Newcastle, NSWHad a great short stay in Melbourne
Left on 05/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013
All excellent, especially appreciated flexibility to leave our luggage in the lobby on our last day.
One constructive criticism, the second bed was very soft, too soft for one of our couples to get a good nights sleep.Response from Katrina Harris - 05/09/2013
Owner
Sorry to hear one couple didn't like their bed. They are actually the same bed in both rooms, both quite new and good quality. First time someone hasn't liked them, but I guess you can't please everyone.

Our recent stay at Soho52 was wonderful. A quick walk to cafes and boutiques in Fitzroy and leisurely walks to Lygon Street with its amazing restaurants and to Bridge Road Richmond for some retail therapy. Even walked to Princess Theatre to see Jersey Boys. This was the perfect accomodation for 2 couples looking for a bit of "me" time.
Soho's modern decor thoroughly well planned for comfort. Highly recommended. -

Soho 52 was brilliant! We flew in from NZ and met some friends from Perth at the apartment - was a great place to hang out and catch up with friends and was close enough to town to walk in. Have recommended to my Mum for her upcoming trip to Melbourne

Soho52 proved to be home away from home, and thankfully on a very peaceful street close to the nightlife of Brunswick St.
It was great to have wifi included, which is essential these days.
Katrina was very helpful and accommodating, helping us out with our extra requirements. Always available and a pleasure to deal with.
We are planning to visit Melbourne again and definitely stay in the same place. -

Our family of four stayed at Soho 52 in mid January. This is the 2nd year running we have stayed at one of katrina's apartments (which is testament in itself). Soho 52 is a fantastic modern, well equipped apartment. The 2 bedrooms make this the perfect base for a family of four, two couples or even a romantic getaway. Though the apartment itself is great, what makes the experience all the better is the location. Of course the city centre is minutes away on the tram, however right on your doorstep is great shopping and eating in Brunswick, Smith & Gertrude streets. Fitzroy and Carlton gardens are also nearby. In summary you can't go wrong. Katrina is a fantastic host, Soho 52 has everything you could want (probably more) and everything Melbourne has to offer - be it north, south, east or west is easily accessible.

You can't beat the location of this flat right off Gertrude St. in Fitzroy. We loved going to De Clieu for coffee every morning and enjoyed the restaurants in the area, Enoteca, Ladro and Cutler & Co. The apartment was bright and modern, had a urban outlook, and was on a quiet street. We stayed over the holidays and Katrina has decorated with Christmas ornaments, a nice touch.

Perth, WAAnother great time.
Left on 01/06/2013 for a stay in December 2012
This was our second time staying in Melbourne at one of the groups apartments. We travelled with two children who shared the other double bed. The kitchen was well appointed with all utensils that you would need to whip up some family meals and the dining table was big enough so that some friends could join us for a meal. The location was fantastic, we walked to the museum and caught trams into the city, great for people with little ones. The decor was lovely and comfortable, my only gripe being that it was a little stuffy with no cross ventilation, so noisy in the morning if you have the windows open. There was an air conditioner available though so we just put the fan on to stir the air around. Overall a great place to stay which I have recommended to all my friends and family. Thanks again.

Left on 12/28/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, fast wi-fi, great location (quiet and convenient), secure parking, generous living room and cute balcony. The master bedroom is spacious but the smaller second bedroom has no external windows or ventilation; however, it does have a glass wall which allows light to penetrate. The accommodation probably suits a family better than 2 couples. Katrina was very responsive when notified that something was missing.

Left on 12/11/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Soho52 was absolutely amazing. Delightfully decorated (just loved the polished concrete floor), well equipped, very comfortable and in a fabulous location. Even though I'd looked at the map I didn't appreciate how well situated it was. Gertrude and Brunswick Streets at your door and the city only a short walk away. We recommend the retro burgers at Belle's Diner around the corner and the jugs of Pimm's at Wilde's on a warm afternoon. We'll definitively stay here again.

