My group went the weekend after Ultra this year and stayed for a week. The price was incredibly fair considering the traffic at this time. The room was great, clean, and stocked with very useful appliances. We stayed in Unit a and couldn't have been any happier.
The hotel itself is also very nice (easy walk to the beach, great pool and hot tub, friendly service). Lee made all the transaction very simple and was accommodating to any needs.

I recently stayed at one of Lee's units at the Shelborne and I must say I was impressed with the whole experience.
As soon as our plane landed, I had already received a text from one of Lee's assistants confirming we had landed and what time we would be at the unit. Once we arrived we were greeted by Eduardo who was right on time and very friendly. He showed us to our room and explained everything we needed to know.
The room was fabulous. Very clean and stocked with all the essential items for a beach vacation. The view from the balcony was absolutely incredible. Having a corner balcony, we had stunning views of the beach, pool as well as the South Beach art deco skyline.
I was also very impressed with the way we were treated by the hotel being condo guests. We had access to all of the hotel's amenities, in fact, in certain circumstances we were given priority over hotel guests since we were staying in a condo.
Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend staying at one of Lee's units to anyone visiting South Beach.

Very easy booking process that gave me confidence everything was Ok before I arrived. Excellent apartment with all you need for a great vacation. The views were incredible and the hotel facilities on site were first class. Location was perfect for all the sights on South Beach and we loved the on site fitness room which was always empty and free to use ! The Concierge was also helpful with recomendations and tips on what to do. We also met with the Owner Lee who ensured our stay was perfect and stress free. Will definaltely use this rental again ! Great value when you compare the price of this rental with a hotel bedroom !

I was stranded in miami during the hurricane sandy so I had to stay at a place that's most affordable. this place is very good for a single person or a couple. it's very close to the beach and Lincoln road as well. Tho the place was not a big place, I think two is the max, it's comfortable and clean. I would def come back here next when I visit Miami.Hight recommend this place to you.

This guest stayed in the Ocean View A Room, which is the smallest of the 4 units I offer at The Shelborne. This unit now has 2 Full Size Beds and 1 Full Sofa Bed...so 3 people can (and have) stayed here comfortably. -

Fabulous location and the renovations are amazing. Lee and his team did everything that we asked and I couldn't fault the location, the price and the amenities.
We stayed in Suite B 4 of us for a friends 40th. Amazing again, we thought we would only use the room for wash, change and sleep as we didn't think that it would be enough room for us. Plenty of room for us all with wardrobe etc beds and sofa beds where really comfortable. Clean towels and bed linens and wi-fi which was very useful to check flights and other stuff.
Ideal location as not in the hustle bustle of everything but not very far from anywhere also. Ideal location for everything you need and a 24 hour place at The Catalina which does amazing food and reasonable price.
Lots of things to do in Miami South Beach I really wish we stayed longer than 7 days but we will be returning back to The Shelborne very soon (if Lee will have rooms available) we were going to extend our stay but it was full and the flights were stupid costs to change.
I have left lots of stuff out but all I can say is stay here as its amazing and I hope u get the chance to experiene it...

My Girls and I stayed in suite 621 at the Shelborne Hotel. We were greeted by alex who works along side of Lee. very polite both he and Lee. He assisted us with taking our things up to the room. Showed us where everything in the suite was. Let us know that if we needed anything not to hesitate to call. The suite was very pretty. It was stocked with plates, glasses, cutlery, microwave, and fridge. The location was very conveient smack dead in the middle of all of the action on Collins ave. We were able to walk right out of the back off of the pool to get right to the beach. I cant wait to start planning our next trip. We will definantly being renting from Lee only using one of the larger suites with an ocean view. I highly recommend renting form Lee because he went over and beyond to make sure that we had a early check in, and a late check out if we needed it. The pic of the pool is exactly what it looks like when you get there. I only have one complaint and it had nothing to do with Lee, and and that was that they had a pool party on a Saturday afternoon and wanted us to sit up top way closer to the darn sun. The people who i guess purchased tickets were able to sit poolside. Needless to say pretty women in nice swim wear we were able to keep our seats pool side with those who purchased tickets with bottle service might i add. ;;) thanks again Lee for making myself and the ladies stay at the Shelborne a trip to remember...

