SingaporeA Home We Can Really Feel at Home :)
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013
In early March 2013, my family & I had a great holiday in Melbourne. And I'd say our stay at Kaori Villa contributed to the wonderful moments as well. Cozy & clean apartment, well-equipped with all the necessities for our family. There are even kids utensils & cutlery, and all the cartoon Dvds & board games which make my 2 littles ones so thrilled!
Location is excellent, minutes to Croydon Shopping Centre for all the grocery shopping. And the attractions eg. City area, Puffing Billy Steam Train, Mornington Peninsula & Phillip Island are all within reasonable distance.
And lastly, the hosts Lisa & Kees are so helpful and display great hospitality in welcoming us for the stay. They are always all smiles, even at 9pm when I called Lisa over to guide me on using the washing machine & dryer. What can I say? We have such lovely hosts that I feel kinda sad to check-out on the last day.
I'd definitely recommend Bungunyah apartments to anyone who's going for a holiday in Melbourne. It's really a home which we really feel so much at home!

Left on 01/25/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Self contained apartment will all facilities for cooking, entertainment and laundry, comfortably but not luxuriously furnished, showing some sign of age. Good airconditioning and heating. Excellent location for a base to explore the Dandenong ranges and Yarra Valley. Easy access to local shopping, eating and cinema and rail for travel to city. The hosts are extremely pleasant, helpful and attentive to guests' requests.
Would recommend for both couples and families and would definately stay there again. (Have family living less than 1 km away!)Response from Bungunyah Apartments - 01/25/2013
Owner
Thank you Colin for your kind comments & candid review. A new kitchen was installed only last year and early next month we are about to embark on the second stage of our refurbishment which will include renovating the bathroom and replacing carpets which should greatly improve any signs of aging or wear and tear.
We look forward to seeing you again.

We stayed at Bungunyah for the convenience of catching up with family and friends in the area. We found the property to be extremely peaceful and very well looked after. The Villa was equipped with everything anyone could ever need and tastefully decorated. Lisa and Kees were wonderful hosts and obviously have great pride in their property.
Highly recommended

Left on 10/19/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Had a great week staying at Bungunyah apartments for a friends wedding around the corner. One of the very few places to stay in the Far East of Melbourne that isn't a hotel/motel.
Fully equipped and would be perfect for families as there were lots of movies, kids games, magazines and books etc. Outdoor area was really neat, tidy and perfect for Bbq's
Very reasonable price for the standard and inclusions.

Quiet and relaxing set in beautiful gardens, this lovely apartment unit is comfortable and a great location to explore the surrounds. We all wanted to stay longer to appreciate all the unit had to offer and the decor was simple but elegant. I know where I'll be wanting to come back again with my whole family.

Loved Bungungyah! 2 young kids who loved it to. Warm, cosy, laundry with a dryer, and free Wifi. Amazing.
Easy reach of Melbourne CBD by train but also easy getting out to Dandenongs and beyond.
Good to have a car as would be a faff without one.
We did have the impression we might have acres of land to run in but only a small garden really. Still better than nothing.
We would definately recommend it to others be they a couple or a family.Response from Bungunyah Apartments - 08/25/2012
Owner
Thank you for your glowing review. Not sure why you would have thought you might have 'acres of land to run in'. In over 6 years of business we have never had anyone else make that comment. Bungunyah is located on 2 acres of land and we boast each villa has been built with individual gardens, highlighting we are not like a multi storey complex. The Kaori has a lovely private front garden and the rear garden is full of beautiful roses, daisies and other ornamental plants. The rear garden has been designed around an entertainment area with outdoor setting and BBQ. Thank you for your recommendation. Lisa & Kees

It was quite a stressful task organizing a group booking for the June long weekend Basketball Touranment until I stumbled across your accommodation. It was everything and more than we expected. It was very central to all the stadiums. The Team was able to room together in a homely but spacious environment. It will be an experience they will remember for a lifetime.
Thanks again -

Our family enjoyed its stay at Bungunyah appartments. It did not feel like we were staying in commercial accomodation at all. It was Christmas time and the Villa was aptly decorated. It was perfectly clean - and in all the places you would expect it may not be. The gardens were well kept and being up a right of way made it the perfect spot for restful days and quiet nights. Great setting and can only but highly recommend :D )

everythin ran like clockwork - the first time we stayed at the apartments we arrived late at night and we were told the key would be under the door mat and sure it was.
We thought the home very well appointed - it had everything we needed, including a plunger coffee pot and wi-fi connection. Great kitchen, good bathroom and comfortable bed all with a very pretty and peacheful outlook. Location
is great- close to the city and the bush and very tranquil. What I liked best was the taseful yet quirky decoration that give the place charachter. Nothing not to like.Response from Bungunyah Apartments - 12/22/2011

Bungunyah will always be my place to stay whilst in Melbourne. Stayed christmas 2009 in Cotton and there was 8 of us, and it had everything we needed, courtyard great for the kids. This trip was visting my grandfather and my daughter and I stayed in Kaori. The property is secure and we felt safe, facilities are excellent, plenty of towels, blankets etc. The villas are in a quiet location away from the main road and you have your own driveway and garage. I can't fault this propety and the property managers are welcoming and helpful.

It felt like luxury after spending the last couple of days in the Youth Hostel and sharing bathrooms and kitchens, to have our own villa to relax in was great. Lisa was a great hostess, and made us feel at home, the villas felt very private and we enjoyed our stay there enormously. Would definately stay there again if ever get the chance.

My mother and I were in Melbourne to visit her sister who is very ill, and Bungunyah apartments came up on a Google search as near my aunt's accommodation. We stayed for 3 nights and found both the accommodation and our hosts very good. Lisa assisted with a number of small but important matters. My Melbourne cousins were also impressed by the standard of the unit and are considering recommending it to other family members who may be visiting. The decor is simple and attractive, the unit was very clean and there was ample space for the two of us. Spotlessly clean, quiet and well positioned, these beautifully appointed apartments offered everything we needed (and more) on our recent holiday. The surrounding gardens are spectacular and offered a perfect place to wind down and relax. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable on the local area and offered great advice and suggestions on tourist attractions and places of interest.
The apartments are well positioned close to the beautiful Dandenong Ranges which we visited on our stay and an easy train ride into the wonderful city of Melbourne.
Bungunyah apartments was by far the best place we stayed on our short trip to Victoria. We will be back and will look forward to another wonderful and relaxing stay. -

Set back off a busy road, we were thankful for off street parking by the unit, the privacy and tranquility, the elegant grounds it afforded us, the peace, space and the well equipt amenities throughout the appartment. Lisa and Kees were friendly and obliging hosts, and have obviously put a lot of thought and care in creating this charming haven. Bungunyah Villas are completely self contained, a short drive to Croydons' shopping centre, and on the threshold of the Dandenong Ranges National Park. Having a toddler is always a difficult travel experience. We early in the evening and had an easy transition as a cot was already provided, including a mattress and linen, which made his bed just like home. Communications with the owners were always friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. The amenities were perfect for what we needed, including a backyard and even a playground next door. A few more pots and pans (baking dish, roasting tray etc) wouldn't go astray though. Overall we were very impressed and would definitely recommend these units to all.
