Description from the manager

This Lake Como villa is actually an old fisherman's house, located right on the lake shore. With terraces outfitted for dining or lounging, this Lake Como accommodation allows you to enjoy wonderful views or enjoy the company of your traveling companions. And with Menaggio nearby, this vacation rental on Italy's Lake Como is an excellent base for exploring the Italian Lakes area.

[80 m2] Arriving at this villa, it will be necessary to park your car just outside of the village and walk about 250 meters to the villa along a pedestrian road. The path is cobbled with steps that can be slippery when wet or icy; therefore this villa is not re...Read more

An unbelievable experience! The sensory experience was amazing. From the view, to the sound of the waves, to the wonderful breezes through the villa we loved it all.

The property was close to the water, in a beautiful little town. The property manager was anxious to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The villa was up to date and convenient, yet really maintained an old world feel.

The lower apartment was close to a public walkway, making it uncomfortable to leave windows and doors open at night.

While the cobblestone steps and walks were really old and quaint, I can understand the warning to those who may have physical difficulties. It was quite a hike with suitcases, but well worth it.

The whole group enjoyed the villa and all the outside terraces and balconies. The views from the villa were the best of the whole lake. This is an extraordinary property and extremely well run. We received fresh linens several times and the maid came to make up the bed in the living room on Monday. It was more wonderful than the pictures online.

The fabulous views from every room was a real plus. The well stocked kitchen and lovely terraces made us decide to spend more time at the villa than touring the lake. The little local store up the steps from the villa supplied great croissants in the mornings. The villa had everything one needs to enjoy a relaxing vacation.

The long walk to the villa and the crumbling stairs up to the main door. Also, one chair was broken on the terrace, but everything else was in great repair and extremely clean and the description explained the difficulty in reaching this villa.

We enjoyed the close location by boat from Menaggio to other cities particularly to Bellagio and Varenna. Our favorite town by far was Menaggio. We also traveled by car over the mountain from Menaggio to Lake Lugano and stopped at the local golf course. We also spent a day traveling by car to Lake Maggiore and the Bormean Islands. We took a day trip by train through the alps to St. Moritz. The train ride is on the World site list going from 400 meters to 7000 meters without the use of a cog rail. It was worth the hour drive to the train station in northern Italy
