We own a condo in the Shelborne Hotel and Beach Resort (It's a Condo Hotel). The Shelborne is right in the middle of South Beach Directly on the Beach. Just 2 Blocks to Lincoln rd right on 18th and Collins. The exact address is 1801 Collins Ave, Unit 910 MIami Beach FL 33139. It's an easy walk to Lincoln Rd or the convention center. The beach is behind the hotel. There is a great Heated pool, night club, restaurant and gym right in the hotel.

I stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony overlooking the ocean. That was the only good thing about this place. The management/staff of SunSpot Rentals is plain rude and non-responsive to any issues. Be warned!
- No inspection of the room prior to arrival - turned out that the blinds were broken. the guy took the blind down "saying that he needed to fix it for the owner", and 3 nights we had no blinds (yes, we were awaken at 5 am by the rising sun). After the 3rd night, I called the dude and literally cursed him out - he said "I told you I was going to try"... So he brought the blind back (still inoperable) and just stuck it in. Yes, your trying doesn't help the guests, does it? He was absolutely rude, dirty, pants falling down and showing his behind.
- Only one key was available to the guests, upon inquiring when an extra key would be provided, the staffer told me that "he will try", or I can have a spotty housekeeping key. We stayed for 5 nights, and never received the a second key, even after calling on the 3rd day.
This place looks 10 times worse than in their advertised pictures, so I am sharing some of my own.Response from SunSpot Miami Rentals - 05/08/2013

I'm sorry you had problems with the window blind in your room and that your request for a 2nd key wasn't met in a timely fashion. With that being said calling the office and politely requesting something will always get you faster service then calling and "Cursing out" our handyman.

Great location in MB but the room was a nightmare. The air Conditioning unit, mounted in the ceiling of the closet, leaked when it was run and created a pool of water on the floor every day. Justin, was very responsive and helped solve almost all of the problems. Bottom line is that no matter how great the management contact is, if the place is a disaster there isn't much they can do to fix it!

I highly recommend SunSpot Miami Rentals. They are very professional. And the Shelborne is a prime location with great amenities. Is the room itself amazing? No. Is that where I spent my vacation? No. You cannot beat the pool and beach privileges. To have two beach chairs, towels and an umbrella...that is luxury. And the pool (with chairs and towels) can't be beat.
The beds were very comfortable and the linens clean and new (plenty of towels). My wife and I kept the fridge stocked with snacks and stuff. We used the TV, iron, hairdryer and toaster (didn't need the microwave). The view was amazing. The patio was great for watching the sunrise or the cruise ships steam out of the harbor.
This ain't the Ritz. And the doors (on all the rooms) were noisy to open and close. But all we did in the room was sleep and shower. The SunSpot office did a great job getting my reservations set up. They were attentive while I was there. And all the transactions were professional and had e-mail confirmations.
I'd gladly stay with SunSpot Miami Rentals again. Thanks guys! -

Service very efficient. Home is perfect. Location is on the beach with umbrella and chairs included in the price, free access to internet and perfect organization. No need for a car. Beatiful swimming pool available.
Needless to say: the best is the beach and the sun. -

Pese a que me habian contestado de Sunspot en julio-agosto que habian finalizado los arreglos, el edificio-hotel Shelbourne sigue en refacciones, con lobby lleno de polvo , ascensores sucios. La habitación (dada en reemplazo de la originalmente contratada) era sólo eso,no el departamento de un ambiente contratado. Eso significó no tener una kichnette mas o menos adecuada . El baño tenia el techo con humedad desde arriba y caia polvo sobre el inodoro . Como el Lobby esta en arreglos, estacionar para hacer el checking-out es posible sólo tras discutir con los valets parkings que están desesperados y amenazan con llamar a la policia para que te hagan una multa ..La pileta estaba seca y habia que ir a otro hotel creo, algo absolutamente incómodo .El wifi no funcionaba. Positivo: solamente la ubicación .Creo que deberÃan cerrar hasta terminar de una vez todas las refacciones

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well appointed condo. The balcony was great to have a coffee and enjoy the sunrise. It was certainly a suntrap. Plenty of shopping at lincoln rd mall. A bonus was the karoke bar on the premises where they had live entertainment. beach on the doorstep which we took advantage of. I would highly recommend this property. Hopefully we can return here another year. Also we found use of the wireless internet very handy and the owner was very helpful and pleasant which made our stay that bit more enjoyable

I was there for six weeks. The Condo was exceptionally comfortable with everything I needed in it. The outdoor pool was heated. Everyday I was able to walk on the beach, search for shells and talk with other snowbirds.
Many shopping areas are near by and restruants are plentiful. One of the best things was to relax and watch the Ocean gulf from the condo. This is definitely a bargin.

We love room 621 that we rented from Sunspot rentals for several reasons: The room was a 1 bedroom so our sons were in the other room and we had some privacy and you can't beat the location! It's close to shopping, restaurants, and of course, the beach! The rooms are kept neat, and they're a decent size (we have 2 teenage sons). We've stayed a couple of years in a row now, and look forward to making this an annual trip.

