BEST TIMES TO VISIT
September through April, Phoenix enjoys mild and pleasant weather. Autumn is perhaps the best time to visit, although if you visit in the spring you will be able to witness the many festivals that are held around that time.
Autumn and Spring time sees pleasant days with temperatures in the 70-80°F range, sometimes up to 90. After sundown however the temperature can drop and occasionally may even go down as far as freezing in the very early hours.
The occasional rain shower or cloudy day can also be expected at this time of year. However when you consider that Arizona boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year, chances are the clouds will not last long.
Those who are brave enough to visit in the summer (July thru August) can expect temperatures above 100°F (38°C) for weeks at a time, it is not uncommon for the temperature to hit 110°F (43°C) in midsummer.
The common expression; and you will see it on bumper stickers t-shirts and so on is "Arizona - it's a dry heat". Well dry it may be but the month of August is HOT. Think what it is like when you open an oven door and you are standing too close and you will have some idea. The heat takes your breath away, with almost zero humidity. Even so if you are out in it for too long it becomes tiring. You will find that most residents tend to do very little outside at this time until sundown.
Beware also because Summer is also monsoon season (July), when following the heat of the day the end of the afternoon will see the emergence of sudden thunderstorms complete with flash flooding. The view from Diamond Point Retreat overlooking the Valley however is well worth the visit.

VancouverHigh end Tuscan Luxury
Left on 11/22/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We have stayed here twice now. The first time in the Villa which is a very cozy 1 bedroom with a private patio in a beautiful community. This was a great weekend getaway that was well worth the price. We came back with visiting family and stayed in the Villa and Flat. There were 14 of us total and we had a great time. The place has top of the line everything and the estate managers were very helpful and professional. This is a private estate and the villa and flat are on their own levels. We never saw the estate managers or any other guests during our stay. This is the nicest property we have stayed at and well worth the money.
