Moore, OKOkies trip to Ca

We were thrilled with this rental. The cottage was very clean and well furnished, complete with cable tv. The views from the living room and bedroom are beautiful. The hike down to the ocean was an easy trail and gave us access to a nice little beach in a small cove. The large walk-in closet had plenty of space for luggage as well as hanging space. Ginny and Norm were so nice and provided plenty of information on the area and reviews on eating places.
We are a retired couple but I would recommend the cottage to couples of any age that enjoy a beautiful place with privacy. -

We spent two nights in this lovely private cottage. Wish it could have been longer. The ocean views can't be beat from both the living room and the bedroom. We even had a double rainbow over the water right outside the cottage. We loved watching the waves at the private beach just below the cottage. Really nice comfortable bed too. The left some really helpful maps and menus of nearby places to eat and get a drink.

The owners were very nice, showing us the cottage (they live right next door to it but it is private) and the trail to get down to the water. It was a very comfortable and clean cottage and nicely decorated. It was close to the road so did get some road noise but wasn't bad.

Romantic cottage near Mendocino
Jacksonville, OregonGreat place to stay near Mendocino
Left on 05/09/2012 for a stay in April 2012
My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this cottage in Mendocino. The cottage is about 3 miles from town so is convenient to stores and restaurants. If you have never been to Mendocino you have to go. It is a very scenic area.
Ginny and her husband were very helpful and showed us around when we first arrived. The cottage was very comfortable and has a fantastic view. It is just a short walk to the beach. Looking across at the island from the cottage was so scenic as the island had some large trees which made for a great silhouette at sunset . We would definitely recommend this to friends and family. We also had some very nice weather.
If there was one thing we missed it was a barbecue. We do not eat out every night so a barbecue would have made it easier for cooking and less mess. The owner prefers guests to only use the oven for baking but not for broiling. We had bought some lamb skewers in San Francisco and decided to heat them in a pan. A barbecue or broiler would have worked much better but we made due and still had a very enjoyable stay.
Don't wait! Book it now.

So many times you make a reservation sight unseen and find that the pictures and description given exaggerate the truth about the accommodations. In this case it was just the opposite! The setting, the cottage, the amenities and the views were as described and better. The view of the cove and ocean from the Living/dining room and the bedroom is spectacular. The hosts are wonderful, helpful, provide great information, yet afford the guests complete privacy. We loved our stay and hope to be back again soon. Definitely the best place we have stayed in the area. Located a short distance from Hwy 1, we could not hear the road whatsoever. They have constructed the cottage with two sets of double pane windows on the street side to mitigate any sound from the road.

Ginny greeted us and gave us the tour of our little cottage where we would spend the next two nights. She pointed out a fresh loaf of Mendocino Bread as well as a jar of berry jam. Nice! Another nice feature was the warming mattress pad on the bed. There is also an electric fireplace to create some nice romantic atmosphere.
Norm showed up the path that led to the beach trail. Both folks were friendly.
The Cottage is amazing!! Set on a bluff above a cove, everything looked just like the photos. The Cottage was very clean. The weather was delightful and one of the evenings there we had a glorious sunset. We walked down to the beach cove via the path Norm pointed out. It was easy walking. At low tide it was fun investigating the tidepools. I picked up lots of little limpet shells. We discovered a beautiful orange sea star in one of the pools. My husband climbed the island and enjoyed the view from the top, but he forgot to take the camera! We definitely will go back. It was such fun! -

Reno, NVCute, clean cottage with amazing views and beach access!
Left on 11/06/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This cottage was a perfect amount of space for the two of us. The cottage was decorated well and was nice and clean, not overcrowded with antiques or too bare like many rentals. The view and privacy from the cottage was wonderful as well - we sat and drank wine on the bench while enjoying the views, sounds, and smells of the ocean. Every morning, we awoke to the beauty of the private cove right outside our bedroom window. Probably the only downfall was no bathtub - a small price to pay for such a wonderful place to stay.

It is impossible to share in pictures how beautiful the views from this cliffside cottage are. It is a perfect place to stay for a couple. Very close to Mendocino, beautiful hikes, and an easy walk to a secluded beach. The owners were incredibly welcoming; they gave us the perfect amount of attention without intruding at all. We hated to leave.
