The check in was fine, small wait. Home did not quite match the web pictures and descriptions. While it was broom swept, it was very dusty, particularly the downstairs. Lots of spider webs, bugs, etc. Charcoal was strewn on the ground, a dock fender( bumper) was found in the woods, and attached to Dock by me. None of the rocks were marked, made for treacherous boat docking.Overheard lighting and Fans were pull operated by very thin strings.Porch couch was covered by a soaking wet blanket which dried by the end of the week.Despite securing trash cans, Bears spread trash all over the property over two nites, despite ropes securing the tops.Queen bedroom pillows were so disgusting, we went to TJ Maxx and purchased two pillows.Top of the steps bedroom, twin bedroom mattresses were so uncomfortable, guests slept on blow up bed. The location was fine, this property compared to 339 that we rented last year was not even close, and to add insult to injury 339 had aC,TV, and cost less money! Best thing about the place was the kitchen, after that It was like living in a tent.

Terrific location and the cottage was very comfortable and spacious. Outdoor time was difficult with the overgrowth in the yard.

Very clean and cozy home with amazing sunsets. Conveniently located close to downtown Meridith and surrounding attractions. The house has everything you need. The front porch is great for relaxing and dinnertime. Water is very shallow around the dock, which is good for swimming but not boating. The yard could use some TLC. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.

We had specific needs and our good recommendation is based on how well our needs were met. Your needs may be different, so you must make the decision based on the items in Preferred Rentals' description.
Good value/price for our following priorities: two bathrooms; beautiful sunsets over the town of Meredith across the bay; screened porch; relatively secluded/buffered from properties on either side: good bass fishing from dock (no guarantees-may be related to luck & time of year June 1-8); allows pets; fireplace; easy to get to town for shopping; canoe available (avoids need to rent one); room for visitors. We don't go swimming and don't have/use a motorboat/water skis and don't have kids and don't watch Tv-so we can't help you decide on the property if you do have these needs. Preferred Rental staff did a good job responding to questions. Stillmeadow Canoe in Center Harbor is a good place if you want to rent a kayak or rowboat. -

Enjoyed our stay here very much. Cottage was very nice. One drawback was the hammock in the back yard wasn't safe. When lying on it, it came off the hook and I fell to the ground. Fortunately, I wasn't hurt.
I think the cottage should have internet access, the canoe should be closer to the water.
As far as Preferred Rentals, your 3:00 check in should be moved up to 2:00 PM. Three o'clock is way too late for a check in given that we're paying for a full week and need to be out by 10:00 at the end. -

We found the location, and accomodations of #338 perfedt. The western view was beautiful, the activity(not too busy) on the lake was interesting to watch. Shopping and attractions were conveniently located.

Beautiful home - so clean and very roomy. Awesome screen porch - huge kitchen - quiet location. We thought we had found the place we would stay at every year. Unfortunately the crazy strong wind that came off the lake made it too cold and uncomfortable for much swimming, sunning, and fishing. The rocky shallow waterfront also made it difficult for boats to get in and out of the dock. Sadly we will keep looking for "the place."
