Loves fishing
Gadsden ALGreat fishing
Left on 05/01/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We loved the area and the convenience to the beach and pier from our rental. My husband and I love to fish and they were biting when we were there.Mexico Beach is a beautiful and relaxing place without the large crowds of some beaches. We were, however, disappointed with Our Cottage. The beds were uncomfortable, the floors and shower were not clean, the back door was shattered and was never fixed during our stay.(13 days). There were other issues like being hot upstairs and the shower being in a large tub with steps on the side that took some effort to get in and out of safely. I do believe that Forgotten Coast Realty is an excellent business and I don't think this property is typical of the properties they represent.

I loved the way Our Cottage was decorated, very tasteful but...
Need dish towels in kitchen
Bed in master br needs to be replaced, squeaks every move
Curtains need to be insulated, very hot when sun comes thru
a higher privacy wall would be nice on deck
Don't understand why washing machine was not fixed before renting to us since last renter reported it...
But very close to beach and love the big tub/shower -

Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I'll start with the good. The location is outstanding and it is pet friendly. The beach and pier were just a short walk away as is the convenience store where we got our coffee each morning. The unit itself was pretty clean although we did find some potato chips under the twin beds when we pushed them together to make one bed.
Now the not so good. The wireless Internet we were promised was unavailable the entire 4 night stay. We reported it to the management company and they said they would send someone over to fix it. That never happened. The washing machine was also broken so we could not wash our towels. What a bummer.

We loved our cottage. It was so spacious and I was surprised that the kitchen was so well stocked with utensils and supplies. The decoration were perfect and we were close to everything. The only recommendation I have is the master room bed was incredibly hard and squeaked every time to turned over. The pullout couch mattress was not comfortable either. I would definately try to book again.

The condo was great except for one thing. The bed in the master squeaked so bad we could not get any sleep. If you moved your arm it would squeak. Very annoying. Other than that the condo was nice and very close to the beach. The floors could have been a little cleaner, they were pretty dusty. And the back deck needs some TLC.

Service was great! Very short walk to the pier and beach! No privacy in back yard; would suggest privacy fencing. House was extremely hot when we arrived...took forever to cool down, but did eventually. The couch bed needs replaced very badly!
Overall, was not bad. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit as we always do when visiting Mexico Beach! -

Thanks for a great vacation at Mexico beach, Florida. We love the comfortable beds and lots of room that Our Cottage provided. Easy walking distance to the beach & Pier. My teenagers fished off shore and pier everyday. The cottage had everything we need for an enjoyable stay.

Overall great experience! There are a few nails on the deck that need to be knocked back down, also the fireworks display was lovely, but also damaged my car parked in the lot. Clean, and easy access to the pier and beach...wonderful weather!

Ridgefield NJgood beach location
Left on 08/21/2011 for a stay in August 2011
rental was clean, convenient and easy beach access.,
the only issue--the parking area turns into a teen/skateboard hang out--they were out there quite late, drinking and running car radios and revving engines. The morning would find litter, beer cans and vomit in the parking area. This was the spoiler for the location. -

Our family really enjoyed the stay this year at Mexico Beach. Our Cottage was a great place to stay. It got warm in our room by atfernoon with that evening sun beaming in those sliding glass doors, but we made it with our fans going. The fireworks were spectacular this year!!! We will see you again next year I'm sure.

The townhouse was very nice and accomodating. The upstairs rooms were very hot and they left notes to leave aC on 80 but impossible with the heat. Great access to beach and they love pets!! I was allowed to bring 3 small dogs. Places to eat was very limited but I recommend the Fish House for sure. Thanks for a great vacation and very peaceful. Great Fishing from the pier. Great Sunsets.

Left on 05/11/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Loved the location next to the Mexico Beach Pier. And the town is so laid back and relaxing. However, the dogs came home with fleas and the furniture and floors need to be replaced (they seemed worn and dirty). A/C didn't work upstairs, TV remote didn't work or DVD player.

This condo is just steps away from the public pier. We spotted lots of dolphins and numerous fished from the pier. My son fished in the pier and actually caught three fish-it was a great experience!

Left on 03/03/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Our Cottage is a cute 2 bedroom duplex/condo at Mexico Beach in Florida. It was comfortable for the 2 of us and we are planning to go back with our daughters. Very clean too. The check-in/check-out process was painless and the staff was very helpful from the beginning.
The location was awesome. We parked in front of the unit and walked to the Pier which is just next to the parking area. There's also a gas station in walking distance if you need to buy something at the last minute.
My only concern is that while the lower level was cool and comfortable (it was a warm February), the upper level (bedrooms) was a bit warm for our comfort. The bedrooms have ceiling fans so we were able to deal with it. But I can imagine the unit been hot during the summer.
Nevertheless, we would love to go back! We'll bring an extra fan if necessary. :) -

Left on 08/08/2010 for a stay in July 2010
Loved being right next to the pier. The beaches were beautiful (our 1st time to Mexico Beach) Town house was very clean and comfortable.Within walking distance to some great restaurants. Only draw back was the pier is obviously a hang out for teens and it got quite noisy at night until around midnight. Would have been nice to have access to a pool, and if I had my grandchildren w/ me I probably would not rent here for that reason...however for my husband and I(who are die hard beachbums) it was perfect. Most relaxing vacation we took thus far this year. (and we even spent a week in Jamaica!!)

Left on 08/05/2010 for a stay in July 2008
We was there 2 years ago, had a great time. Nice cottage and close to the beach. We want to return one day. We planned on to stay there this last week, but with the oil spill we did not want to take a chance. If the oil would of reached the beach close to our date to arrive. Everything else would of been booked. So maybe next year. Again great Cottage to stay in, very cute set up.

Left on 08/21/2009 for a stay in June 2009
the property that our family rented was clean and neat. the only thing that bothered us were the stairs. we almost killed ourselves a few times coming up and going down those things. the beaches were beautiful and clean, and the showers at the end of the pier were a godsend. the problem with this property is it doesn't face the beach, it faces a parking lot that has public access to the pier. this parking lot was full most of the time and it was difficult at times to find a space in front of the cottage. the sevice that we received was outstanding and all in all, we had a good time.

LaGrange, GALittle updating could go a long way
Left on 08/13/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The home was very charming, but could use a little updating to improve the stay. I would recommend better quality linens for the beds and updating the flooring(linoleum is very inexpensive) and bathrooms.Maybe new blinds. I would also replace the wooden boards on the front porch and back deck with another composite material to maximize the life and minimize the risk of splinters. (There are many types available that do well in the salt air.) Color scheme was good and the home had lots of "needed" items (cups, blender, can opener, etc.). Overall it was a very good experience, but I wouldn't rent it again uless those items were addressed.
