Description from the owner
1920s home in the Cooper Young neighborhood of Midtown Memphis. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and a couple of bars or to Tiger Lane and the Liberty Bowl. The home has a full kitchen, dining room, air conditioning, free private parking, and washer and dryer. There are no parking fees or cleaning fees.
Also, you have access to the dishes, utensils, condiments, cooking gear, etc so hopefully you'll only have to buy fresh ingredients for cooking. The Cooper Young neighborhood is called a lot of names. I hear trendy, bohemian, artsy, hip, and many more adjectives to describe it. Either way I love it. There are great restaurants to choose from all surrounding the intersection at Cooper St. and Young Ave. There is Soul Fish Cafe, Young Avenue Deli, The Beauty Shop, Do (like doe/dough) Tsunami, and Sweet Grass, just to name a few. Several of the locations double as a bar and Young Avenue Deli has pool and live music. Java Cabana is a nice little coffee house with poetry readings and great coffee. It is best to park free at my place and walk the 3 or 4 blocks to the various spots in town. Parking gets crowded in the evening as do the crowds.