Miami was the last leg of a 4 week tour of the USa and I couldnt have found a better place to stay, this newly renovated hotel in the middle of south beach was a fantastic experience!
Size is great and the view is also fantastic, whilst being comfortable at the same time, location is great and with the facilities of the hotel at your disposal you simply cant do better.
I will definitiely be staying here again when I come back and would reccomend it to anyone!

The apartment was really clean and nice and very like the pictures on the site. We had a sea view, which was good. The Shelbourne Hotel itself was impressive. The rennovation they have done is great. It's also in a really convenient place, near the beach and a short walk to the bars in South Beach. Lee, the owner was really helpful and got us on the hotel guest list for the WMC parties in the Shelbourne. We think it's worth the money we paid. And we'd definitely recommend it to anyone. We will be looking to come back next year.

Second time renting with Lee (great guy!), first at The Mercury a couple weeks earlier. Fell in love with Miami, decided to come back at short notice and ended up staying at this place coz other one was booked. Wow! Beautiful apartment, comfortable, good size, tastefully furnished. The location of this apartment is incredible! Right on the beach, near Ocean Drive, in the heart of the action. Saturday pool party at The Shelborne is amazing. All the security and amenities of a top hotel, but at a great price. Lee's a great guy, really helpful and friendly.

My best friend and I had nothing less than a fantastic stay in Miami and that is with a whole-hearted thanks to Lee and his assistant, Alex. I should mention that Lee is extremely accommodating (even with our late night travels) and our transactions and communications were timely and hassle free. In addition, the apartment is equipped with anything you'd need for an enjoyable stay, which includes among other things, a hair dryer, beach towels, and chairs. The apt was as described (if not better) and although Lee mentions the front desk as being "limited", the front desk is an absolute pleasure to work with. Not to forget that the location is impeccable- just steps from the beach, nice restaurants, and shopping. I would undoubtedly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting The Shelbourne again, but of course through Lee. I give our overall experience 5 stars. Thank you, Lee and alex.

It was our first trip with our 6 month old daughter and I was very picky as to where we should stay. I found this gorgeous property and decided to pick it hoping it will be perfect for our first family getaway.
Indeed it was! Lee was so great to work with! He was always available and replied to my emails promptly. This property met all my expectations plus more! Everything was within walking distance and not noisy for those who are worried about loud party goers. The room was clean, bright, and very comfy.

Lee was very accomodating and always easy to reach. Alex the assistant took great care of us during our stay and was also accessible. The unit is exactly as advertised and just enough room for 3 people. The property is centrally located and access to the beach and pool is a short walk away. The hotel did not offer baggage storage which was really the only drawback but other than that the unit offered us everything we needed. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

