I was very excited to stay at this studio with my sister but I was very disappointed when I arrived there! Not only were the walls scuffed and the windows dirty, but the bed was creaky and the view that is shown in the picture is a slanted view. The actual front on view is of the other side of the building. The tv never worked and when I tried to contact the owner she told me the technician would arrive the next day but never did. When I tried to recontact her, she never responded back. It's a shame because the hotel is great and it's an overall great location. Oh yeah, and there is no parking included since it is a condo within a hotel. Supposedly we were added to the hotel's list for amenities, but we never were and always had to explain our way out.

We stayed at the Shelborne last year and found it conveniently located and we were looking forward to our family holiday on the beach. We arrived to a hardly cleaned room with 2 pillows for 4 people. If this was it, it wouldn't have been bad. The bed frames were weak and the bed creaked every time you moved and were very uncomfortable. The kitchenette was not at all equipped. I wasn't expecting much but simple things like a sharp knife or a can opener would have been nice. The t.v. only worked about 1/2 of the time we were there (sometimes we had a picture and other times we did not).
The worst of it all though was the fact that the Shelborne rented out the entire pool area to a private function and it was completely off limits to guests for 3 full days. I would never have booked a hotel without a pool and yet for half of our stay that is what we had. No laying around the pool deck, no swimming and no access to the beach through this area.
I think this is unconscionable. The hotel profited from this function and did not care about their guests. They would not even provide beach lounges free of charge for the inconvenience.
When I made this unfortunate incident known to the rental owner there was no partial reimbursement made to help compensate for our lack of amenities and our extreme disappointment.
