Located close to everything in historic Merida, the home has recently been renovated to a very high standard and has amazing furnishings.
2 Master Suites with king beds and 2 further guest suites, one with a double bed and one with a twin bed.
The home has a refreshing pool set in a romantic garden and a wonderful roof garden with views across all of Merida.
Many special services, such as a personal cook and an english speaking driver are available through the property manager.

I have stayed in many rental properties throughout eastern/ western Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico and in the U.S.. After a thorough search of many nice properties in Merida, when I found this one, I thought it was too good to be true. In part because there were no reviews. Still, we booked it for three persons. Leeann is an excellent agent and the photos accurately depict the property. It is located on a quiet street, 4 blocks away from the Grand Plaza in the Historic District. What one does not get from the photos, is the feel. It is spacious! In it's grand scaled rooms, the design team achieved an intimacy in every room despite ceiling that soar to 8 meters (24 four feet) in the formal areas. You are surrounded with luxury, well chosen furniture/fabrics, an electic mix of modern and traditional. Beautiful accents pieces, well chosen, quality art/prints, hi-end kitchen appliances, amazing wood work everywhere, especially the grand scaled interior doors which also offer a practical functionality. Ceiling fans throughout, superior bedding and amazing showers. Beautiful, intricate pasta tiles appear everywhere. The bustle of the urban enviroment disappears as soon as you step through the front door and in the courtyard with it's soaring limestone walls, textured with so many variations, exposed stone, raked stucco and several others is a treat to the eyes. The plunge pool is delightfully cooled to a refreshing temperature. As for the lighting, this place is perfect. Dimmers exists on nearly every switch and the light fixures/archway in the courtyard successfully intigrate the moorish influence with some creating dazzling displays. Even with a beautiful city to explore we hardly left the first day and half. The roof terrace, nearly five stories up offers towering, fantasic pananomic views of the city. From the master, I fell asleep with my eye towards the lit Cathedral in the Grand Plaza. In short, look no further, you found the perfect Merida colonial.
