We are located on Banana River with access to your own private dock from your backyard and your own private 26,000 gallon pool. The view across the river is beautiful both day and night. The night view from the back yard of Cocoa Beach skyline is so beautiful reflecting off the river. The Sunrises and Sunsets are Spectacular!

This very nice 2 story home boasts 2800 sq ft of living space (5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths) with a two car garage and your very own Private deep water boat dock. It is perfect for your Family get together. The home is decorated with the island charm. This is a Pet Friendly property. There is plenty of room in t...he fenced in back yard for your pet to play and join you with the outside activities at the pool or dock. It is nestled in the heart of Merritt Island and with all of the natural beauty right at your doorstep you will forget you are only minutes away from Cocoa Beach, local sightseeing, numerous restaurants and local shopping. You may witness shuttle or rocket launches from your own back yard.

The second story balcony overlooks the beautiful Banana River with miles of fishing and recreation areas. This truly is a fishermen and boaters paradise. You will see extraordinary sunrises and the sparkling lights of Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral. You must see the Beautiful Sunrises from the balcony of the 2nd floor Master Suite. Watch as the Cruise ships come in and out of the port. You are reminded that they are getting ready to depart when you hear their horn blast at 4:30 pm.

The Central Florida theme parks are just a forty five minute drive from the island. The port shopping and dining experience is a must. Beautiful Cocoa Beach, historic Cocoa Village, golf, tennis, charter fishing, wildlife preserves, birding trails, county, state and national parks are also just minutes away.

This is the most perfect, private gathering spot to see the launches from Kennedy Space Center, as you grill outside and swim in the huge private pool. Lounge around the pool enjoying the view or you can watch the kids play in the pool from your own private master suite cabana located directly above the pool. You can fish right off of your own private 135 ft seawall or private dock. Some fishing poles are provided. The dolphin are 'always' swimming right at your pool deck and the manatee swim slowly by daily. You will see schools of fish meandering about while you watch the osprey dive for a snack.

You may even have the company of a Blue Heron that likes to fish off the dock, day and night. The Dolphins and manatee love to play nearby and you might even see them catching their dinner right off the seawall.

The water right at the sea wall will accommodate any pleasure boat up forty feet in length and shore power is available. Kelly Park which is only a mile away is a perfect place to launch your boat.

We have provided for your pleasure a 'ganoe' for sightseeing or fishing. We also have included 5 Monterey Sport Kayaks for the family to explore around the island by water. Life preservers, seat cushions and paddles are included. Boat, jet ski and wind surf rentals are only a mile away as well.

It is May 2013 and we have just remodeled the back yard with a new seawall, changed the landscaping, resurfaced the pool and added Mahi and flying fish tiles to the bottom of the pool and installed additional seating in the pool. Then it is all topped off with a new pool deck of Travertine. Oh is it georgous. It is a must see.

This home is located at the end of a culdesac on the Banana River. Port Canaveral is 5 to 10 min away. You can view the cruise ships from the balcony of our home. You can also enjoy many of the restaurants at the port. There is dining inside and outside. you can watch the boats and cruise ships when dining outside at most restaurants. You can also enjoy the Historic Cocoa that is located at the bridge coming into Merritt Island. There is a lot of Cocoa history and fine dining for the entire family and also plenty of shopping to enjoy.

  Spent a week here with family of 5 plus grandparents. Plenty of room. Lots to do. Surfing lessons, cape Canaveral, Kayaking, Zoo ziplining. Had a wonderful time. Great house. Great location.

  Our family had a great time staying at this home on vacation in 2011 and have booked again for 2013!!! We found it to be very clean and very nicely decorated. It was well stocked with everything that we needed. We spent most of our time in the pool, which really is as big as it looks! There were plenty of water toys for the kids, which was great. For us, it was the perfect location...a short drive to all sorts of attractions, restaurants/shopping and to the beach, but private (which was just what we were looking for)! We have a small family, with just two young children, but it is very large and can easily accommodate a large group without everyone having to share space. The owners were great to work with. We would highly recommend this rental home!!!

  Spectacular Vacation Rental!

