A brief holiday with my daughter in law and another friend to one of my favorite places in Mexico. Casa Claire made it all easy and comfortable. Walk to the zocalo, shopping at local mercados, visits to museums. Found a great driver/guide for trips to Celestun, Vallodalid and Ek Balaam. We will return for more and longer.

From beginning to end, our experience at Casa Claire was positive. Our flight was delayed but Ruben, the property manager, was there waiting when we arrived. We received a warm welcome to a lovely casa in the heart of centro. Close to Plaza Grande, and the squares of Santiago and Santa Lucia, Casa Claire was the perfect location from which to explore Merida on foot. We enjoyed morning coffee on the roof top, watching flocks of parrots frolic in the palms, and evenings in the courtyard lounging near the fountain. There was a local cell phone available for our use - and high speed wireless internet. There is no television, which was a welcome relief for the 5 weeks we spent. The entire process of rental from start to finish was professionally handled. If you visit Merida and choose a casa instead of hotel, definitely consider Casa Claire. You won't be disappointed.

Casa Clarie is a beautiful, cosy home in the heart of Merida only a few blocks from Zocalo Principal. Almost everything is within walking distance so its a great location to explore the city from.
When you want to take a rest from the hustle and bustle of the city this artistically decorated casa has a very peaceful atmosphere. The authentic elements of old Mexico have been preserved but all the necessary modern conveniences, such as stove, frig, bathrooms, water pressure,lighting and electrical outlets are completely modern and up to date. The kitchen, bedding and bathroom linens are well supplied.
With exception of the bedrooms there is an open air feeling as a section of the living room is open to the outdoors from the open roof patio upstairs which is accessed by a spiral staircase.
The back bedroom is quiet and cosy. The front bedroom is exposed to more street front noise.
Claire's contact in Merida was very helpful and available.
All in all I would highly recommend Casa Claire if you are planning a trip to Merida.

we spent almost a month at Casa Claire this past winter and were most pleased with the entire experience. The house is incredibly comfortable, the location is excellent and we were welcomed and assisted by Ruben who speaks English fluently. As a side note, we lost our tourist card and in desperation, emailed Ruben for help and he completely solved the problem over a period of three visits to Immigration and rescued us from what could have been a totally ruined holiday. In short I totally recommend this casa as a perfect holiday rental...my great regret is that it may not be available again the next time we wish to visit Merida.