Left on 11/15/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Soho52 is excellent value and chic.
Our family of 5 stayed here for a couple of days. Easy transport to the city and surrounding areas. Some great cafes, pubs and restaurants around the with Melbourne Museum and the Carlton Gardens just a short (literally!) stroll away. Two memorable restaurants - the Trippy Taco (vegetrian mex) and lovely little Thai place just down from the Macca's on Victoria Parade.
The unit is stylish, comfortable and well layed out. The main bedroom, cool lovely bedding and fluffy towels, was a bit of a squeeze but the living area more than made up for this; spacious and bright.
Kitchen had everything for self catering with milk and crusty bread loaf on arrival - this unit had everything our family needed.
Thanks so much Katrina!

Hi, glad you had such a lovely time. When we put an extra bed in the main bedroom it's not as luxurious as when it's just the queen bed in there. Hope to have you guys to stay again! Warm regards, Katrina

Stayed three nights over the Cox Plate weekend. Lovely and clean and very quiet. Very comfortable, beds were great - I slept like a log!
Would definitely stay again. The location is superb as it is in walking distance of Melbourne CBD, Brunswick and Smith Streets. -

Left on 10/24/2012 for a stay in October 2012
This apartment is very centrally located. It is beautifully furnished, trendy, had a very well equipped kitchen (with lots of basics included), clean and spacious. It was also very quiet.
There were lots of nice little personal touches which showed that someone cared - like coloring pencils for the children, milk in the fridge and fresh organic bread.
We had a really enjoyable stay with our 2 children and will definitely be back.
Thank you Katrina for a wonderful stay!

So many great places nearby to eat, and drink. The trams are nearby as is museum and the best shopping in Melbourne. The unit is wonderfully finished with a magnificent kitchen and everything we could need. Was a great family friendly place to stay with great parks nearby and silent at night. A perfect base for our indulgent Melbourne stay!

Soho 52 was fabulous - perfectly located close to Brunswick and Gertrude Streets and an easy walk to the city tram. We stayed with our 3 children and there was plenty of space for everybody. Katrina has thought of every detail, right down to umbrellas for Melbourne weather! The apartment is beautifully decorated and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We really enjoyed our stay at Soho 52. The apartment is located in a very quiet street so it's perfect for relaxing and sleeping... and yet 5 minutes walk and you're in a vibrant and interesting part of Melbourne. I'm really particular about eating out and yet there was a multitude of wonderful places to choose from. Shopping was interesting with such an eclectic bunch of stores nearby. The free tram was within walking distance and voila... we were in town.
The apartment itself was airy and light, yet with character and charm. Beds were super comfy, kitchen well-stocked if you wanted to cook at home, and the general feel was like you could relax in comfort, read magazines and books from the shelves or step out to explore the neighbourhood. Thoroughly recommend staying at Soho! -

Wellington, NZStunning apartment in Fitzroy
Left on 08/22/2012 for a stay in August 2012
This is a little gem. A spacious, modern apartment with great kitchen/ dining/living open plan space, tucked in a small, quiet street just off Gertrude St - a cafe and design store destination.
We spent a lot of time exploring the streets and vintage clothes and record stores of Fitzroy, all within easy walking distance. Toddler friendly, although a party in the upstairs flat did keep us all up one night.
Great transport links too; you can catch the tram to St Kilda's from a stop just one minute from the apartment and very close to the free tourist city circle tram.
Would highly recommend for couples or small families, although note the stair access to apartment, so buggies or strollers need to be carried.Response from Katrina Harris - 08/22/2012
Owner
Thanks for that and I'm really glad you had a great time. This is a very quiet apartment block (the residents pride themselves on that) so it's unusual for there to be a party in one of the apartments. Hope everything else made up for that and more! Regards, Katrina

Where do I start? From beginning to end Soho52 did nothing but please! Katrina is absolutely fantastic to deal with, very quick to respond to all emails & questions. We were very happy from the moment we stepped into the complex! The apartment is everything plus more than what we expected! Very sleek & stylish, even better than the photos we saw! the interior is designed perfectly, we felt at home from the moment we stepped in. Katrina provided a lot of information regarding the apartment, the immediate surroundings as well as further afield! The apartment is situated in a perfect spot - near trams, trains or an easy walk to Fitzroy or the CBD! Fabulous!!would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Melbourne!

Immaculate apartment, well prepared with a great feel, in a great location, but a really quiet street. We walked everywhere. Close to the apartment are great restaurants, bars, designer and fashion outlets but it is also walking distance to the city, or a block to the tram.