  Located on a quiet culdesac this home was the perfect rental for our group of 4 couples. The kitchen/dining/family room was large enough for all of us. The remodel of the 2nd floor is very nice and we selected this home because 4 of 5 the bedrooms had king/queen size beds. The driveway and garage was perfect for storing our 35 foot toy hauler and the motorcycles for bike week. We saw dolphins swimming nearly every morning during our 7 day stay. The pool area and view of the river was amazing - especially enjoyable were the sunrises which were easily viewed from the upper balcony sun room. We would definitely consider this rental again in the future!

  A Perfect anniversary Celebration

  To celebrate our 50th anniversary, my husband and I wanted a house in a warm, safe and pleasant place, large enough to accommodate comfortably ourselves, our four children and their spouses, and our five grandchildren, ranging in age from seven to two. Because we are a family that loves boating, fishing, and swimming, the location on the water, with a pool, was very attractive to us. We also like the location of a dead-end street, that made playing in the front year, with the many toys provided by the owners, fun and safe for young children. We were concerned that between the house and the canal at the back of the house there was only a slender strip of grass. For that reason, when the children were near the canal and the pool, we required them to wear life preservers and to be carefully supervised. Our fearless toddlers enjoyed riding in the canoe provided by the owners and fishing from the dock, and our two-year-old was very excited when he caught a fish. The house was perfect for us. The large, well-appointed kitchen made it easy for us to prepare large, elaborate meals. There was room to serve 15 people at several tables, including a small table for the four toddlers. The house is well-provided with large, wall-mounted flat screen Tv's, with DVD players; mostly they kept the children happy with episodes of "Wonder Pets." We did have warm enough weather to enjoy the beach and even for the bravest members of our party to take dips in the pool However, during a record-breaking cold snap, we appreciated the efficient central heating system. Nearby there were attractions the children enjoyed: Cocoa Beach, The Dinosaur Store, and the Brevard Zoo. Two families went to the Space Center, but found the long lines difficult for the children to endure. We enjoyed dining with the children on the Cocoa Beach Pier. Adults found Merritt's Table a good choice.

You all made the best of your time by getting around to visit many sites in our area as well as in our own back yard. The house was well taken care of during their stay.   The Best of Both Worlds

  Do we or don't we stay right on the beach? We chose this wonderful option and had the best of both worlds...the sand and the grass as well as the ocean and the pool. But our experience and enjoyment was by far the best on Banana river. Our yearly reunion with our two adult children, their spouses and the four grandchildren was one of the best yet. The pool provided hours of fun; even after returning from the 15 minute drive from our outings on the beach. We fished from the dock and all claimed the biggest catch; we rented a pontoon boat for a day and enjoyed a picnic lunch on one of the islands, we never tired of watching the daily parade of the dolphins that sped past the dock as they chased their next meal, we captured many pictures of the great blue heron that magically appeared whenever we got the fishing poles out and during it all we agreed that it was the best week...ever. The house is everything and more. One day, there were 20 of us for an even larger family reunion and it never felt crowded. That day provided photos that will be cherished for years. Choosing which colorful bedroom for was one of our hardest decisions all week. The kitchen was a dream to work in and had appliances that I wish I had in my own home. I loved my morning coffee sitting out on the deck while watching the awesome sunrise and we all gathered there in the early evening to enjoy a wonderful breeze. The Hendersons have thought of everything to make any family have a most memorable week. We lacked for nothing and will be forever grateful for all that was gained during our stay in their home. My son-in-law was especially trilled to find out that a world class wind surfer was right down the street and was available to give a lesson and the two youngest grandchildren were excited that Disney was just an hour away. And at the end of the week, we were all happy that enough fish had been caught to provide us with a delicious fish fry. The week far exceeded my expectations...which were very high to start with. I am most grateful for having the week to enjoy my family all under one roof and there is no doubt that we will return.

  I am lost for words. This review brought tears to my eyes to know that this family not only expierienced but has expressed to us the happiness they felt while staying at our property. Thats all i wish for from my guests. I want them to experience what I have when I stay here. Its most enjoyable and relaxing. It was a pleaseure to meet this family and my daughter and myself loved the opportunity to speak with them.
