It will be part of my very nice memories of my month in Oz.

Left on 04/08/2013 for a stay in March 2011
This apartment was a delightful base in St Kilda, close to all amenities and the bustling night life that is on offer. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished. The addition of a Nespresso machine with coffee was a lovely touch.
Parking although not available on site for our apartment was no more than a couple of minutes walk away in a secure car park at the mall.
One word of warning..don't leave windows open to balcony at night otherwise you'll find yourself inundated with little flying intruders! -

Great location, good sized unit, well fitted out kitchen & laundry.
All rooms clean & tidy.
Only issue cafe/ bar downstairs very noisey if on lower floors.
Term & conditions state can't have loud party in rooms but the cafe dowstairs is like having Pub outside your bedroom. -

Left on 02/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012
When we arrived at the apartment there was a spare set of keys missing and stale milk left in a cupboard. Mugs, glasses and plates were also dirty. We expected more for what we paid!

We had a great stay in this apartment, It is very central to the town (2min walk) and the beach (5 min walk).
The apartment is very clean and exactly like the pictures on the website.
The bed was very comfortable, kitchen had everything that you could need.
We did have a few problems with internet but this was dealt with in a timely and efficent manner.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone..perfect.
Only thing to remember is it can be noisy in the mornings due to being next to main road but small price to pay for such a great stay

LondonGreat location, lovely apartment
Left on 03/10/2012 for a stay in January 2012
I stayed in this apartment for 6 weeks on an extended visit to Melbourne. I was pleasantly surprised that it came equipped with everything needed for cooking, cleaning and making yourself feel at home. The TV was huge and lounge was a comfy place to relax. The location is fantastic, being just a 2 minute walk to acland Street. The bedroom was of a reasonable size with a huge wardrobe that was more than big enough for my clothes and extra storage. Sometimes it can be a bit noisy at night from the cafe downstairs, but at the same time, it's a great place for breakfast. I cannot fault this apartment and really enjoyed my stay.

Left on 12/22/2011 for a stay in November 2011
The apartment was very well equipped and in a great central position with all the shops and restaurants two minutes away. The only downside was getting into the apartment. It was dark so reading the key code was difficult (take a torch if arriving late). We had been given the wrong code to collect the key. We managed to get through to someone who wasn't sure which apartment we were in and gave us another code which didn't work. After about half an hour we got the right code and apartment but meanwhile we were stuck out on the pavement with our suitcases and bags. This was our only complaint about the apartment.

Cambridge, UKCompact but handy
Left on 07/08/2010 for a stay in February 2010
Apartment was very handy for the main drag in St Kilda, including great shops and places to eat and only a short walk to the beach.
The standard of some of the fixtures were a bit basic. We had a couple of maintenance issues but both were sorted out during our stay.
There is no cleaning service provided in the rental cost, which I found unusual for this sort of let and the cost.
Could be noisy at night with revellers passing by, and also early in the morning with commuter traffic as near to a main road.

Fabulous apartment, stylish and modern decor, spacious comfortable rooms and even a coffee machine. I have already recommended this to friends, who have recently stayed in a 2 bed apartment ain St Kilda and were thoroughly impressed!
I am just trying to plan my next visit to Melbourne and will definitely be staying in one of the Espresso apartments. -

SydneyFantastic Location
Left on 07/01/2010 for a stay in January 2010
The location is the highlight of this rental property. Very close to many restaurants, public transport and only a short walk to the beach. The apartment itself is stylishly decorated, with modern appliances for added comfort. Check in was the only very minor problem with the system used to obtain the keys not as easy as perhaps it could be.
I would highly reccommend this property to anyone who is looking for a short stay in Melbourne and prefers to have some homely comforts instead of a tiny hotel room.Response from Espresso Apartments - 09/06/2011
