Casa Campestre is a lovely, modern mini-Hacienda style home in the quiet and convenient Campestre section of Merida, the beautiful, colonial capital of the Yucatan Peninsula. Very close to shopping, main transportation lines, and the historic old center of town, it is still a relaxed and secure neighborhood with avenues lined with large trees, parks and churches, etc.

Casa Campestre has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and an extra half bath off the covered patio in back. all of the bedrooms have mini-split air conditioners and all have ceiling fans. the house was purchased by the current owners in 2009 and was completed remodeled. i...t is built around a delightful interior patio, and has a living room, studio-den, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, rear patio with table and chairs, a small swimming pool with waterfall cascade. it comes fully furnished including linens, kitchen utensils, dishes, microwave, cable TV, WiFi internet, and more. there is covered parking for one car at the front of the house, and there is plenty of parking available along the street as well.

Casa Campestre rents for $US 600 per week, with discounts after two consecutive weeks. terms of more than one month will be granted additional discounts. the rental fee includes all utilities and weekly cleaning service, as well as gardening and pool service as needed. please ask for the complete photo album of this property.   We stayed at Casa Campestre for over a month. It was perfect! In a very nice neighbourhood, only 15 minutes by bus from centro. All three bedrooms have air conditioning and are beautifully furnished, as are all the other rooms. The pool was very much appreciated. Steve the owner was extremely accomodating and helpful. We highly recommend this rental property.

  A wonderful place to stay

  I stayed in this house with two friends for three weeks from Jan 31 to Feb 19, 2011 and found it to be almost everything I could have ever wished.
  The owner, Steve, has a formal manner and was very honest and reliable while always respecting our privacy. I arrived for the first 5 days of my stay alone and without any Spanish and Steve greeted me with at the house with some basics already in the fridge and showed me how everything worked.
  The house was big, clean and mostly very beautiful. The small pool was kept clean and it was in the very private and secure back court yard with a small table and chairs and a very comfortable hammock.
  The Internet was really well set up and Steve also set me up with a local cell phone which was very inexpensive.
  Although the house is not in the centre of the old district the centre is about 10 minutes on the city bus or taxi and about 45 minutes walking. There are pharmacies, cafes, bakeries and a fruit shop within a few streets of the house and supermarkets are about 10 - 15 minutes walk away.
  Merida as a town is safer than any comparable city in Canada or the us and the area the house is in is the safest part of Merida. I went out on my own to the local 24 hour store even after midnight without the slightest problem or concern.
  This house was an amazing value for the price the owner charges.
