Amidships which is situated just outside Mevagissey is a ground floor cottage that sleeps six people in four bedrooms and has two bathrooms. The cottage also has an outdoor swimming pool. Amidships is situated close to the pretty village of Mevagissey and has been furnished to a high standard with welcoming, light and airy rooms. This ground floor cottage offers superb accommodation for six people and has four bedrooms - one single with ensuite shower, another single bedroom and two double bedrooms. There is also another bathroom, a well equipped fitted kitchen, dining room that leads to the music room and a sitting room that has an electric... fire in a feature fire place. The music room leads out onto the large lawned rear garden that has a covered pond and furniture, which is perfect to dine and relax after a busy day exploring the area. The added bonus to Amidships is the fabulous outdoor swimming pool, which makes the cottage perfect for families or groups of friends. Mevagissey has many shops and pubs, plus a sandy beach which makes Amidships an ideal base to visit the many attractions nearby.

Amenities: Oil central heating with electric fire in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Outdoor swimming pool (fenced from garden for safety); 28' by 15', 4'6" constant depth. Off road parking for three cars. Large lawned rear garden, accessed from music room, with covered pond and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 0.5 mile. Note: Due to pond and swimming pool, children must be supervised. Note: Steep hill down to village, can take longer walking back up!

Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Town: Mevagissey is a lovely Cornish fishing village with its cobbled streets, harbour, cliffs and sandy beaches. The village has many pubs and restaurants and very nearby is the popular attraction of Lost Gardens of Heligan. Nearby is the Tall Ships harbour and shipwreck museum at Charlestown, which is just seven miles away and eleven miles away is the world famous Eden project. The Roseland Peninsula is a short drive away and has a breathtaking coastline, fantastic beaches and gardens. The attractions of Mevagissey Aquarium and The World of Model Railways are also worth visiting. A half an hour's drive away is the city of Truro, which has shops, restaurants, a theatre and cathedral. There is so much to see and do within this part of Cornwall at any time of the year.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  This house had everything you could wish for on a summer holiday. Mevagissey is a lovely traditional seaside resort, and we were in a good position to walk in whenever. The owner had left us a beautiful welcome pack and the flowers lasted all week. One thing for the future, if the pool was heated it could be used all year, but during our week, the temperature barely rose above 18 deg. Mind you the vendor can do nothing about the weather and it was the coolest summer on record!

  Really great pool at this average holiday home

  Without doubt the best thing about this holiday rental was the pool, it was a good size, very clean and fenced off. Although the bungalow itself was generally well equipped and comfortable it was a little tired in places having undergone some DIY over the years. However the newly refurbished bathroom was spot on. One nice touch was on arrival, we found a delicious home made cream tea awaiting us which was a lovely treat and a great welcome! The bungalow is situated in a fairly quiet part of Mevagissey, up a very steep hill. Mevagissey itself is a nice enough little place, with a decent selection of eateries and shops (especially the Fountain Inn) but there were a number of closed/closing businesses and shops in the village centre that gave it a slightly run down feeling. Near by Fowey is more bustling and vibrant.