We elected to stay in the art-deco district of South Beach and chose to stay in this privately owned condo because it was far less expensive than the quoted rate through the hotel's reservations desk. We stayed 7 nights and paid us$950 less than the hotel quoted rate!
Lee Baron was absolutely reliable and we would have no hestitation in booking one of his properties again. He is supported by his "runner" Alex who was reliable and on-time. Our booking was made simple by Lee who has a very quick email turnaround time for details and confirmations. His process is simple and effective with no hidden traps. We were advised of full, total cost and had no surprises. As a non-American based traveller we find the addition of taxes and resort fees and all the extra charges imposed for pool towel service, drinks and prohibition of taking one's own water to drink poolside is frustrating. Lee explained all the charges related to our room so we were pleased with his thoroughness and transparency.
On checkout we were to receive a refund of security deposit and this was done without question and extremely promptly which speaks volumes about Lee's integrity.
So, we suggest Lee Baron operates a reputable condo rental.
Now, for the condo itself ...
We stayed in a single room condo at 1801 Collins Street with an ocean view from behind the bed. It was probably about 350 sq ft but I am uncertain of that. It had a queen bed, bedside boxes, CD/radio, flat screen TV (visible from all angles, a good size glass table with 2 chairs, a nice white leather sofa, kitchenette with many appliances, small refrigerator and a moderate size but adequate bathroom with a large room for clothes and travel bags.
We found the location to be within very comfortable walking distance to everything in South Beach or within a very inexpensive bus ride. We caught the bus to Joe's Stone Crab - 18 blocks away - for 50 cents each!!!
Because of unusual rain we caught a cab to america arena to watch Miami Heat (NBa) and it cost $25 with traffic and tips. We caught the bus home for $2 each!
1801 Collins St (The Shelborne) is near enough to everything.
Past renos are all done - the Shelborne is fully made over without construction noise, which was a cause for past complaint about this hotel.
You cannot stay in the art deco district with an expectation of totally modern facilities. There is compromise because of the age of the buildings and their primary services construction.
You will have noise intrusion both from the street level and from neighbours beside or above. It's not unbearable but it is obviously annoyingly present. The hot water to the shower was a raffle - hot at times then cool - we were doing a shower dance!
The kitchen facilities were more than adequate to cater cheap 'in condo' meals or simple snacks. There is a CVS and Walgreens within easy walk for groceries.There are restaurants everywhere within 2 or 3 blocks or wider.
As a private condo rental you may not have full hotel service. We had no problems but you need to be aware that you are not a guest of the hotel. As australians we were a little surprised by some of the american customs on property managment - specifically we were warned off using the pool area on Friday and Saturday where "parties" were sold out to promotional companies. To be truthful you could actually use the pool, you just couldn't sit around it when these parties were being held.
As unusual as this was for us it is apparently common enough in the USa glam locations!
If you want to stay in South Beach we found this to be a good location.
Tip: Maxine's over the road was an easy place to get any assortment of breakfast or easy meal that you could want. Not expensive, wide menu and reasonable service and good value. The bus stop downtown is just over the road - no issue.
If you want value knowing that others are paying much more but you understand there is a trade-off in staying in art-deco then this is a very, very good place to stay.

I appreciate the time put in to this review and it is fair and honest. However a couple of things I need to respond too.
The Ocean View Room where these guests stayed faces the ocean and does not have the real street noise that is standard in the city view rooms that face directly on to Collins. Really, it is rare that this unit or the other one that I offer has any meaningful city noise affecting the stay.
As for the limitations on renting privately vs. booking directly with the Hotel; the only real difference is that I don't offer daily house-keeping-though I can arrange for additional cleaning for guests who request it.
Finally, private guests have the same access to all hotel facilities, though they cannot charge anything to the room, for example, room service. Nearly all private functions held at The Shelborne are open to registered guests in private rentals, so other than some sort of commercial function (for example a Model Shoot or other commercial event of this nature) private guests have the same access to the pools and pool-side chairs as hotel guests.
There has been some confusion about this in the past; and there seems to be some inconsistency from the Hotel with respect to use of Pool Towels. So for what it's worth, the units I offer have Beach Towels, Beach Chairs and Beach Umbrellas...as well as other amenities not offered by the hotel for free...perhaps the biggest free amenity being in room 12 MB Wi-Fi which is not available to hotel guests.

Alex and Lee were both a pleasure to deal with. They were reliable and professional. The location of the hotel is amazing - walking distance to everything and right on the beach. The hotel common areas and the grounds are beautiful and lively. The beach chairs and towels are very comfortable and staff is attentive. The appartment is very clean and it has all the amenities needed but it could use a little upgrading: carpet, bathtub and sofas. The bed is very comfortable and we truly enjoyed the sound system and free wi-fi. Overall, the appartment is very good value for the area!

We used the kitchenette everyday. The hotel amenities were great. 2 restaurants on site. Friendly staff. On the beach. We had a fantastic time!

