A return visit to Mexico Beach - we had this already in the works as we pulled out last year. Another relaxing time of fishing, beach walking and eatting seafood! Nobody wanted to leave!

Leesburg, Ga.Pleasantly surprised !
Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in April 2013
My family booked this room at the last minute. We had never stayed in Mexico Beach so we really didn't know where to stay. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The location was perfect. Parking was no problem, and the pavement literally dead ends at your unit and the ocean is maybe 100 yards away. Our unit was clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. No high rise and no long waits on elevators. Also, Mexico Beach seems to be more family oriented. I did not see any unruly teens or wild partying. If that is what you seek, you may want to try Panama City Beach. If I get the chance, I will definetely go back. The only negative to me is there is no trash chute at the condo. You must carry your trash thru the parking lot to a container located behind the building. All in all, a very good experience.

Shawneetown, ilWhat great views!!!
Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My husband and I stayed in condo 11 at Surfside. What a great condo!!!. We enjoyed the views and everything about those 3 days. We had great sea food at "Killer Seafood" and the weather was sunny and in the 80's everyday. We really enjoyed watching people fish off of the pier and we saw a wedding on the beach. My only negative comment is there is a very small pool that not even children could swim in. Also were was the dumpster??? We didnt have a place to dump trash bags. But we loved our time there and the unit was clean and well equipped with anything a family needed.

This was a last getaway before getting back into the 'school' routine. . . . .exactly what was needed. Sand, Sun, Swimming, Seafood.
The boys enjoyed fishing from the pier, even caught quite a few fish.
Condo was perfect, great view from the balcony looking towards the pier.
We did not want to come home!! Will be back again for longer stay. -

Only problem is the size of the pool, would not even classify it as a pool, but a large hot tub.
Unit was very clean and well furnished. Liked the fact that Forgotten Coast Realty did not require a security deposit - and did not require us to clean the place before we left -like most other realty companies in Mexico Beach.
Will definitely try to rent through Forgotten Coast in the future years. -

Room with the double bed was extremely small. Pool was so small it may as well not existed. We did not know where to empty our trash. Knowing the dupster was for our trash was a guess. I did not experience any service. We were there for four days and tropical storm Lee was there the whole time. Because of Lee we could not go into the gulf. Along with my wife, we traveled with two friends. We were told to park anywhere, but if you parked anywhere other than the first row you were taking the chance that someone would park in back of you and block you in. We could not get reception on our cell phone and wifi reception on our laptop was intermittent. The place was clean and well stocked.

Direct gulf location and one of the closest buildings to the beach. Pool was a lifesaver. Elevator a bonus. Lovely porch to admire views of the pier and beach. Good location close to restaurants, shops & grocery.

The condo was well maintained, comfortable, and clean. The management company was nice, helpful and very responsive. I would suggest an interior lock on the door like the hotels. It was difficult to tell if the door was locked.

Great place to stay if you don't want the tourist trap role. Nice "laid back" environment with lots of room on the beach. The unit was very clean and had all of the needed supplies except extra trash bags. Great location immediately "on the beach". Will definitely return at every opportunity.

Our stay at the condo was fabulous! It was stocked with all the essentials. We had all the supplies for a home away from home. Anything we could think of was already provided.
We had an excellent view of the beach and the pier from the balcony. The condo had very convenient access to the beach and an outdoor shower to wash away the sand after the beach trips. The only downfall, if any, was the pool is no bigger than a hot tub. We didn't think twice about the pool since the beach was so accessible.
The staff at Forgotten Coast was amazing. We called and left a message after hours and promptly received a call back the next morning. They were more than willing to answer any questions we had regarding the rental. Check-in was a snap. The lady (I wish I remembered her name) was very friendly and helpful. She provided recommendations for places of interest while we were in Mexico Beach. I would rent from Forgotten Coast anytime and will be sure I do again soon! -

Woodstock, GACleanest Beach Rental I've ever stayed in
Left on 06/26/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The condo was one of the cleanest beach rentals I've ever had. I was very impressed with the kitchen supplies-good quality pots, plenty of dishes, and almost everything I needed for cooking. (This is very rare for a beach rental in my experience.) The view from the balcony was just as advertised-just gorgeous. The condo, while small, was perfect size for our family of four (kids are 1.5 & 4). I think with older kids it would be more difficult. The walk to the beach could not be easier, even hauling the wagon full of kid stuff was not a big deal.
Now for the cons: As one previous reviewer noted, the pool is no bigger than an oversized hot tub. Still refreshing, but tiny. Again, sufficient for my little ones but older kids will not be happy. The other con is the location. 38th St is busy and crowded. Lots of people constantly walking past and loading and unloading below the balcony. Not as private as I have been used to in HHI.
Overall, rental experience was good. -

Fitzgerald, GeorgiaClean and nice but not for kids
Left on 04/28/2010 for a stay in April 2010
The condo was very clean and well kept. The problem was there was only 1 tv in the living room. There were no tvs in either bedroom. I had two children there that normally fall asleep with the tv on. It never occurred to me that there might not be any in the bedrooms. The condo is really small and there is no access to the balcony (which is ocean side not ocean front) from the master bedroom. The pool is tiny. It is the size of a large hot tub. Which is also not good if you have kids. Also bring your own trash bags. You will be responsible for taking all trash out when you leave and the kitchen trash can did not have a trash bag in it when we got there. We will not be staying at this condo again.
