This classy 2nd floor apartment has one bedroom , one bathroom (built in robes ) and a Living/Dining area . The full kitchen sports stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher). The apartment has polished timber floor boards, high ceilings, tall picture windows, a wall heating unit, air conditioner and a full laundry. As a heritage building, the walls are very thick so that the temperature remains stable and comfortable year round.

I stay there for 5 nights. The apartment of itself is fine coz you can see that they are just re-constructed except for the old wooden floors inside the bedroom. You can not complain of the location because it's just in the centre of Mel. It is accessible to everywhere even by walk. Just two things I concern about, one of the apt beside me is doing construction every morning starts from 9...if you are a early bird, that's fine...but the smell will speard through the floor, if you are pregnant i strongly recommended to not stay here...it makes me exhausted. Also, there is no enough water coming through. May be we got 4 ppl?? I dunno...I called to Peter immediatedly and he said that we have to wait the next morning...so I take cold shower on one night, you must do it so qucikly when taking a bath. But with this price and location, you can not require something high standard.

Hot Water comment; This apartment is best suited for Two People, so when there is FOUR People staying in this apartment the Hot water will run out if everyone has a shower.
Just last month we have installed Double Glazzed Windows to this apartment as you did hear some street noise in the morning before. But NO More.

Great accommodation in Melbourne CBD

Great one bedroom apartment in the centre of Melbourne’s CBD. Close to main railway station, trams and a multitude of cafe and restaurants.
Apartment is very comfortable, located at rear of the block on second floor. Cooking facilities, free Wi-Fi. Only negatives, no view and a little noisy with garbage trucks. The garbage trucks arrived after 6.00am so if you are an earlier starter, then no problem, ear plugs did the trick
I certainly would stay there again. Friends rented a two bedroom two bathroom apartment in the same building and owned by the same person/company. Both apartments I'd recommend.Response from Peter Johns - 08/21/2012

In reply to this reveiw; Just last month we have installed DOUBLE GLAZZED Windows in this apartment to stop the noise from the trucks in the Morning. No Noise Now.

We had a fantastic weekend away. It has a great location to all of Melbourne's attractions.
The apartment was immaculate and was very clean and presentable. We had a wonderful tour with australian Coastal Mountain Tours visiting Warbuton and the Yarra Valley. We would defiantly stay again and recommend it.