This condo "wow-ed" us from the moment we walked in. The decor was gorgeous, the space was ok but the location was unbeatable. We were just a few steps away from the ocean. And the pool was just too good to describe. We spent most of our time in the pool, as we were traveling with two small children.
If traveling with babies or small children, this is a great place in South Beach to stay. The owner had supplied a pack n play for us upon our arrival.
The location of the condo is ideal for someone who wants to be right in the center of it all. The ocean right out the back door. The pool is right below the condo. The grocery store is convenient, and the best outlet malls just a short drive! The area is also packed full with some great restaurants all within just a short walk.

My Wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, walking distance to Lincoln Rd. and right on the ocean. The Shelborne is a great place to stay, the pool was fabulous and the Ocean view even better! Owners are very nice and accommodating. The Shelborne would also be suited for families which surprised us.

Came down for spring Break with 2 friends. Everything went well. We had rain 2 of the 6 days which wasn't what we hoped for but everything else went well.. All in all a great trip. We stayed in room 810. Amazing View of the Ocean and Pool from the room.

Went with the family for a week away from the cold. The room was a bit small for the 5 of us but it was nice and we had a good time. Location is right on the beach and close to all the stores and nightclubs. There were a few kids staying at the hotel but not as many as we would have liked. Our kids like to make new friends!!

This was our family vacation and everything went well. We spend a bit more than we expected since food and drinks in South Beach can get pricey. The hotel was nice and I really liked having a gym to work out in for free.. The gym wasn't much to look at but it had all the equipement I needed.. The wife and kids loved the Pool and the beach.. Although they spent most of the time in the Pool. The boys were afraid of sharks in the Ocean.

perfect for our needs and budget. Traveling with
three teenagers, there were plenty of activities
close by to keep everyone entertained with swimming,
surfing, tennis, shopping or just hanging out by the
pool. The condo was small but very comfortable with
everything we needed for an easy and relaxing
vacation. We loved being able to eat at home. Can’t
wait to return! It was a perfect vacation for us all.

After much searching, we decided to rent from Sunspot
Rentals for the weekend. The rooms are not glamorous
or shiny-new, but it's Clean and modern and It's only
a short walk to lincoln rd and right on the beach.
The pool was perfect. The kitchen in the room was a
big plus to warm up meals..
If we are lucky enough to return for a vacation in
Miami, we will be renting this property again. -

My family and I really loved everything about our vacation. The location was great! The condo was beautiful! We felt extremely safe. My kid loved the heated pool and dad and I loved the beach being right behind the hotel. It was a lot of fun! We want to stay in the same condo again.

This was absolutely one of the best vacations we have ever been had. We usually go to St. Augustine Beach to stay with Relatives, but decided we wanted something different instead, so we tried this absolutely gorgeous rental. Totally worth every penny! We booked through a guy named Jason. I was a bit apprehensive about booking something through the internet but it all worked out well. They met us in the lobby of the hotel and took us up to our room.. Everything went well for our 2 week stay.

The Location was great. Right on the Ocean. The Bellboy and staff at the hotel were always very nice although because we were staying at one of the private condos the bell didn't help us take our bags up to the room.. We lugged them through the airport all day another 20 ft didn't kill us. There was an event at the nightclub at the Shelborne the night we were there and since we were staying in the hotel we got in free... We only stayed 1 night and had a blast.

We booked this room online for a short 2 day stay before heading out on a cruise. The website said they have a 3 night minimum stay but we inquired anyway.. The said they would take just 2 nights but they only had 2 rooms available that they would accept us in for 2 nights.. Found that a bit odd but whatever. We got to the hotel late about 11:30pm and one of the rental agents met us in the lobby which was nice.. The hotel was a great location in South Beach although about 15 minutes from the Port of Miami. The hotel itself was basic and alright. Nothing spectacular (expect the Pool that was great) The room was small but had an amazing Ocean view. The only real negative was parking. We rented a car and parking was $20 per day..

SunSpot service was amazing. Being my first trip to USA I had many doubts,
and they helped me on many things beyond my reservation. Really really nice.
I stayed in ocean view room 910 and I was blown away by the view the room
had, it's really amazing with a huge window facing the pool and the blue
ocean.
The hotel has a VERY nice pool and is located in a nice are as well, you can
walk to Linconl Road since its just 2 blocks away, tough ocean drive is a little
bit too far. Anyways the hotel is facing the ocean so you can go from the pool
to the beach in 30 seconds.
I'll definetely stay again.

We had a great time. The hotel was surprisingly busy for the end of June. The pool and nightclub in the hotel were packed. The room was clean, renovated and had a great view. Parking is tough I won't bring a car next time. This is just the vacation I needed.

This was our annual trip to South Beach. I can't tell you how nice it was to wake up every morning staring at the waves rolling in on the beach. The hotel was a perfect location and room was just peferect. The hotel staff wasn't very attentive but that is pretty much anywhere in South Beach. Loved the heated pool and the beach right behind the hotel was a great spot to meet some locals.
We'll be back next year.. (or Maybe sooner)
