we stayed at the habitat qv apartment in melbourne for 5 days in june 2012 and throughly
enjoyed our stay there. the views and location are definitely worth the rate which in our case was $200 per night. the apartment was clean with there just being enough room for the four of us. even there is no front desk on the property the person who met us was very
pleasant and helpful.he showed us every feature of the apartment including the swimming
pool and car storage area. and being a short walk to supermarkets ,shops and transport
was a bonus. -

Great location ( close to Chinatown ) and downtown ( either walk 10mins or free tram 2 mins ). First room offered was smoky but happy with next room. Nicer to be higher ( at least 3rd floor ) so you get some sun. Staff are very good and pleasant to deal with.

Thanks so much for the feedback we are in the absolute heart of the CBD that location is actually beside the GPO which is always used as the central CBD location point. Its really great in Melbourne to have the option of trams on your doorstep ( free city tram) melbourne central or flinders st rail station on each side and you can walk everywhere.
We are a non smoking accommodation provider so if your first apartment was smokey thats not usual as we strictly dont allow smoklng and its banned in the building.

Super-central location on Elizabeth St means you can walk or take trams/trains/buses to everywhere and everything in Melbourne. The apartment is very clean, moderately spacious, has a good kitchenette, and comes with gym and pool access. Views from the top floor are also great. Requires more furnishing and more comfortable beds, and would make the apartment excellent value for a Melbourne stay.

We really appreciate the feedback and the bedding has now been upgraded. In regard to adding more furnishings we wanted to ensure we create a stylish fit out without clutter so we have recently engaged an intertior stylist to ensure our apartments have a style guide and inventory which caters for the business and leisure traveller alike.

We recently stayed at the Somerset on Collins and I can only say if you value great hosts (i.e. they will do anything to make your stay comfortable) then this is the place to stay.
The accommodation is basic, but you get everything you need for a short stay, and the price reflects this.
You can cook in the apartment - however the location is exceptional for central Melbourne, why eat in when you can eat out suiting any budget and cuisine?
The hosts responded to our every need and where quite frankly fantastic. 5 star service.
Don't stay at the apartments if you expect accommodation with all the frills, its clean, tidy and perfectly adequate. If you want finer things stay in one of the CBD hotels and pay a lot more.
Personally, I will be staying here again.
As a point of note I lived in Melbourne for 6 years.

Habitat Apartments has a few CBD locations you enjoyed the 250 Elizabeth St Apartments which are on the corner of Lonsdale very close to Lt Bourke St. We also have more locations and a variety of Deluxe and Standard apartments now so let us know when you return to Melbourne we would love to have you stay.

This place was so central, on tram lines, within walking to the main shopping district and lots of eateries around, what more could you want? Very clean, with everything we needed, the book in service was awesome and helpful. Believe me this is now the top of our places to stay in Melbourne which we visit often. Oh and the views!!!