From the very beginning-when I first emailed to Lee, it was sure, that he was trustworthy.He recommended with links and was so helpful-the transaction via paypal was so easy.As soon as we came back to Germany-yesterday-the deposit was back on my account-couldn´t be faster.
The appartement was gorgeous-it was clean, it was comfortabel with TV, even an umbrella for the beach, great view and right on Collins avenue,just a short walk to Lincoln ave, where u can find everything you want.From beautiful shops to famous restaurants. The beach is right behind the hotel-the Shelbourne, which is fantastic-we love the chic black&white; style-it´s paradise.You can walk along the beach to famous Ocean Drive, it doesn`t even take 15 minutes or u just rent a bike. The owner, Lee Baron, was very nice & accommodating. The room was comfortable & clean, for the 4 of us. The price was the biggest selling point. Once we arrived in our room & met Lee, we knew we would return. The kitchen had plenty of needed items, but the location of the microwave was too high for us, as we are all fairly short. The pool area was nice too! The location of the Shelborne is perfect. . . close to many stores, eateries, & entertainment. We are already talking about renting again from Lee, hopefully for a longer time. Thanks Lee for everything! Take care.

I just want to share my experience staying at Lee's Ocean View condo at Shelborne Hotel.. Just FYI I am a very demanding and picky person, and I have always stayed the least at 4* hotels in Miami and Shelborne hotel and Lee's property exceeded all my expectations and I was pleasantly surprised with the coziness, cleanness, and actually the size of the room! It had all the devices we needed, as well as the separate closet room!!! There were 3 of us and we had all the space we needed! Keep in mind that in reality the property looks much better than in the pictures! For the money we've spent it was the best deal ever and definitely we are looking forward to our next stay at Lee's condo!!! Lee was very nice and helpful and very reliable and trust-worthy! Upon our check-out we have received our security deposit back shortly!
P.S. The location of the hotel is just the best anyone can imagine! It is surrounded by fancy 5* hotels, has a direct access to the beach as well as it's just 2 mins walking distance to all the hot spots of Miami nightlife!

Now to the room... I recenly stayed in "City Vew a" with 2 of my girlfriends. We walked in, and was captivated by the view and location alone. You can look over the city at look directly at South Beach!! The linens were fresh and the unit was extremely clean!! This made our stay extremely comfortable.
The unit also was stocked with plenty of fresh bath & beach towels and even a Beach Umbrella! The beds were cozy and having the kitchenette stocked with glass ware, plateware, silverware, cups, and so much more in the room really helped save on eating out all day. Great closet space also!!
The building is amazing itself!! I would definetly stay in one of these units again!!! Thank you sooo much!!!

My wife and daughter stayed in this suite at the Shelbourne in april for 4 days and everything was great. The weather, the room, and the location was superb. The kitchen area was an added plus as well. Lee was very accomodating for our early checkin and even helped us with our luggage. I will recommend this place to others.

Next time I'm in South Beach I'll book this apartment (or another one from Lee). A few reasons why:
- Great location: right at the beach, close to Lincoln Rd
- Sunny (with a big window), with everything we needed (kitchen, dining table, umbrella for the beach)
- Since it's at the Shelborne hotel, there is a nice lobby with reception, security, pool, etc. There was some construction going on in the building, but didn't bother at all.
Lee was extremely helpful, professional, and available, from the moment we booked the room until we checked out.
We had a couple of special requests, and Lee helped us promptly, and very effectively.

Lee was very easy to work with, very communicative. He met us at the apartment to show us around and even arranged for discount parking for the duration of our stay. The apartment is great, with a king size bed and spacious living room. It overlooks the Versace Mansion, and in spite of being on the corner of Ocean Drive, was very pleasantly quiet. I highly recommend it!

The studio/suite room was large with plenty of room for the two of us. The mini kitchen, 2 couches in the livingroom, and wireless internet were great. We were there to attend a conference, and loved to be within walking distance of the convention center and shopping and restaurants. Great location, nice pool and of course the beach and boardwalk are beautiful

My husband & I stayed here for 7 nights over New Year's Eve. We had the best time ever! Lee was terrific. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed & more for a very reasonable price. This is by far the place to stay...location, beach, pool, restaurants, etc...

Whole Holiday was awesome!!! Stayed on the 8th floor of the Shelborne. Hotel had everything we needed, concierge, pool etc but was being renovated which got in the way a little but nothing to put us off (looking at the plans it will be awesome when complete) Contact with Lee was smooth and easy from start to finish with everything from mails to meeting in lobby. He gave us a brief tour and some information to get us started in South Beach which was very helpful. Room was small but what we expected and comfortable for all our needs. Small kitchenette, Kettle, microwave, hairdryer, iron etc etc etc plenty of storage space for all our clothes, large TV. Location was very near perfect, located on 18th a couple of blocks up from Lincoln road and all the nice restaurants and only a few more to Espanyola with even more choice. Ocean Drive only a short walk away and the beach at your back door, close enough to everything and just far enough away so not to noisy!! if you like the night-life your just round the corner from high end Mynt Lounge and only a few blocks or so from High End Set Nightclub (Lincoln Road), Mansion and Cameo nightclubs on Washington ave.
All in all i don't think you could ask for much more for the price you pay in relation to other places nearby!!!
Everything was great and I would most definitely stay here again should I return to Miami... bring lots of money to South Beach as everyone will tell you - Everything is Expensive in South Beach!!! (Apart from this room :-)

We, a party of two, stayed at this condo for 5 nights while vacationing in Miami the Christmas week 2010, and had a really great time. Lee (the owner) was very accommodating, from booking, making arrival/departure arrangements, to returning the security deposit. We used vacation rentals several times, and this was one of the smoothest and most pleasant. We stayed in a city-view corner unit facing Collins ave, on the 6th floor of the Shelborne Hotel. The hotel was under renovation during our stay, a little dusty and messy. However, the condo itself was bright and super clean, with freshly cleaned comforter covers/sheets. The condo isn't very large, but it uses space efficiently and provides ample space (shelves/dresser/nightstand/walking closet) for your belongings. We dined out most of the time thanks to the great restaurants nearby, but there were microwave, toaster, refrig, and utensils for use. Another nice thing about the unit was that we could read, while lying in bed, the time and temperature displayed 24/7 on the top of a tall building on Lincoln Rd. And it was a pleasant surprise that we could get a decent view of the ocean from the L-shaped window. Of course, the best part of this condo is its location. Several nice restaurants are steps away from the hotel. Lincoln Rd is two short blocks away. And you don't want to miss the great Frensh bakery on Collins ave two blocks away south from the hotel for breakfast. No doudt that we would love to stay at this condo next time we visit Miami again.

Our experience with this vacation rental at the shelbourne was amazing! Being Miami natives, we expected to be lied to about the location or the amenities; but with this vacation rental we were surprised to find the room exceeded even the advertisement.
All of the sheets, towels, pillow covers were bran new. The room had everything we needed, even a kitchen with cups, glasses, and utensils. The bathroom was very clean with many bath and body products.
And lastly, its location right on the beach makes this rental a no-brainer. My wife and I have already decided that we will stay here every time we come back to miami!

I stayed at one of Lee's Rooms at the Shelborne with one of my friends for 5 nights in October and really had a good time. The Hotel had some renovatoin going on, but it didn't effect us or the room we were staying in. And the Room was really clean and comfortable, room enough for my friend and I, comfortable beds, new sheets, blankets, towels and in general everything was in really good condition. The kitchenette was a real plus. The price I paid was about 40% below what the Hotel was charging and I had access to everything that the other hotel guests had-for allot less! I will definitely stay in one of Lee's places the next time I come back and when I can spend a little more, will move up to the suite he offered me-a really good deal compared to the Hotel price, but more than I wanted to spend on this trip.
